Thank you @pr, noted on the Hexblade's Curse! It's been a while since I've played a Hexblade.

Although I narrated Teema to proceed through the door, I can easily add some more narration to her conversation with the party if purplerook wants us to do another spin before opening the next room.

I would say the next round of posts are optional and can take place in the On Your Shield.Characters may want to recover (Short Rest) from and or reflect on the past adventure. Characters can make purchases with their newly acquired gold. Finally, The Door provided a hint of what may lay ahead. Characters are free to speculate and or plan on what may lie beyond the next door.

Note posts and action are optional. I’ll give people a few days to post before moving to the next Door/Adventure.

Curious if I could find some healing in the downtime - the pawn shop was a little lacking in the health section.

All mundane items from the PHB can be bought for their common gold value, including healing potions. Otherwise, you can take 1 of the 2 short rests that your character has before his next level up and roll a hit die to recover some HP. Lastly, there's still that healing potion that only Percy and Galen know about and haven't mentioned yet.

I'll roll for it when we get started on the next door

Psuedenim, I strongly recommend taking a short rest and using your hit die to recover HP. Save that Healing Potion for in combat problems.

Other, please take a short rest as necessary and or make any purchases with newfound gold.

The next Door will be primarily a social/ability check adventure.

In regards to Bardic Inspiration recovery on a SR, would this mean that I can go haywire and spend all of Teema's Bardic Inspiration charges in this room and then recover them before the next?

Yes, Teema can spend all her Bardic Inspiration in this room. I’m encouraging her to do so. I want to give the group a feel for the usefulness of Bardic Inspiration in non-combat situations.

A couple things. First, low Cha PCs can provide help. Second, it is not just about Persuasion/Cha There is Intelligence (Investigation, History), Wisdom (Perception, Insight). Second, you can sometimes use a different Attribute - e.g., Dex for Dancing instead of Cha for Performance.

More generally, your character may e facing a situation that is out of their comfort zone. You can RP accordingly.

In a similar line to what purplerook wrote: Roleplay should never be rollplay. If you stop letting your character experience the world and only play by the math that's hiding behind your character sheet, you'll probably end up missing out on those parts of the game that make TTRPGs the interactive, superior storytelling medium that it is. Leaning into your character's strengths and weaknesses is one thing, but my mind will always wonder first about how my character is affected by their surroundings and what their methods and motivations are to lead them down the path of adventuring. If your character acts like they don't know that their fate is ruled by dice, that's probably the best way to get a living and breathing story out of them.

Did the party properly explain to Teema about The Door? She started on a lack of information and while she is definitely going to fly through the door on the platform after changing clothes, it would probably be pretty helpful to get her as clued in on what we are doing as possible.

Yes but the characters told her about the room with a chasm in the middle and she saw the ocean with the Shark. I suspect she is not going to be prepared for the Neverending Ball.
