If Mayarc makes a move action and begins casting a spell that takes 1 round, when will it manifest? Or does Mayarc need to spend the entire turn casting the spell and nothing else?

I suppose I will allow you to split up one full round action into two uninterrupted standard actions taken over two rounds, so it would manifest the next round, half way through your turn.

Just wondering: when does Ryn act? After guard 2? After Tocar?

Gotcha VPA. Thanks.
Second questions: How much control do I have over the actions of a summoned creature? Can I make it attack in a certain way? Or will it attack in whatever way is natural to it?

"This spell summons an extraplanar creature (typically an outsider, elemental, or magical beast native to another plane). It appears where you designate and acts immediately, on your turn. It attacks your opponents to the best of its ability. If you can communicate with the creature, you can direct it not to attack, to attack particular enemies, or to perform other actions."
You can control your summoned creature to the extent that you can communicate to them. If you figure out how to tell your celestial dog to jump on an orc's head and piss in it's eyes than I will allow it. Thamewolf, technically you act after Guard 2, but because your actions are not likely to overlap and interfere with one another you may act now. I am only delaying Guard 2's actions for WildKnight's benefit.

How would a celestial dog attack? Would it charge if it had room to run? Would it automatically attempt a trip attempt if the initial attack succedes?
Here's why I'm asking these questions: I want to summon a dog on the right-hand cliff with enough room to charge the orc, connecting with enough force to topple the orc off the cliff, in addition to the normal attack damage it would deliver. At Mayarc's current level, 25ft is the max distance that the dog can be summoned, and I would summon it 25ft diagonally from me, so that would give it 10 feet of charging distance. With a 19 Str, the dog will have plenty of oomph behind it. I would think that the dog would have a surprise bonus as well, since it's coming from the orc's blind side.

Celestial Dog
I don't find it too farfetched that your dog would 'bullrush' the orc. Your dog would have a Combat Maneuver Bonus of +4 (+3 Str, -1 Size +0 BAB, +2 Charge) against the orc's Combat Maneuver Defense of 14 so it is possible for your dog to knock him over the cliff with a roll of 10 or higher. Though, if your dog succeeds both your dog and the orc would take falling damage, (1d6 Lethal Damage).

Well, the dog is only manifested for a single round anyway, so the lethal damage wouldn't be that big a deal.
Point of order, though. The summoned animal would be a Celestial Riding Dog, which has a different stats (higher Str, BAB, etc.) than the regular Celestial Dog. Summon Monster I Riding Dog

Fair enough. The riding dog is significantly more powerful than the smaller dog, I don't know why they're both available really.
S'all good?

Urg. Question. Is there a living Orc standing right by Tocar, or is that red dot the dead one?

The 'red dot' is the orc that you killed, I tried to represent it's 'deadness' with the black spackle on top of it.
