Returned from spending a three day weekend with my Dad, who is visiting from the other side of the country for my younger brother's graduation from seminary, will get caught up over the next day or two.

Alright, well, here we go.

I have been tempted by Pendragon into this numbers game. I'll be getting a character made up as soon as I can get myself up to speed with what everyone else is running and how this whole deal works, as well as what fits into the hole left. Looking at the Characters thread, I'm probably gonna have to clear a board and write up a character map just to parse all this out. Guess I should get started, even though it's 3 in the morning. Oh look, a new obsession.

Hope that helps you with thinking up what you want to make. There's a pretty big gap in land trade, cavalry, and heavy infantry now, but not something that direly needs filled. Just hope it helps give ideas.

I shall indeed. Are both districts 8 and 2 open, or is 2 a frozen wasteland of an island, uninhabitable?

I think 2 is tribal land that hasn't really been integrated into the kingdom.

Pretty sure 2 is kind of like... just an awful place that's not worth the cost of bringing it into the kingdom. I kind of picture it being similar to Svalbard chilling up there NE of Greenland/NW of Norway.

Statesman, do you want me to change the name of the Gilded Tome to the Purple District?

Beez, your questions in PM - Either class is acceptable, or both of them. You can post your character in the character thread. If you want to just toss up some ideas until one sticks that is fine also, feel free to use your character post as needed.

I actually like the name The Gilded Tome better than my old idea, especially since my original idea included a mountain, and the Gilded Tome doesn't have any mountains. I adapted.

Just now reading through our new players stuff, and noticed something.

@statesman88: City walls are 5,000gp per side, or 20k to surround the city with standard(10ft high, 10ft wide, stone) walls. Increasing height or width by 5ft is half the cost, 2,500gp per side.

Also, farms cost 10k apiece but also count somewhat as housing, roughly 50 people for a regular farm, or 70 people for something more along the lines of an estate.

Well I spent a part of last night updating my write up, Pen, when you get a chance in the next day or so, could you update personal income amounts in my private thread?

Cut a good portion of my military upkeep by trimming the number of PC classes, considering adding a militia and a initiate healer/minor battlemage unit with the freed funds.

I talked to fox, and bounced a few ideas around and I wanted to get everyone's opinion on which direction to take.

1.) A reboot of the story, short one district. The royal district would take it over.

2.) Take your characters and put them on a different island, as the representatives of their respective districts. In this scenario you would be hands off of your operations back home and focused on building the island up. You would be trying to grab as much land as possible and develop it as it would be an extension of your district from the mainland (Tylanis wouldn't be an island in this scenario). This would follow more closely to the traditional kingmaker campaign as described in the ultimate campaign book, but with the added feature of being very political and still having the little toad for a king. I would still have you hold "the meeting" for progress reports.

If you want to air out some ideas I would love to hear them. I am a very flexable GM, and as long as there is a story to tell I would love to continue role playing with each and everyone of you.

I would have wanted to return to the game. but my apologize. I thought I had mentioned that I changed my preferences to email me if I received a PM. Seems I've missed the boat over the month of May. I don't check RPGcrossing often since I'm not currently involved in any games.

I'll read over what I've missed out on if I haven't missed the boat entirely...

Heaving read over everything it seems you have two new players to replace Darth and I. I don't blame you and it is unfortunate that things died off the first time around. Best of luck with the game. I know this will be a great one. Sad to no longer be a part of it.

Edit: If you only have one player to replace one of us I would jump for joy if you'd take me back...

Edit2: Never mind, looks like states is taking over Darths quarter while Beez is taking over my old one? Back to crying in a corner.
