DMG and PHB have classes. I will determine prestige classes after we've started and i have an idea of who everyone is. I don't want crazy over powered concepts that would be difficult to work with on party/game balance.

Witch class is in the DMG and not a prestige class. And of course, GM decides everything.

Finally got the Thread of Power. It had been trapped in the mists of Oblivion.

I see that the applications were to have closed on August 24th, but haven't seen anything saying they had actually closed. Any chance they're still open?

I believe the DM would accept more, but that is up to him. What happened to the guy that wanted to be a Barbarian? We have Cleric, Witch and Druid/Magic User so far.

Do you need a non-spellcaster? Rogue? Monk?

Ranger? He can have a coconut crab as an animal companion. Or maybe not.

We have plenty of healing power and little or no Smack power.

I was thinking of putting together a Ghostwise Halfling Rogue, thinking an outsider to both sides may be helpful.

Yeah I'm happy to put together a character, as it looks like yall only have two/three with a desired party size of 5-7. But first I would want to know if Damionovich does want additional applications.

Or are you saying that you'll be picking prestige classes for players based on their personality/history?

The reason I want to start with base classes is so player/dm can learn who each other are a how we play. I don't like people that are ultra-power gamers or don't work with the party. I tend to see a lot of crazy ideas with unlimited power in games and I'd prefer keeping game balance (I know, that is my job; that is why I made the restriction).

Once we are familiar with each other and trust that nobody is going to go all crazy with the half titan/half demon/half dragon with outsider cousins that gave you this power class........then we can look at prestige classes. I'd say look at what the prerequisites are for the prestige class you'd like to have and build your character so they'll qualify when the time comes.

I'm not a hard nosed unreasonable Dm. I'll have leeway as we become comfortable with each other.
