Might prestige classes be a viable option, should these ever become more than a single module?

Lastly, the elephant in the room page is no longer available so.. do you have another source to look at?

I had such a terrible experience with you and Pianoman in the previous iteration. It would be a tragedy to see some number of those people in a game thread again. This is definitely not sarcasm in any way, shape, or form. Nope. I'm never sarcastic.

(For the official record, sarcasm is my mother tongue. English is a learned second language.)

Character Application...wait? Is it still considered a Character application without writing anything for your Character? .....I got it! It's a character application, not a Character application. Whew, I'm glad I got that figured out. It would just suck to have my character application tagged with the wrong header :D
  • Player Name: Silk, as in the one type of clothing I have never owned...I don't know why really.

  • Relative PbP Experience: I joined back in 2005 but I have only been playing pbp for a total of 5? years now. I stayed on the site for about 2 years and then I had to stop for 11 years due to working 11-15 hours a days, every day for about 8 months out of the year. I got a lateral promotion about 3-4 years ago to a desk job that left me with a lot of time on my hands and access to the internet, so I came back.

  • Favorite Pathfinder Class: Honestly, I am pretty new to Pathfinder and have only been in four games with the system. My first character was a 1st level Human Magus that was an overweight and overweighted cook and he never got over 100exp before the game ended abruptly. My second and third characters were in games so heavily modified that they might as well not have been considered pathfinder the second character way more than the 3rdgames. My second character was a it was a Fallout-inspired game and those two were the races I chose. She was a half-breed mutt Child of Atom/Raider Vitalist 6 / Psionic Fighter 1 / Conscript 1 / Telekinetic Weaponmaster 0 that wielded a supersledge. My third character is a Human Barbarian(primal hunter) 9 who uses a Strength bow that he has to rage to get the most out of. He is also the 1st character that I used an archetype class with. My last and most recent pathfinder character is a Half-orc Ninja 2/Magus(Mindblade-Spellblade) 5 two-weapon fighter who favors battleaxe's.

So long post made short, I guess Magus is my favorite Pathfinder class so far.

  • Favorite Class Archetype: As you can probably tell from above, I don't have much experience with archetypes until recently. But I am partial to the Magus Mindblade. Always having a weapon at hand even when naked is neet

  • Your Favorite Aspect of TTRPGing: I'm not up on all the anagrams and had to google what TTRPGing stands for

I am partial to crit/fumbles. From rolling a crit with a T-rex and swallowing a player whole in the Isle of Dread module I was DMing. To fumbling with a katana my bard was wielding so badly that I ended up slicing off her left ear and quite a bit of flesh around the ear too, as well as dropping her to negative hit points. The unexpected and randomness of crit's and fumbles is what spices up a game in my opinion. Oh, good role-playing and GM's don't hurt any either

  • Tropes:
    • Flawed Hero's: Whether that is mentally or physically I'm partial to flawed hero's. The struggles of overcoming one's own defects just appeal's to me.

    • The Nobody: I don't play them often because I'm a nobody in real life but it's fun to play now and then. There is one Nobody character I would like to remake just because the concept is neet and I stole it from a cartoon. Granny G(old age penalties apply's) gets evicted from her lifelong home due to a debt of her husbands. Instead of wailing in grief she lets the pig, cow, and chickens out into the wild and burns down her house. Stumbling away from the only life she knew in her husband's brigandine armor(3.5 D&D), Granny G starts her life as a 1st level Warrior(not Fighter) in her early 50's.
      • Unfortunately, the DM's girlfriend at the time was jealous he was spending more time building the game than with her and burned all his notes. Having a really bad memory he never got to start the game up. But one day Granny G will stumble into a game near you

    • The Glitch: I started playing this trope when I began playing Shadowrun and no matter how few dice I rolled in that game, I could never roll a Shadowrun's version of a fumble. They can never do anything simply in that game system glitch or critical glitch so I started making characters that improved my odds on glitching. I'm in 3 Shadowrun games and 2 of them have increased chances to glitch/fumble. As of right now, I have had only 1 glitch happen. It was funny when that stun grenade just bounced around the Yakuza's feet and failed to detonate. ...I Want More Dangit!

  • One Awesome Moment: When it takes you four rounds to stop puking because you failed your Con check, this is what happens. And here, that one moment you try to be cleaver and the dice just will not go your way and, in fact, goes the other way.

  • House Rules: I read them a couple of days ago when I started contemplating applying for your game. .....I don't remember what I read but I'll read them again if I get accepted and hope it sticks in the void between my ears. ~ READ and AGREAD!

  • Sample Posts: Average posts? ...I got plenty of those.
    1. An Introduction post
    2. A thought before combat
    3. A run followed by a chat with her fixer
I'll just stop there. Average is average after all.

  • Declaration: I, [Silk], being of sound body and mind capable of working a keyboard or other form of text input device, do hereby indicate my sincere intention to make myself available to post a couple times per week for at least a few months. If I have planned events that will cause absences, I will do my best to communicate them in advance. I will not wait until I have a Post of the Month candidate in my head before composing, but will make average-quality posts if they are called for. I will not open spoilerbuttons with listed Difficulty Classes without first publicly rolling an appropriate check. Finally, I will make an effort to consider giving RPXP to exemplary posts in order to encourage my fellow players.

  • Lines and Veils:

On a side note, I have only a vague notion of Pathfinder lore thanks to the one Starfinder game I'm in. I have been planing on googling Pathfinder lore/timeline for a while now but as ALL of my Pathfinder games are not in the Pathfinder world I've just put it off. If I get invited into your game/or bored enough I'll look it up.

Also, even with my experience with Pathfinder the sheer amount of options(without the 3rd party add-ons) is mind-numbingly staggering and as CatCanCook can attest as I have been in two of his games, I'll ask/assume stupid questions/stuff and generally need to be corrected about things.

Edit: I got off my lazy butt and refreshed myself on your house rules again. I agree and understand them.

Player Application: ghostwalking
Player Name: ghostwalking. That's been one of my online monikers for a rather long time.

Relative PbP Experience: Less than a year. One solo game, and one campaign that's still on its first adventure.

Favorite Pathfinder Class: I'm new to Pathfinder, but in general I don't have a favorite class.

Favorite Class Archetype: Being new to Pathfinder, this would be an unknown.

Your Favorite Aspect of TTRPGing: Developing the character and adventuring is where the most fun is. It just happens to be tucked away inside various problems that need solving, not infrequently with violence.

Tropes: I've had to think about it a bit and it's probably "The Professional". The character is doing exactly what they apprenticed to do. Not always, but quite frequently.

One Awesome Moment:
August Venturi was the last creature standing. Goblin blood covered his body and formed deep pools at his feet. They had tried to overwhelm the party in a narrow underground hallway, and might have succeeded were it not for a direly needed critical strike toward the end of the fight. Goblin bodies choked the passage.

He quickly assessed the situation. The rest of the party had fallen during the fight, and some were near death. August, himself, would be unconcious from bleeding in just a few rounds. It would spell their demise in this forsaken hole. There was only one path to survival for any of them. He took his only healing draught from his pack. Cradling the healer's head in one hand, August poured it carefully past the dwarf's trembling lips. This was the only way.

He awoke some hours later in pain but under glorious sunlight, glad to see the pale but still living faces of his comrades making breakfast. Praise Victoria for allowing him to fight another day.

House Rules: I have read and understand your house rules.

Sample Posts: Here, here, and here. They're all from my one PbP non-solo adventure. I do hope to get better at it.

Declaration: I, ghostwalking, being of sound body and mind capable of working a keyboard or other form of text input device, do hereby indicate my sincere intention to make myself available to post a couple times per week for at least a few months. You won't have to worry too much about the timeline for this, as it's not tied to any particular events. I'll be assigning an arbitrary Golarion-based date to the start of the story, but that's mostly just for my bookkeeping purposes. This module (and most) are pretty well stuffed with lore, and good Knowledge checks can help. Player knowledge is hardly necessary, although background research for religion-centric characters will be appreciated. If there's one thing Paizo did well with their setting, it's the religion stuff.

Stupid questions will be welcome well past selections. I'm the kind of GM who would much rather field a dozen questions and leave the player comfortable with what they're crafting than leave someone guessing (as long as the information is appropriate).

It's great to see a few more names thrown in the hat. I'll be updating the applicant table in the morning. I'm floored by this response.

Player Name: HumbleAthena

Relative PbP Experience: Joined this site in Oct 2007. Been doing RP for a time before that on other sites, but not long, so that works well enough as a start date.

Favorite Pathfinder Class: Bard. I like being a Jack of all Trades who can fill in as a secondary for most roles.

Favorite Class Archetype: Archers, tricksters, oracles, illusionists and enchantresses. Oh, mechanical Archtypes? I don't really know them well, but I've been intrigued to try a Feyspeaker Druid for a while.

Your Favorite Aspect of TTRPGing: I enjoy interacting with NPCs in non-combat situations, and being able to use the environment for out-of-the-box problem solving.

Tropes: Well, I'm a sucker for a reluctant/repentant/misunderstood monster. Or a wise-woman. Sometimes action girls with a touch of the manic pixie dream. As a neuroatypical, social functioning has always been a bit of a puzzle. So playing characters who have a reason to be 'off' from the norm eases some of the anxiety of trying to fit in.

One Awesome Moment: One time in a TT game, I was the CN party bard, with the rest of the party supposedly some flavor of 'good'. Except, we'd picked up a cursed item that was giving everyone dreams and making them paranoid. Fortunately for me(?) my character was an elf who was raised among humans so my character didn't get triggered by dreams of drow the way she was expected to(?) and kept a more open mind. Meanwhile, the artificer's business (in FR, yeah, friend of the DM's who was a born salesman) had attracted the attention of an NPC adventuring party consisting of a paladin with a unicorn mount, an elven ranger, and a dwarf. After seeing the elf poking around our base for a while, the party, (mostly the artificer and the druid) kidnapped the elf to try to get him to talk. He wouldn't. We were pretty much at a stalemate. I could see we were going nowhere, so I, the bard, had to convince my own party to let me 'help' the elf escape and earn his trust, which they were very unwilling to do, at first. Eventually, after a lot of fast talking, I got them to agree. Then I approached the prisoner under the guise of elf solidarity.

When we 'escaped', I found out about the rest of the NPC party, convinced them that my party wasn't evil, but that I suspected were being affected by a cursed item, and managed to get them to forgive my party for the kidnapping (and other things that had attracted their attention in the first place), and help us destroy the cursed artifact. I'll never forget single-handedly turning a s***-show into a success by not only successfully bard-ing at the NPCs, but my own party as well. And I'll probably never be able to top it.

House Rules: I have, and I believe I do.

Because individual people are egocentric monsters. Their own desires for amusement trump reason.

To be fair, my old Jack Russell Terrier mix looked adorable in her USC rain jacket.

I'll be honest.

This is the first time I've applied to a game where I had to talk about myself instead of making a character application.

Frankly, it's weirding me out a little bit because I feel I can make a well-made and interesting character but I don't rate myself as high as my crapiest character. <shrug> It's just a new experience is all

To be fair, your old Jack Russell Terrier mix in a Charger's jersey could have probably coached them into the playoffs this year.
