Hi all, new to this whole pathfinder thing as well. I remember playing a game way back when it was in beta and they were just handing out the pdfs. Seemed like a really good system but only played one game for a short term before catastrophe struck. Coincidentally its the same reason I disappeared from dndog for a while as well. But looks like this will be fun, getting my character updated I know I am missing stuff still. Also figuring out final costs and the like. Should be solidified by tonight.

The PFCS was not very clear regarding languages in one aspect: A human belonging to one of the nations knows both common and the nation's language as automatic languages, or do they know only their national language as automatic?

I hate buying the misc items too... I saw someone's houserule once, that everyone has access within reason to the basic goods on that table without bothering to track them. Seems like a really good rule.
No need to scan your Chronicle sheet Geo, there's an element of trust here after all. You get 400-500gp per mod anyway, so I can understand. As far as regional languages go... everyone knows Common, no matter where you're from. I personally run that everyone knows their regional language as well. I'm not sure if this is exactly the case in PFS but I will vote "go for it", because I'm 99% sure it'll probably never come up anyway. For those without the campaign setting, here are the regional languages. For those also without the campaign setting, PathfinderWiki will probably help you with some grounding in the setting! On character sheets (if you're not mentioned, it looks OK)- DarkMemories: your skills aren't done properly. Skills function slightly differently in Pathfinder. Rather than multiplying the skills by 4 at first level and having max ranks as level+3, you now don't. Instead, all skills have a max rank equal to your level, and your ranks gained at every level are just 6+int, or whatever is appropriate for your class. Class and cross-class skills cost 1 rank to raise them by 1 point, however, if you put a rank in a class skill, you gain a +3 "trained" bonus. On the upside, this actually should give you more skills than you already have. You can put 1+3 in both Knowledge (nature) and (dungeoneering), and you can still keep one skill point in Sense Motive. It just won't be a class skill, so you don't get the +3 trained bonus. I'll just answer your message here too. Sadly the Osirion Companion book was one of the early books and doesn't have traits in it. So unless you want to go digging around every one of the Companions, your best bet is to stick to the free traits PDF plus one from your faction listed in the book. Elbereth: Looks good, just your traits and feats left I think. ElCee: Something I didn't notice last night, you've got a whole lot of skill points over what a cleric should. Clerics get 2+int mod, plus an extra as you're human. So you've got 3 skills over what you should, at least at your int level. Mythrantar: Not done yet ![]() barelyundead82: You're missing your con bonus to HP (sorcs get a d6 HD in Pathfinder RPG, not d4). Also, you can only have two traits, not three--and both your social traits are ones that are banned. Oh, the additional trait feat... iirc it is also not legal for play. Sorry 'bout that. ![]() Something that just occured to me for everyone's sake: in Pathfinder Society, you get to make Craft, Perform or Profession rolls at the end of every module. This warrants you extra GP. The DCs are listed somewhere in the Guide to Organised Play, but from memory a DC 20 gets you an extra 20gp, DC 25, 50 gp, and as the DCs go up you can rack up a lot of nice "small change". So don't think these are useless skills. ![]() Something else that just occured: favoured class bonuses! Some of you are doing this, some of you are not. In Pathfinder RPG, everyone selects their own favoured class--it's not based on race at all. Half-elves get to pick 2, in fact. Every time you level up in your favoured class, you get the choice of either +1 HP or +1 skill point. So definitely don't forget about this! As a last general comment, for those who are using my sheets... please use the "PFRPG Beta" version for now. The "Pathfinder RPG" sheet is up so I can test some things mostly, and is probably going to be half destroyed before it's legitimately useful, and I forgot to remove it from the MySQL database before I went to bed ![]() I'm going be setting up a game very shortly, seeing as we've got more than enough people ready!

Crap. I just realized I didn't update Orrik from the Beta rules. Working on that now. I seemed to forget that they opted out of set racial favored classes between the Beta and final release. That means Orrik gets 1 extra skill point (Intimidate, to match the new Half-Orc racial ability).
Also choosing Power Attack since they changed 'Overhand Chop' into 'Vital Strike' and made it level 6.

I've got the first game going! There's 5 people with character sheets up in varying states of completion, so once we get one more I can get the second going too. Thanks for your patience.
Oh... if you happen to be seeing secret text or threads meant for other players, please tell me.

Aha, I even read the book twice and still missed both those. As for skills, yah was slightly confused as well. Fixed in a minute.
as for the HP issue, didn't know if we maxed first level, didn't see anything about it at all and well, rolled a 4 on it

Oh in the PDF it says you are max first level, and avaerage each otehr level, rounded up. So a D10 is 6. I was just using that to make my character.

Yah, I am thinking I was going off of outdated junk. Just maxed it so no worries, you are right. And like I said, only one game under my belt at all in pathfinder and that was over a year ago. Only lasted two weeks so I am really really just relearning it. On that note, just going to trust the SRD (against my nature) and not this book. Also no sweat on the banned stuff, just figured I would take it since it pretty much explained the mixed heritage of the character (IE Garundi father keleshite mother but taking after the keleshite more)

Yup, you get max HP at 1st, and average (rounded up) every level thereafter.
Poor BAB chars (wiz, sor) get 6 at first, and 4 every level thereafter. Mid BAB chars (clr, drd, brd, mnk, rog) get 8 at first, and 5 every level thereafter. Good BAB chars (ftr, rgr, pal) get 10 at first ,and 6 every level thereafter. Barbarians get 12 at first, and 7 every level thereafter.

Yep, that, what she said.
You are very pretty Tanuki, and so is your twin sister, or is that a mirror. Referring to your avatar. (Many apologies...I took some percocet for a really bad migraine I had, my humor is normally pretty bad, now it barely makes any sense.)
