Announcing the Hall of Fame 2024!

Greetings, Adventurers of RPGCrossing!

As we prepare to embark on an exciting journey to honor the very best games within our community, let us take a moment to reflect on the timeless wisdom of Pericles, the esteemed Athenian statesman. Pericles understood the essence of democracy and the importance of voting in shaping our collective destiny.

Nominations for the Hall of Fame will open to all members of the site on the Ides of March (March 15th) and will continue for four weeks. Following that, we'll have two weeks of public feedback, with the entire community casting their votes. This year, we're introducing exciting new changes to the voting process: You'll be asked to rank at least three nominated games, allowing for a more nuanced and inclusive selection process. The top games will be chosen using an Instant Runoff system, similar to the one used in the Iron DM competition, ensuring that every vote counts and reflects the preferences of our diverse community. The judging panel will then use the HOF selection criteria rubric to identify the new inductees for the 2024 Hall of Fame.

To maintain the integrity of the selection process, we're seeking enthusiastic judges! If you're interested in being a Hall of Fame judge for the class of 2024, simply fill out the brief application form [here]. Please note, judges cannot be participating as GMs or players in the games that make it to the final round. The judges panel will be finalized by the close of nominations on April 15th. Plus, judging the Hall of Fame will count toward earning the prestigious Blue Dragon badge introduced last year.

Winning games will be immortalized in the Hall of Fame forum for all to admire. Additionally, Hall of Fame GMs will receive a shiny badge displayed proudly next to their name, available in a variety of colors. And let's not forget the ultimate reward bragging rights!

For Hall of Fame GMs, please note that your games will be treated as if you were Community Supporters. If you need any special folders, subfolders, or other accommodations, simply let us know, and we'll make it happen. It's our way of showing appreciation for your outstanding contributions to our community!

Thank you for your continued support, and let's get ready to celebrate excellence in gaming with RPGCrossing's Hall of Fame 2024!

Warm regards,
Your Hosts, Savoylen and Ildrahil
