So all Eberron races are allowed, not just warforged? If we were to play a kalashtar or dhifter or the like, is there any special lore we should know about?

all material from the accepted sources is allowed, i just wanted to make a special mention to warforged because their lore is that they are leftovers from the old world, lore for every other race varies from town to town because the world is so fractured that there is no one truth to any race any more. elves in one town are completely different from elves in another. your backstory can be whatever you want it to be and there's no predicting how people in a town will react to you.

Would Blood Hunter be an alright class to play? It doesn't really fall into a specific source book so I'm not sure what your thoughts are on that.

Heyo, going to pitch some character concepts, wondering which one best fits the flavor of the campaign being run or if they are all workable.
Kalia (Human Ranger): Kalia was raised by her father who was essentially a post-apocalyptic conspiracy theorist/professional nutjob/survivalist who was convinced that the tinmen (constructs) were both responsible for the apocapypse and working to 'finish the job's and wipe out the world of men. He would disappear for months at a time, leaving his wife and children to more or less fend for themselves in the wilderness while he went skulking through long forgotten, long forbidden places, hunting for tinmen, killing them, and selling their remains to wealthy 'perverts' as he would call them. Every now and then one appeared in a village or town and he'd be the one that people called on. Kalia doesn't know much about that - all she knows is that Ma died of a pox, and she and her brother wandered the wilds, fending for themselves until they came upon civilization. Her brother being too young for real work, Kalia makes a living guarding caravans and the like while she works to support her brother and look for her father whom she knows won't be far behind any mention of men of metal. Sigard 'Big Sig' (Half-orc barbarian): The bad times took Sigard's parents long ago. He remembers famine like he remembers his tongue and teeth - absent until suddenly, horribly not. So, when he can, Sigard eats and feasts and drinks and gambles until his entire face goes numb and the bad times are forgotten. He is good company, but despite his relatively good nature, he is undeniably frivolous and wasteful. After his latest bender his... well, he doesn't know what exactly they are to each other, but Dulla wasn't - she wasn't supposed to just leave. He is somewhat adrift now, uncertain what he wants now or how to go about getting it. He wants her to come back to him, yes, but it is not as if their last screaming match they had was wholly unjustified. Now it is not like the food tastes worse, or the drink less has suddenly become less inviting, but they are less... fulfilling somehow and he finds himself by himself more and more often, friends and comrades giving him space to brood. Pebble (Dwarf Artificer): A foundling, Pebble was raised by one of the most unlikely parents imaginable: a warforged construct named Mother. Given his strange upbringing - or perhaps some quirk of his physiology - Pebble does not understand social niceties and has a hard time reading facial cues or delivering them himself, his face rarely changing expression no matter the situation. If he is inscrutable, he finds the world equally baffling, secretly terrified by displays of extreme emotion that seem so common among the meaties. Still, he has journeyed to these strange lands, Mother having been captured and taken away. |

all of those concepts are interesting and would work in the world. i made the world very open to as many character concepts as possible. the question is which one wold you have the most fun playing?

Not sure! It kind of depends on party composition. Sigard's probably the most flexible personality-wise though so if I were going to pick going in blind, I'd pick him.

half orc barbarian, a classic choice

Question, just because Eberron is allowed, what is the stance on firearms as they are viable in Eberron
