The Rusty Dragon
![]() For those I don't know: hello! For those I do: good to see you again! I'm looking forward to running this AP, probably my favourite of all of Paizo's creations, and I do hope you enjoy the ride.

Hello everyone!
I'm still deciding on how I'll organise the characters (i.e. one character thread or separate private threads), so for now don't post that kind of thing anywhere. I just allowed everyone to see a private thread with a lot of information on Sandpoint. It's privated because it contains a lot of information lifted directly from the module, and I'm trying to be as conscious of copyright as I can here. Give it a read if you'd like. ![]()

Congrats everyone, the applications were really stellar. It's a pleasure to be among you.
Heh, having just seen the notification, my heart is still beating a bit faster than usual. I must be really excited. ![]() I'd also like to thank Tanuki for the effort of DMing and the unenviable task of narrowing down such a great selection of PCs.

Noticed we don't have a traditional cleric in the group. Looks like the Paladin, the Bard, and the Druid will have to split that duty up amongst ourselves.
Looks like a great group of players and an interesting grouping of characters. This should be down right fun ![]() †

I actually came to a decision in a strange way... I had a few favourites, and I noticed they all were very nature/rural themed. So from there, I went and selected other similarly themed characters. And you're all human, too; that was a conscious decision as well.
![]() Between the Paladin, the Ranger, the Bard and the Druid I figure you can make do with what you have to survive. Paladins are pretty good healers in Pathfinder.

Hey there folks, can't wait for this to start! Now to dig around and figure out how to lay out the character.

I'm really surprised I made it into the game, considering all the well-written, highly detailed applications that were submitted! Thanks for letting me play in this game; I'm really looking forward to the game.
I must admit, though, I do wish another female character had been chosen. I think I'm going to feel weird playing the only woman in the group. ![]() |

If it makes you feel better, there's at least one pretty important female NPC that will feature quite significantly in some parts of the AP

All three dominant human cultures seem to be equally represented.
As for the gender ratio, there's always cursed items... ![]()

You really think that the human culture aspect didn't go unnoticed by me either?

Okay, I've decided to go with everyone having their own private character thread. If you can't see yours, or you can see other people's, please let me know!

Just a quick question about the riddance of Spellcraft (and good riddance I say), how will casting defensively and Combat Casting and all that jazz be handled? Just use the Knowledge appropriate to the brand of magic, or something else?
Its not really relevant to my character, but I'm just curious.

Concentration checks in the final version of Pathfinder RPG are basically a CL check, modified by your casting stat. eg. If you are a Wizard 1 with 18 int, you have a +5 on concentration checks.
This is something I like a lot. The Spellcraft check from Beta was really lame and really favoured Wizards. ![]()
