1. In this case, the sleep spell will get both assassins.
2. Initiative and Character order. A Round is 6 seconds.RAW, each character acts in initiative order. So, a spell caster can cast a spell, and a character acting later in the initiative can take a full turn (6 seconds) to act. In this case, I will have Mr. Frinton ready the rope but start tying it next turn.
3. Generally, I try to process a turn in initiative order, and I'll adjust a character's action if the situation has changed by the time I get to the character, an important point is that NPCs are usually acting in the middle of the turn. So a PC's turn is normally the bottom (PC with lower initiative than NPCs) of Turn N, and the top of Turn N+1 (PCs with higher initiative than NPCs).

In this situation, Gerbo's a little faster than Kalliope (10 vs. 7 initiative). So, we can say his Mind Sliver went off first, and the assassin failed, allowing two of them to be slept.

I just remember now that we also have Jasper, the automated backpack. Did we clarify if he also is able to perform tasks like, for example, tying the rogues, as he was also modelled on the Unseen Servant spell?

Sorry, yes. Tying up the bad guys is within both Jasper’s and Mr. Frinton’s abilities. They will so next turn.

We've got a new player, Sturm Brightblade, joining us and bringing a Druid.

I apologize for the delay in posting. I know what needs to be done; I just haven't found the energy to roll the dice and process the turn. I should have an update for everyone on Friday. Given that the battle has shifted in the PCs favor, I'll likely be wrapping the adventure.

TL;DR: Due to IRL issues, my posting rate has dropped to 1/week for the foreseeable future.

A quick check-in. The adventure is effectively over. There's an optional final post of the characters reflecting on the end of the episode.

Treasure is 1)A token that will convert one mundane musical instrument into an instrument of illusion and 2) 15 gold. Obviously, the treasure will not split evenly; I'll leave it up to the three players to figure out how they want to handle this situation.

"While you are playing this musical instrument, you can create harmless, illusory visual effects within a 5-foot-radius sphere centered on the instrument. If you are a bard, the radius increases to 15 feet. Sample visual effects include luminous musical notes, a spectral dancer, butterflies, and gently falling snow. The magical effects have neither substance nor sound, and they are obviously illusory. The effects end when you stop playing."

Kali gets to level up. You’ll post in the Scarlet legion thread what level she’s taking and specifics - eg spells selected. Note Kali also gets a long rest.

I was waiting to here from a few more players, but we can go as soon as Kali levels up.

GMs don’t dictate treasure split. Also, there is a magic shop Where items can be sold or pawned.

In this situation, I would suggest that Kali owe the players the balance. So 25 GP (Instrument o Illusion) + 15 Gold = 40 gold. Each share is ~13 gold (rounding error). So, Kali gets the Instrument of Illusion (25 gold) and owes Gerbo and Snappy each 6 gold. Gerbo and Snappy each get 7.5 gold.
