Awwwww yeah.

Trying to decide if my 3-year-old is too young to go see it with me. On the one hand, he'll probably have nightmares. But on the other hand, he'll thank me someday. Plus, he's already really into Star Wars. We've been building the Lego sets and watching the movies. You know, re-enacting the Battle of Hoth with Lego, like cool people do. He's gonna be a stormtrooper for Halloween. Totally his idea, not mine. But I don't know if seeing Episode VII in the theatre might be a bit much for the little fella.

Sigh. Life is full of tough decisions, I guess.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about the new movies too. Almost enough to consider grabbing some of the new books that lead up to the films. Problem is I don't have the kind of time to try and learn an entirely new canon now that all my old books and stuff got disenfranchised.

I'm still expecting the worst but hoping for the best with these new movies. I'm putting off on getting involved with the new canon until I see the movie and decide if I think it's worth getting involved with.

Sorry for lagging behind, all. Been sick and tied up with other responsibilities. I probably should have had Kay tell a long, rambling story that comes to no sensible conclusion but pauses mid-way to spend 20 minutes trying to remember the name of someone who is ultimately inconsequential to the story itself... but I get enough of that in my day-to-day.

I'm excited for the new Star Wars films, but also debating whether or not to take my son (now 5 years old). I'm not worried about him following the plot, but I *am* worried about him dragging me away on multiple potty breaks and then loudly asking what he missed... of the person who also missed it. Yeah... I think maybe this isn't the year for his first in-theater film.
