Done - I posted the rules in the Cast thread (hidden in the spoiler button). Note, I've changed a few things to reflect what we've gone over in this OOC chat. Namely, everyone gets at least a 20 point buy for ability scores. But, if you try to roll first, then revert to the point buy, you lose your starting hero points like Chrystrom did. If you simply opt for the 20 point buy without attempting to roll first, then you get to keep your hero points.

Also, I've updated the HP roll method. As usual, you get max hp for your first level. Plus, you get to reroll any 1s, 2s or 3s. You're probably going to need it...

All parts are poisonous, but especially the berries, the consumption of which has a sedative effect on cardiac muscle tissue and can cause cardiac arrest. - This one mostly because the picture of the berries looks kind of creepy and Ravenloftish.

Yeah, my intent is to have the effect be similar to garlic or holy symbols for a vamp. It can be overcome, but will take a Will save to do so.

Also, I like both items. So, I'm thinking both cedar and that terrifyingly ugly plant (white baneberry) will work against were-ferrets, with the latter being the more potent of the two.

Ok roger, Cedar wood and White Baneberry for the Chemical Bane and I like using them like garlic or a holy symbol. Adds a fun new element.

EDIT: Ok topic of discussion for us players: DM says we all don't need to know each other, but he'd perfer if two of us at least did. Any ideas on which two of us should already have some history together?

Depends on a number of things. Do you happen to have the Stronghold Builders Guidebook? If so, feel free to use it to put your mansion together (and we can sort out a location later).

If not, I can take a stab at it. I'll just need to get some more info from you, so we'll probably need to take it to PM.

As a ballpark figure, you're probably looking at a minimum of 10k gold. And that's if you want to focus almost entirely on the lab and let everything else fall to the wayside.

A quick point of clarification -

If you're rerolling your hit points, you can continue to reroll until you get something better than a 1, 2 or 3. In other words, if you roll a 2, then you reroll and get a 3, reroll again until it's 4+

So I think what Ehlana and I are thinking, is that her character Kaia met up with my character Nik a little while ago in Barovia, parted ways, then met up again shortly before they ended up in the starting region.
