2 paladins 1 ranger 1 wizard 1 sorcerer Paladins can heal OK... at higher levels. My Paladin 3 has a (formerly) full-charged wand of cure light wounds, and in a pretty tough scenario where 4/6 members of the group had similar wands and we were playing up-tier, we ended up using 10-15 charges each, not to mention my lay on hands ability. No cleric is pretty tough, but it's totally do-able if you're careful. My suggestion is to stick to your guns and play what you like. ![]()

Yeah and later you can channel energy which is like a mass lay on hands.

Well I love clerics, I just thought I would try a paladin, its been a long time since I played one in an extended game.
My clerics are usually not the typical spamming divine metamagic type. In fact i dont' think I ever made one of those.

Well, you can't use DMM in Pathfinder Society anyway (thank god!).
There weren't all that many clerics at GenConOz but most groups seemed to get along fine, so stick with the pally if that's what you like. ![]()

Sorry about the hold-up. I was working on catching up all of my games when a wee little storm managed to knock out our power for a few hours (probably some dip-**** driver hit a power line). Now, barring DB errors, I should be updating momentarily.

So much for my fear that everyone else would want to be a Hellknight, too.

Hellknights are freaking cool. The PrC for them should be out soon too.

Alright! Now presenting for the rest of you so far, Perils of the Pirate Pact!
By the way, this goes for everyone. If you're ever seeing things you shouldn't... or NOT seeing your faction missions, for example... please tell me.

Nice I was considering shield bash myself, but alas went the route of cleave instead.

All depends on your method of inflicting harm, really.
Being a falchion wielder, shield bash is kinda silly for me to get. So, Power Attack it is (-1 for +3 damage? Yes please.) However, I only have the PF Core. What is this Hellknight thing?

Introduction
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping to get into one of the groups if you can squeeze me in. Tanuki, I actually sent you my character write up a few weeks ago, but I have updated it to the Pathfinder Beta character sheet you pointed us to. I do have a couple of nits about the PF Beta sheet. It doesn't have a space for CMD and it doesn't reflect the +3 bonus for having ranks in an in-class skill. Other than that, it looks good. Please let me know if I can be added to a group, which adventure, and when to start posting. I have played in a couple of short-lived campaigns on DnDOG and although I am new to Pathfinder Organized Play, I previously played in the Living City and Living Jungle RPGA events. I look forward to gaming with you. Thanks, Gary

The PF RPG Beta sheet does indeed lack CMD, because CMD didn't exist for the beta. I've been working on the full sheet lately, and I'm currently up to the conundrum of how to put CMD into the sheet, actually... but! I should probably have everything working how I like it in the next few days.
Anyway, about games... With Embrodak and weredragon, we have 2 extra people. There were a few more people on the original interest thread who have not gotten back to me, and one more person who put a character up on the thread but hasn't posted here. So, potentially, we could pick up enough people to make a third game. That's probably my limit for running things at once, though! (If you know anyone that might be interested, do send them this way!) The alternative would be to hit the "hard ceiling" of players in a group and stick weredragon and Embrodak in one of the two groups running now. PFS recommends 4-6 players per table, but you CAN squeeze in 7 if need be. Anyway, I suppose this is a question to you two without games at the moment. Are you willing to wait (or go hound a few people to join in), or would you like to squeeze yourselves in?

Preferences
I think you'd be in the best position to make the decision of squeezing us in or having us wait, Tanuki, since you know the adventures. I would love to start playing right away, but I will understand if I have to wait. So, my preference is to squeeze in, but do what's best for the game. (I did notice, however, that one of the groups does not have a rogue.)

I've noticed we seem to be somewhat lacking in Rogues. And likely, for that matter, anyone with ranks in Disable Device. Still, my party seems to have a solid front line and good ranged support. Let's just hope we don't run into any traps.
Alternative precaution: Hope our Dwarven Barbarian friend likes being sent in first. I also just noticed that ElCee's character is the only one in our party who is Good. Everyone else is either Neutral or Chaotic Neutral. So much for being a righteous band of heroes. Last edited by Zephyr Runeglyph; Sep 29th, 2009 at 04:31 AM. |
