"Ow-wie!" exclaims Prrup-tik when hit by the spike. "Zowie!" he continues when he eyes the second attacker. But he made Concentrartion savekeeps his focus on the first. Astride Cujo, he trots closer to the beast attacking Suluruk. "Shoot," he says to himself as he releases another bolt, but this time it's wide. "Shoot!" he curses, and then scuttles for cover before the next barrage comes.

The flying beast attacked Suluruk, the cleric of Borean was surprised by the 6 damagefirst bite . However, Suluruk instinctively lashed out at the flying creature with a wrath of the storm - DC14 Dex save for 1/2 damageblast of lightning
Dice Wrath of Storm:

(10). The chainmail-clad cleric parried the creatures two claws.

The orc roared in frustration at the creature that hovered just outside of melee range and flung his spear at the flying creature

"Coward!" The Cleric of Boran taunted the creature. "If you want your treasure, come down here and fight for it."

Then Suluruk summoned a spiritual spear above the creature that jabbed downward

The ferocity of the creature's momentarily caught her off guard, and the manner of their attack surprised her too. Those spikes looked like they could hurt, but hopefully she would be able to avoid the worst of her from her vantage of cover. And with the creatures flying, her best bet was to stick to her trusty longbow. For a moment her mind travelled back in time to the day in the forest where she'd found the weapon. When Aludra was still alive. A moment for another time.

She stood up to her full height and pulled the string of her bow to her face, the arrow already in place. Let's see if we can make these creatures think twice! She

unleashed the arrow at the closest manticore, hoping for a strike, but those beating wings made it hard even for one of her skill. "There is no treasure here. This ship does not belong to you. If there is something that you rightfully claim, speak of it now. We do not wish to fight you! She didn't really know if these creatures understood language, but they could clearly speak. If this was a male and female pair, was the treasure their offspring?

Khat was in her element, playing hunt and seek with a larger stronger foe. The Swiftstride Shifter thought, "Only this time, I have a pride, fellow adventurers to fight along with me." Khat watched the injured manticore tangle with the chainmail-clad Cleric, "A bit more of a mouthful than you expected, eh."

Khat launched a crossbow bolt from her hiding place

In the ruins of the Magmell IslandValerius casts web and the thick strings entangle the manticore which tries to keep on flying
Dice Fly check with DEX:
d20+4sh13 (8)+4 Total = 12
(12), but fails and drops to the ground. There, the web starts to not fixed to solid points, because the manticore was flyingdissolve.

Wounded and surprised, Prrup-tik shots two poorly aimed bolts and both miss.

Suluruk counters the attack with a spell
Dice DEX save:

(15), but the beast is able to dodge it more or less. His spear also misses, but a holy bolt from the sky hits the manticore right into its back.

Kazza shouts something into the direction of the manticore, but the beast is too distracted to listen. But even it did, is it in the mood to discuss or to mangle?

Now, Khat shots a very well aimed, nearly deadly shot at the will be killed by the next attack with more than 5 HP damagefirst manticore which tumbles in the air.

The first manticore screams in pain and anger, but it is far too enraged to retreat. Again, it charge the next, the biggest foe - the spider and

As the creature attacked them rather than sensibly running Suluruk thought, "Foolish creature" before stabbing it with his spiritual spear

Khat burst from cover and ran towards her companions as she thought, "There is a time for stealth and a time for speed and violence of action." As Khat darted forward, her left arm went through the crossbow sling, putting the weapon on her shoulder.

The unarmed Swiftstride Shifter smiled grimly as she watched the first Manticore fall under the attacks of her companions. Khat was already focused on the second manticore. A pair of shimmering blades appeared in her hands as she tossed both of them towards the second creature.

"Not thisth time!" responds Prrup-tik as the spike misses by a few feet. "And, hey! - what thief?!" With no answer coming, the grung raises his crossbow again, and finds his mark with his poisoned bolt.

The manticores claw #1 and spike attackhit him about half as often as they swung at him, which was still 20 damagemore than he cared for. It shouldn't be too surprising that he was a little squishier as a spider, but he wanted something to give him both cheap healing and a capacity for ranged attack. Not having a proper anchor for the manticore wasn't helping him in keeping the thing down, so he decided to just drop his form and attack. The shift back to his own shape was a little rough, nat 1and he ended up firing a ray of frost into the open air.

The first of the creatures fell, with only the smaller one remaining. In some way Kazza almost felt sorry for the creatures simply because they were acting on instinct more than anything else. A mating pair, by the look of things, of any species, particularly a rare monstrous species, was never a good thing to kill. Not that she imagined these creatures would ever be extinct. For now, though, she needed to fight. Her survival and that of her allies relies on killing the last of the beast. Hopefully she could start to be more effectual with her bow.

Drawing back the string, she aimed at the smaller of the two creatures, trying to take her time with the short before

shooting the arrow in the direction of the last enemy. She crouched down back into her position of cover, using it to full advantage against the massive spikes that the creatures unleashed. None of her allies seemed too hurt at the moment, so her healing capabilities were not yet required.

In the ruins of the Magmell IslandSuluruk sends his spiritual spear right through broad chest of the first manticore. The beast rasps helplessly and flaps weakly with its wings before it crashes head first, butt upwards into the ground, shaping a very dump looking pile of flesh, fur and wings.
Then, the sky-cleric sends his next spell to the second manticore
Dice * WIS save:
d20+1sh14 (2)+1 Total = 3
(3).

Khat tosses her soul knives at the second manticore and both blades hit the beast, leaving two deep cuts before returning to their feline owner again.

Valerius turns back from a large spider into a norm... in his usual form. But the shaping and re-shaping was confusing for him and so his attack missed.

Prrup-tik shots a poisoned bolt at the manticore which hits
Dice CON vs. poison:
d20+3sh12 (12)+3 Total = 15
(15) the beast in the side.

Kazza is the last to shot at the second manticore, then, the beast turns its attention to Suluruk.

Again, Suluruk was engulfed in a flailing cloud of claws and jaws. However, Borean had granted the chain-clad cleric the strength and stamina to stand in the heart of battle. He thought, "Better me than my less armored companions." One of the claws raked the half-orc. However, it resulted in only a thin trickle of blood, and a grunt from Suluruk. This time the Cleric did not even bother to call upon the Wrath of the storm.

Instead, Suluruk unleashed divine attacks. Suluruk's spirit weapon stabbed at the Manticore,

Khat cursed the creature's reach, which allowed it to be involved in the melee, without giving her an opening to use her hidden attacks. At the same time, Khat was happy to see Suluruk take the brunt of the creature's attacks. The Shift thought, "In the future, I need to prefer hiding over a second attack. Still, the creature went after Suluruk and what was a minor injury to the heavily armored Cleric, could easily shred me."

The Swiftstride shifter was focused on putting down the Manticore before it could do more injury to her companions. With a thought, Khat summoned a pair of shimmering blades in her hands and tossed them at the flying beast.

HD 1/3d8 | Spell Slots: (1) 4/4, (2) 2/2 | Starting at 2nd level, you can use your action to magically assume the shape of a beast that you have seen before. You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses when you finish a short or long rest. Your druid level determines the beasts you can transform into, as shown in the Beast Shapes table. At 2nd level, for example, you can transform into any beast that has a challenge rating of 1/4 or lower that doesn’t have a flying or swimming speed.

When you choose the circle of the moon at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use Wild Shape on your turn as a bonus action, rather than as an action. Additionally, while you are transformed by Wild Shape, you can use a bonus action to expend one spell slot to regain 1d8 hit points per level of the spell slot expended.
