![]() "Beautiful, isn't she?" a voice asked from the other corner of the room. A bugbear stood in front of two frightened children, a boy that looked only 10, and an older girl, perhaps around 17. They were shackled to the wall and their mouths were gagged. The large goblin looked down at the youngsters then back at the group that had wondered in. "Oh, you are here for them are you?" A vile grin spread across his face. He raised his foot and slammed it down upon the boy's leg. An audible snap is heard, followed by the cries of both of the children. He raised his morning star, a fine object that glistened in the light from Fruros' sword. It almost seemed out of place considering the filth that the bugbear had chosen to live in. "Take them if you can."

Wargar entered the room with the rest of his party and saw the barbaric way the bugbear broke the young boy's leg. Without hesitation Lilith charged in swinging her blade at the brute. With others in his way, Wargar moved down towards the souther wall and moved along the south wall moving up next to engage the bugbear.

The cave was much smaller than Fruros' expectation and the team soon came to the end of it. His Light spell proved to be useful as this inner part of the cave was much darker than the outer layer. Aside from the litters on the ground, the furnitures appeared structured. The space also contained much more items than the outer space, at least there were items on the table -- unlike the one on the outside. As he turned to the other side of the cave, he saw the two hostages and the freakish bugbear. A huge brute compared to the goblins outside, the creature stood tall over the poor children. |

Flacari moved into the cave, behind the other two. With real space available to her, she took close aim at the bugbear, and let fly, hoping for the best.

Lilith let out a short gasped screamed as the massive hit knocked the wind from her breath. She managed to hold on to her sword as she cradles the wound with her other hand. She manages to withdraw a few feet as she tries to

Wargar could only watch as the morningstar came crashing down into Lilith's body, as she was hit she let out a scream that seemed to fill the cavern. That scream echoed into Wargar's mind and his eyes seemed to glaze over as his muscles bulged beneath his scales almost threatening to burst forth underneath his skin. Wargar's already impressive form somehow became more threatening in an instant. A low guttural growl emerged from his throat, and then in a flash he roared and

Wargar was overtaken before he could realize. The red haze was a familiar friend, it quietly moved his conscious to the dark recesses of his mind to let his instincts take over. He had given himself over into the rage, and the only thing he felt was his hatred flowing through him. The anger of betrayal & the disgust of a creature as lowly as a bugbear attacking his friend. There was nothing more to do than rip him limb from limb & revel in the fury. Last edited by Bannana Beak; Oct 7th, 2014 at 01:35 PM. |

Wargar's flail had connected with the bugbear's face and made a sickening smack & and audible crack from the bugbear's neck breaking. The sound was something that would churn weaker a man's stomach. With that blow the bugbear was defeated, yet there were no cheers or cries of joy. The children were no longer screaming and the room seemed to have gone silent except for the weeping boy, everyone seemed to be watching what the Lizardfolk would do.
After his swing Wargar stared at the bugbear broken on the floor wishing for it to get up and fight more. Wargar's mouth was frothing and saliva dripped down between his teeth. There wasn't enough blood, he needed more bloodshed...he needed to terrorize. There was a slight rustle of chains that caused Wargar to lift his ponderous head up at the children on the wall where he saw the girl look off to the side drawing his line of sight as well. All clumped standing together were three figures dressed for combat, a sweeter gift couldn't be asked for. Wargar felt this tugging sensation at the back of his mind. His conscious mind was striving to bring himself back under control, testing his mental limits to the breaking point. Wargar's body wasn't ready to give up & let go & started to take a step towards the three warriors. Not many people understand the plight of a barbarian, each time they let their blood lust take over it could be last time they control their own body. You see the world through a haze and cannot tell friend from foe, just targets and victims to demolish. Sometimes you have to ride the rage till your body is to exhausted to keep going & others have lost control completely, never to stop till their bodies life escapes them. The barbarian can take control back & can happen in an instant, but they have to cage their bodies natural instincts. Many barbarians have a totem or a loved one they focus their emotions & will to give them a boost over their instinct. Wargar had always let his rage take over and destroy all till he was exhausted, many times it ended with some of his own men killed as well. In the split of a second in the middle of his step he regained control and he almost stumbled backwards. His muscles relaxed and his sight became clear leaving his body exhausted. His new resolve had saved him this time & he hoped would continue to save him in the future. He couldn't bring himself to look at his companions for they must think him the monster he really was. He had always had the rage deep within him & he had done unspeakable horrors while under it's influence, but he couldn't blame the rage. Wargar knew that those things he did were just his own desires, and he enjoyed what he did in those moments. Wargar put his bloody weapon away & quickly turned around and shuffled to the sothern wall to hid himself and Dice Roll:

Lilith caught her breath as Wargar felled the creature and was about to continue killing. Wargar, NO! focus on my voice. It's ok. I'm ok. She sheathed her sword moving a bit sluggishly and managed to position herself in front of Wargar, for better or worse.
She placed both hands on his shoulders and looked into his rage/blood-lusted eyes. We're safe now. It's ok. Thank you. She gave him a hug, then soon after, life once again began to show in Wargar's eyes as his mind returned. Lilith smiled as she was not going to be crushed by Wargar and turned to the children. Children, it's alright. We are here to save you from these creatures and will help you get back to town so you can meet your family. Looking over the little boy, who's leg was twisted. This might hurt a bit when we go to set it. She had used her ability to cure for the day, but she still had to help the boy. Using her ability, she called upon her powers to Cast Aid to grant him temp HP, just in-case resetting the bone damages him. Dice Aid:

The many screams pulled Fruros back into reality as his imaginery vision and sound faded away like he just woke from a dream. ****, what am I doing? Fruros quickly assessed the situation. The bugbear was dead on the ground, killed by his companion judging by the wounds and amount of blood on the ground. His companions all seemed okay aside from Lilith, whose side was still bloodied from the recent blow. |

Lilith breathed a sigh of relief when Fruros stepped up and knew what he was doing. Yea, sorry but I just wanted to help. as she backed off to let the professionals do their thing. When Fruros looked at her wound, it looked pretty bad. He could judge if she suffered another one like that she probably would not survive. She looked at him with slight concern when he checks her wound, So, how is it Doc? Despite hurting and throbbing like heck.
