Just an FYI, I'm using Combat manager here on my computer for my rolls, its SO much faster as in the case where the fires are growing.
Still can't believe I haven't been able to burn anyone else yet!

question - my DM here uses it in our weekly sessions, but he finds that sometimes it switches the order of initiative and sometimes npcs disappear altogether. I have it too, but haven't really tried it yet - just wondering if you have the same issue.

I actually typed in the entire party and Saved it as a party... so they're all there when I load it.
seems to be working ok. I want to get more confortable with it so I can use it in a local game here, tabletop, that might be coming up later in the summer. haven't had any issueswith it

Once you have an 'every other square' brigade arranged on the map, I'll give you a +5 to extinguish A SQUARE with a bucket of water... one per round.
So the math of that... you might need MORE runners with buckets, because EACH fire will grow ONE square every round. If you can only extinguish ONE square, you're two behind every round. Or have your better "CMB" characters continue fighting as they have been, and have the less 'CMB' abled characters run water, they'll still get the +5 to their CMB for each square they attack with water. A spell would have been nice... no one can create water?

You have a couple characters that have high cmbs. They can nearly take out a square a round. But the fires grow back a square a round. Your only luck would be if the fires grew together, then they'd be ONE fire instead of the current three.
Those with low CMBs would get the +5 on using a bucket of water. That's where your bucket brigade would come in. But somehow you have to move the buckets from the doorway (or a window?) to the fire to use them. Really too bad you don't have a caster that can create water... that would take out multiple squares of fire at once.

All good points. I think the issue is that the flying skulls are only just dead this round. We haven't had that many free rounds to fight it yet. We just need to keep on it.
Create water is a cleric or druid spell, and if they haven't prepared it (why would they, we're in a town?) they can't cast it.
