EditEdit: If we made a Wall of Ice between us and the pool, that'd be neat. Then we don't even have to worry about them following us.

The ice area wouldn't include them, and it's a DC 25 Reflex save to disrupt the spell as it forms in front of them. Still, I do agree with you about just leaving. Chioni has already made it clear she'd like to get out of here. She won't abandon the group on her own accord, though, so let's see what everyone else does.

Muggins- I will allow you to make changes regarding meta-bullet feats.

The ice floor is a creative and ambitious idea. But retreating isn't a bad option either.

Also, using Bahamut's Virtue at this juncture is a very good move. I was surprised.

If you guys wanna flee as well I don't mind, but that would mean going back to the chain room to pull another down again.
We're beating these guys fairly easily, and they haven't hit us yet with anything, so really theres no problem just destroying them outright.
We'll go with the team vote though.
I'm up for finishing this battle.

The chain room is gone, to my knowledge. We are back on the material plane, in a catacombs. There was another staircase to check out, and we can try going the way we came in which is sure to lead somewhere different now.

We also don't know if we're going the right way in the first place. Kenneth would not be opposed to a tactical withdraw, battles expend resources, no need to fight them carelessly. On the same hand, it's hard to say how many minions these devourers really have, leaving them alive might leave complications.

It all depends on how the creatures respond. If they attack or send out more minions to attack us while they go back to hiding then I saw we slaughter them to save ourselves future bother.

If they back off though then the worst they can do is send trogs after us and we can slay them pretty much instantly. If they send anything worse we know where to find them.

FYI

This work week's gonna suck for me. I probably won't be able to post until Friday night. Chioni will strongly urge the others to retreat. If we don't, she'll try to cast Wall of Ice as I described.

I will post later today! I do overnights Monday and Tuesday, and it's just a little difficult to post around all that.

I wouldn't be opposed to fleeing, but we are whipping them quite easily. And if we can kill them, it will take the load off my mind about running into any brain-eaten thralls I can turn into a water element, so their turf would be my turf, too! Or a crocodile...or shark...Titus on the other hand has become next to useless since most kitties don't like swimming.
