Notes
Added Cold Weather Clothes to Khat's sheet. I deducted the gold but forgot to add it to the character sheet.

Note that Khat is using her psi-based knack on the Perception roll. She will likely be using it for any serious ability check. The die is only expended if it turns a failure into a success.

Khat - Rouge Female Shifter (Swiftstride) | Darkvison: 60ft, PP 13, PI 11 | Status: normal | Initiative: +5
Khat climbed to the upper crow's nest with Kazza and Prrup-tik. Khat told the two, "The lower crow's nest is not for me. I fight better from ambush or when another distracts the foe."

Khat was used to taking the high ground - building in Sharn and, more recently, trees in the West Marches. However, the upper crow's nest was a view unlike any other. It was higher than the Rouge had ever been. It was also colder than it had ever been. Khat shivered and thanked her deity that she had decided to buy a set of the gear that Able Aeronaut Featherstar had been wearing.

Khat was distracted by the cold weather and the new sights, but her psi-sense tickled her that Base Perception w/disadvantage 7 + psi die 4 = 11something might be wrong.

When he first takes his very lofty new position, Prrup-tik looks around excitedly, almost literally hopping as he bounces lightly on the balls of his big feet. Before long, though, the watch becomes a tiring grind, threatening to exhaust his prodigious stores of enthusiasm. He continues the conversation – or monologue, as is often the case in his interactions – for several minutes regardless, but eventually the relentless cold, dry wind forces him to shutter his mouth. He silently 14 Perc after disadwatches the skies, fighting to remain alert.

He wasn't fully sure what "fresh on deck" meant, but it may have been a good thing? He'd be on this "boat" for a while, so there was no need to fly off the handle so soon. Valerius gave a nod and continued on. Running into... "Wait, how did he say his name? Prr-up... Pu'rup-pik... P'rup-trik... Rupt- "Damn it all. I'll call him Rupture. Or Frog-man." He ran into Rupture and accepted the handful of berries, recognizing them for what they were, though his comment about getting sick from touching him encouraged the druid to wipe the berries off on his coat before eating them.

The druid bumped around until he found their quarters. He stashed his things and on the way back came across "the head." Odd thing to call an outhouse. Or a chamber pot? Flipping up the lid and seeing the empty sky below, some underused bit of a mischievous nature gave him the amusing thought of using it while someone unpleasant was on the ground below, and experienced an unpleasant surprise. He endeavored to use it before they got too far from town and headed up on deck.

In regards to who was going in the crow's nests, "Fair enough. I can't fit quite so many javelins on my back as you lot can fit arrows, so I'll stay on this level, then." He buttoned up his heavy coat as the temperature dropped, as it was becoming cold even beyond his normal comfort, and rested a hand on his hook. People assured him that it couldn't keep him from falling off, but it made him feel better. The illusions we show ourselves, perhaps.

'Air strikeOn the main deck, Valerius watches Captain Frostraven ending her control. Instead, she goes to the bow and pulls a spyglass out of one of her many pockets. She watches a mountain peak far away and maybe the druid notices that she is nervously biting on her lips.

-------------------------

Khat climbs up the rope ladder. The gas bags have inflated further and the passage to the top is even narrower. But the gas bags are now much colder than before.
Khat arrives just in time to see Prrup-tik cover his eyes with his right hand and then point toward the sun with the other.

The frogman had spent the last few hours peering over the edge of the lookout at the fascinating cloud scenery. However, there was a lack of variety. Clouds. Cumulus, stratocumulus, some nimbostratus far away, cumulus again, altocumulus.
But after a while his eyes hurt from the glaring sun and his formerly moist nose felt quite frozen as well. A rocky and snowy mountain peak passes few miles away. Prrup-tik was looking at the dull gray linen in front of him to relax, when a few fleeting movements on the linen caught his eye. Shadows danced back and forth. The frogman blinks twice, then turns toward the sun.
The sun's rays blind him, but he immediately recognizes the twelve shadows swooping toward the airship.

Able Aeronaut Featherstar's gaze follows Prrup-tik's hand and his eyes widen. "By all the gods! Giant jackdaws! A flock of giant jackdaws is attacking us!"

DM's note:The adventurers at the main deck do not see the giant jackdaws yet and cannot act until the alarm bell is rang.

The jackdaws are at different heights, thus, an area spell will only affect one per spell/round.

Khat - Rouge Female Shifter (Swiftstride) | Darkvison: 60ft, PP 13, PI 11 | Status: normal | Initiative: +5

Khat check the two hooks that secured her harness to the ship and told her companions, "Mind your harnesses. Those creatures look big enough to snatch someone from the Crowsnest, and it's a long drop."

Khat brought her crossbow to her shoulder and, sighting down the crude sight, took aim and fired at the pack of birds. At this distance, it was less about actually hitting one and more about seeing how badly the movement of the birds, ship, and the wind would throw off her aim.

"Eh? The **** is a jackdaw?" After a second of hesitation, it clicked that these were things that could threaten the ship, so he double-checked his harness and kept his eyes on the horizon. A cold magical energy swirled in his hand, which Valerius

Kazza nodded at Khat as he climbed up to join Prrup-tik and herself on the top crow's nest. She maintained her business-like approach, though, and continued to

It didn't take long for something ominous to appear on the horizon, but she had no idea what these things were, having never heard of a jackdaw. "Birds?" she queried as she threw her cloak behind her to make room for her weapon. An arrow appeared in her hand with practised ease, and she

From this distance they looked like monstrous crows. "Will they intercept this ship or fly past?" she asked, not sure what kind of threat these things posed. "Sound the alarm!" she cried as she remembered at the last minute that they were the lookout, and should probably alert the rest of the vessel.

'Air strikeKhat and Prrup-tik misses with their shots, but Kazza hits the first one. A close hit due to wind, the moving airship and the quick birds, but a still hit! And a powerful one!

Like a revenge, the giant jackdaws' attacks come over the outlook like a thunderstorm of beaks and talons. Three of the large birds make fly-by attacks on the the adventurer. The first bird strikes with its beak

The other three jackdaws land on the envelope and attack the sensitive cloth with the vital gas bags below.

One bird attacks the aileron wings on the airships right side. Ropes, cloth and wood are torn into pieces.

Two other birds try to attack the captain and the helmsman, but the two aeronauts are very experienced and dodges the attacks by hiding behind the tents.

DM's notes:1.) Attacking a flying jackdaw with a bow or crossbow is with disadvantage due to the wind and the speed of both airship and birds.

2.) The alarm bell was rang, thus the adventurers at the main deck can act, now, too.

3.) The jackdaws are at different heights, thus, an area spell will only affect one per spell/round.

4.) You can post and act in any sequence. The NPCs act with the foes.

When you choose the circle of the moon at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use Wild Shape on your turn as a bonus action, rather than as an action. Additionally, while you are transformed by Wild Shape, you can use a bonus action to expend one spell slot to regain 1d8 hit points per level of the spell slot expended.
Combat Wild Shape 1/2 | The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into more dangerous animal forms. Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Wild Shape to transform into a beast with a challenge rating as high as 1 (you ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there). Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a beast with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 3, rounded down.Circle Forms
You have resistance to fire damage.Hellish Resistance | Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.Darkvision | You know the ray of frost cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the armor of Agathys spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.Legacy of Stygia 1/1

The bolt of freezing energy fizzled into empty air as one of the birds pecked him half to death. This attack was faster and far more vicious than he'd anticipated. Looking at his own dark blue blood beginning to seep through his clothes, he growled, "I just bought this jacket!" He opened his mouth wider than it had any business being. Rough hair sprouted across his body, new red eyes on the sides of his head, and spindly arms on his back. Within a couple of blinks of an eye, Valerius had become a giant spider. He hopped onto the envelope and skittered up along it, looking for a target. He found one of the jackdaws perched on the envelope and went to bite.

Khat - Rouge Female Shifter (Swiftstride) | Darkvison: 60ft, PP 13, PI 11 | Status: normal | Initiative: +5

Khat smiled; her long incisors turned the smile into a feral grin. The creatures had come within range of psychic blades. The Swiftstride Shifters smile got even more prominent as the strange Frogman hopped out of the Crowsnest and moved to the closest bird, distracting it. Khat threw her psychic blade at the distracted monster, hitting it and finishing off the first bird.

Khat turned, shifting targets, and threw her second psyblade at the bird that had landed further forward.

The attack came swiftly and on the wings of power. Kazza narrowly managed to avoid the beak and talons of one that flew straight past her, using her elven agility to move out of the way just in time. "Ugh!" she exclaimed as she came upright again, the bird having flown off. She quickly scanned the skies and then the bulbous envelope of the ship where she spotted a lone bird just close enough for her to reach. Take a cue from Prrup-tik who nimbly jumped onto the envelope, she gaze it a moment's hesitation before jumping onto the spongy surface herself. It turned out to be harder than she'd expected. As long as she maintained a position close to the centre, she'd hopefully manage to avoid the long way down. If a bird didn't somehow push her off.

Once she'd adjusted to the surface, she reached the bird with the bow still in her hand,
