Case HS/1 - DOGGY!
Sadly, Reep is not here today, nor will he be for some time. Sadly? Hah! You now have the run of the... clubhouse? It's a tiny little lounge space, full of odd accoutrements and belongings that might befit such a rat-brained person. Shiny things and cozy blankets. It is a nice place to stow away during this silly 'social period' the school instituted near the end of the day. Sure, some people are in the band, and chill with their band things, but you're not like them. You sit in a hole in the wall and chat wizardly. Fashionable. Tobias: The keys are just the one key, which is brass and doesn't fit into any lock. It does make the locks of the school that would normally stymie you casually unclench for a time when you approach. Handy, that.

The coffee is done, but the mug isn't in its usual spot. Where did it go? He forgot. Last edited by Fragmaster01; Mar 30th, 2014 at 05:20 AM. |

Somehow, Kira found herself in a backalley hideout. She wasn't quite sure how, but she was. It was a mystery which she quickly filed away as being pointless; it wasn't so bad, even with the others who were there. As long as they left her alone, she wouldn't have to explain herself or talk to them. As long as she could keep to herself, she could stay calm and collected. Sure, they were far more interesting characters than the rest of the school, but they were still people. If one thing was certain in her life, it was that people were gross.
Other people, anyway; Kira was just fine. After listening to Tobias' muttering and subsequent withdrawal from the world, she followed suit with one of those little audio thingamajigs. You know, the whatsits. It played a music with which she was familiar, and granted her a sense of calm and security among the strangers she found herself with. In addition to the bunny-eared schoolboy, there was the cute guy, the plain guy and the cool girl. None of them interested her. Turn up the beats, whatsit; she didn't need that deadbeat crowd cramping on her style, nor forcing her to communicate with them. They were independent human beings who were perfectly capable of doing so themselves. |

Jack sat in Reep's hideaway staring violently at Tobias. It's not that he meant the rabbit any violence so much as staring violently was about the only way be stared. It's hard to learn the appropriate way to look at people when no one, not even other supernaturals, hardly ever notice you. He didn't really understand how Tobias could ever say that he did not want conversation, that he did not like social interaction. What kind of unfair **** is that!? Jack wished that he had enough of a social life that he could "want to be alone."
The feeling boiled for a little while until the violent stare actually became menacing. Perhaps Jack did mean violence to Tobias after all, or perhaps he was feeling indigestion from all that food he recovered from the cafeteria dumpster. Oi, Toby," the boy's voice seemed somewhere between a yell and a whisper, as though he wanted to be heard but the universe didn't want to hear him, "What gives!? We ain't good enough for mister Houdini in Wonderland? Think this Jack is going to stand for your ****?" He stood and waded through the various leaving of their rat brained compatriot, leaving a trail of what he hoped was cheese in his wake. He considered grabbing Tobias' book and tossing it aside but for the moment he just got uncomfortably close and stood their grimacing. Last edited by TheLawfulNeutral; Mar 30th, 2014 at 08:25 PM. |

It might take the others a few moments to notice Minako. The blue-haired, plainly (if slightly effeminately) dressed boy had his arms crossed, was sitting in a dark corner...taking a nap, actually. It had taken the raised voice of Jack's swearing to wake him up, Minako yawning as he stood up, suddenly 200% more visible. "Mmm...glad to know that partial-invisibility cantrip partially works..." He would mutter, eyeing the other four in turn. "Mmm...Talk, is it? Aaah, too early in the morning for that, too early." Reaching into his satchel and pulling out a thermos, Minkao would begin to chug it, shrugging upon Chris's comment. "Well, if we're going to socalize, um, my name's Minako, Minako Morgan. Pleased to meet you all. ...That IS how these highschool socializing events, rituals, stuff go? Um, do we need to shake hands now?"

Instead of yelling back at anyone again, Jack stands there in a strange state of shocked awe. He didn’t expect Tobias to react to him; in fact he didn’t expect anyone else in the room to react to him. No one, not even Reep ever seemed to notice when he snuck in for a breather. He knew that most other supernaturals were generally glossed over by the rest of humanity, but Jack had been forgotten wholly by it and by most other supernaturals as well. He stood there in place before swiveling around slowly, looking at each of the others in turn.
“You guys are telling me that y’all actually notice me? Like I’m not just an empty space and a whisper?” You guys actually see me here right now?!” Tears begin streaming down his face as he comes to the conclusion himself. Making an uncharactoristically intelligent move, he chooses not to rush and hug Tobias, but rather slams himself into a hug on Minako. "You people really see me! Oh! Minako! Chris! Tobias! Creepy cat girl! Oh sweet zombie Jesus!" The words become sobs, the sobs become laughter, and he cotninues on for a little while in a display of reckless emotional abandon. |

Jack, perhaps gaining a little composure looks to Chris, tears having left a wet white trail through an otherwise somewhat dirty face. "I would take floating or bunny ears over being left so alone. You are the first people to notice me since sixth grade! My parents no longer noticed or remembered me, the school teachers don't notice me. The people whose attic I've commandeered don't notice me. Like there is one thing not noticing people with powers like you guys, I've seen that work enough times by now, but its a whole other thing to not be noticed at all!"
The boy suddenly went green in the face and shut his eyes. "I think excitement plus diving for dinner in the dumpster is coming back to bite me." Jack now considers whether to vomit or lie down.... |

Minako froze for a minute, before wiggling out of Jack's hug, taking a few steps back. "Right, um, right. Yes, we notice you." He said, resuming taking his seat upon a cozy bean bag chair near the back. Pondering for a moment, he would reach into his bag, and pull out half of a sandwich. "Well, my mom packed me a bit too much food today, so, um, if you'd like something to eat.." By the tone of his voice, it was clear that Minako wasn't sure if Jack was being serious or not.

For the first time in forever, Tobias was feeling rather interested in what they had to say. He took it upon himself to raise himself and remove the book from their face. Of course he wasn't going to subdue to the temptations, but he would let off a slight sigh. "Maybe we should touch some of this stuff? For kicks."
