2023 Hall of Fame Winners!

right-aligned image
Every year, we ask our community to nominate the finest, most exceptional games on this site for inclusion in the prestigious Hall of Fame. It's that time again! What is the Hall of Fame, you ask? Check that out here, including a list of all games inducted.

Drum roll, please! We have new games to add to the ranks of the Hall of Fame for 2023!

This year nine games were nominated for Hall of Fame status, and the competition was tight; the first round of voting narrowed that list to six, and after a final round of voting by our Community Supporters, now we have three new games to induct into the Hall of Fame!
Battle of the Bards, a Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition game DMed by Fillyjonk
The Coils of Veles, a Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition game DMed by 4eyedbadger
Nothing Ever Happens in the North, a Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition game DMed by lostcheerio
We also added categories judged by a panel of members this year: Hidden Gems, for those games of great worth trying to survive in the competition against oppressive odds, and Extraordinary, for the games that bring something new to the table.
Though far from Hidden, Great Old Ones (5e) is such a Gem, we could not help but award it Hall of Fame status. Thank you for such an enjoyable read, Reliq0770. Retired adventurers will never look the same again.

Our second category winner is Rebirth of Power, an Extraordinary GURPS superhero/villain campaign. Not only has this game withstood the test of time, players coming in and out, and multiple efforts going in different directions all at once, but Rukellian has made masterful use of tools like a dummy website and a chat server's logs to develop the world of supers to the next level.
Truly impressive games! And I say that not just to the GMs, but to the players who don't get a shiny badge, too. You are a big part of what makes these games worthy of the Hall of Fame.

These five winning games will get moved into the Hall of Fame forum for everyone to read. Hall of Fame GMs will shortly have a shiny new badge showing up beside their name. And don't forget bragging rights! Finally, it should be noted to the Hall of Fame GMs that for the purposes of these games, you'll be treated as Community Supporters. Any folders, with or without passwords, subfolders, or anything else you would like, just ask and it shall be done. It's a perk of having such a great game!
