Plot Summary System; D & D 3.5   Level; 4 (Multi-Class is OK; Only Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide pg 36, Monster Manual I, and Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting) # of Players; 5-7 Attributes; Page 20 DMG Point Buy system (22 points, then proceed with the next 3 lvls Max HP/each level) DOH!! Deadline for applications is 23 August. Campaign; The Forgotten Realms Remember diplomacy when choosing your race. You will be dealing with Monster races, Dwarves, Elves, and Human governments all of whom have different customs, values, strategies, and prejudices.   Player Character Race Class     Vesper Melindren Merrymar Strongheart Halfling Druid 2/Wizard 2     Clawsome Thurg Greatfang Gnoll Ranger 3     Triedtherest Granitte Stonefire Hill Dwarf Cleric 3     Scenario; Your local leaders brought you in to discuss a major problem developing. First they were concerned when tens of thousands of Orcs, Half Orcs, Gnolls, and Goblins were approaching your borders. Then the leaders were confused and curious when that horde of vagabonds passed them by without even a stone being tossed. The farmers became angry because the high number of pedestrians trampling on their fields just plowed a muddy mess that used to be their fields. Now that the lords are no longer concerned for the safety of the cities, they want you and your faithful band of Brujah to investigate. They can't afford the creation of a new horde and no civilized race will allow those roughnecks to start their own city, and the final option is some intelligent being controlling these beasts of burden.   Character Name: Gender/Race: (All Players Handbook races, Monster Manual I LA +2 or lower, and all races in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Book pages 9-21) Class: (See Above) NOTE; Prestige classes may be considered later as the story progresses and I get a good idea regarding how people play. Appearance: Personality; Can you commit to 3 posts a week?

If I allow one exception, the next thing I know there will be five more people wanting exceptions, and that is when things get crazy.

Does that mean Only PHB and DMG for all feats, skills, PRC etc etc or open more up later? Also, FR online has all kinds of classes listed including psionic are those included. ie Warlock, Warmage, Swashbuckler

Looking for the basic classes, basic races and some of the monster races (not getting crazy). I can handle the races in the Forgotten Realms Campaign book as well. Outside of those three, I prefer not going there because some people tend to get crazy with those options.

You should be able to. OP said you could pick one of the Races from the FR Campaign Setting Book, which Sun Elf is, unless Noble Sun Elf is something different from that.

Though I don't have a problem with the NPC class (Noble), it isn't found in the FR campaign setting.

It is called the Aristocrat found in the Dungeon Masters Guide on page 36. He also ignored the section which discussed being able to 'CREATE A CLASS'. So, why would I allow someone to create a class from the DMG, but not from sources outside of those four books (DMG, PHB, MM I, and FRC)? Because the books after the core books focused on number crunching over powered and abusive samples.

At least the DMG keeps things balanced.

I decided to start with the basic books in order to learn who my players are BEFORE opening options for prestige classes.

Ah, the Noble Class! I thought he was talking about a Template or Subrace.

I'm looking at Odin, for my Cleric's God, with the Magic and Travel Domains.

I was looking at the Militia Feat, but it would be doubly Illegal as it's in the Players Guide to Faerun, not the Campaign Setting Guide, and also (bizarrely) Dwarves are not one of the listed Races that can take it!

Sorry to hear the posting rate is too high. I've run games in the past on other sites and usually the groups wanted to keep going at the higher pace. That is the one line that isn't completely set in stone because we will need to play it by ear on how the group is able to cope with higher or lower standard of posting.

Application Character Name: Granitte Stonefire Gender/Race: Male Hiĺl Dwarf Class: Cleric of Odin (Magic & Travel Domains) Appearance: He's about 4 feet, 9 inches tall, and almost 3 feet wide in his armour, somewhat resembling a very small wall. His face is scarred, and he is even missing his left eye, from his many battles, and his well made Mace is chipped from his many victories. Personality: Has the stereotypically Dwarven gruff-attitude, which tends to soften somewhat when he gets to know them better, which could mean after 30 or 40 years of their acquaintance, or them spilling blood together on the battlefield. He is curiously tolerant of "Greenskins" and Arcane Spellcasters for a Dwarf, seemingly storing up his ire for Giants and their kin. Can you commit to 3 posts a week? Yes, I have been in Campaigns with Daily Posting Rates, so 3/week should be no issue. Ability Scores: STR: 12 DEX: 12 CON: 14 INT: 10 WIS: 15 (16 at 4th Lvl) CHA: 6
