Youngji, first and foremost, is huge, even for a troll. She stands a massive seven and a half feet tall of burly muscle, more of a brick wall than a living, breathing person. She has a powerlifter's body, if a powerlifter ate another powerlifter. This comes as a result of having focused on strength for most of her life - after all, it gave her an advantage in whatever she did, so why not? Her emphasis on physical strength, though, was a self fulfilling prophecy. She really only knew how to solve issues with her fists, and as such, she trained her fists to be effective weapons of mass dislocation. She naturally found success. Still, though, if you need any heavy lifting, she's your girl. Burly, massive, ready to throw down at any given moment.

She has sharp features and tusks in her bottom jaw, poking up past her lips, and a resting evil face. She consistently looks up to no good, even if the only thing on her mind is a nice nutrisoy burger. Her horns bend backwards and curve, almost like a ram's - a feature she's always cursed. After all, if her horns just grew correctly - forward, that is - she could totally use them to gore people! And how dope would that be? Unfortunately, she wasn't quite that lucky, and she curses whatever cruel deities made her this way every time she wakes up and looks in a mirror. That, of course, after the sleeveless flexing selfies. Nice.

Her hair is a wild mane of straight frizz, usually mercifully tied back in a ponytail popping out from an upturned snapback she owns - on the hat proper it reads "LONG LIVE," and under the brim in various handmade methods, it reads "YUNG G." She's a bit audacious, to say the least. Her outfit usually consists of relatively effective clothing to protect her, but she has been known to add a bit of flair whenever possible - and that means always. She always took an interest in fashion and physical appearance, enjoying thoroughly the act of conveying her own individuality. An example of such is what she usually wears on her face. Youngji has a collection of facial masks and bandanas she wears as accessories, though they only prove to make her stand out more. At the same time, she does absolutely look super rad. In any case, her presence is a loud one through and through, mixing the practical with the outright ridiculous. She wouldn't have it any other way.

Background:

 

Born in Berlin to parents who were members of a cult known as The Purity Ring, she was pegged for greatness as soon as she emerged from the womb of one of many of the leader's concubines. After one police raid when she was still too young to remember much of anything aside from blood, though, the cult was gone - so now, what to do with the baby troll? She spent most of her developmental years being passed along within the system - orphanage after orphanage after foster home after foster home. Every modern day saint taking in stray kids learned what the previous caretakers found out quite quickly: the new troll girl was a handful and a half. Always a rambunctious youth bordering on obnoxious (or greatly surpassing the threshold, depending on who you asked,) Youngji consistently found herself getting in trouble, whether with the heads of house, her peers, or the law. She made few friends, but the friends she did made quickly realized that she was the type of girl who is ride or die - emphasis on die. Either they stayed for the loyalty or left due to how she was. She never considered consequences to her actions, and thus when consequences caught up to her, they were usually harsh, almost always administered by her "guardian".

Eventually, this lifestyle of arriving, getting in trouble, rinsing, and repeating finally came to an end once she became of age and was more or less kicked out of the system. Fending for herself, surprisingly, came naturally to Youngji, being able to work the streets and find odd jobs here, there, and everywhere. Friends, at this point, became scarcer and scarcer. Deciding to leave Berlin, she booked a one way trip to New York for no other reason than a friend who had left for the same location and a hint of what could be a better life. Life, however, continued much the same there, being a raucous type causing trouble wherever she went. She managed to start making money everywhere she went due to her strength and her strength alone, but she was eventually forced out of New York, traversing a few other cities in an attempt to plant down something resembling roots - New Orleans, bopping around Texas, Los Angeles, and finally Seattle. She made a living for herself consistently through her fighting ability and not much else - she has the scars to prove it. A fighter through and through, Youngji currently is searching Seattle for the next thrill... Or the next paycheck. Whichever seems more appealing. She's not a fan of the rain, but it's a decent enough place, right? As far as places go?

She prefers not to think much about it.

Through her years of nomadic wandering about, she further developed her devil-may-care attitude and general disregard for others' input as it became increasingly clearer to her that the only person she could rely on is herself. Because of this, she naturally has issues with trust and opening up, though she claims there isn't anything to open up about. She lives her life as an open book, only one half written. Youngji is fully willing to self-sacrifice for the sake of her work, and she's developed the scars to prove it. To call her tough is an understatement - but to call her unintelligent is one just the same. She has only a few very small, very specific knowledge bases, and everything else simply isn't worth her time. For someone who was lucky enough to actually have something resembling an education (as much as home schooling in various homes was,) she almost deliberately fought not to retain any of it. In her off time, she enjoys annoying the very few individuals she considers friends, vaping from her custom made revolver-pen (essentially a modified revolver where each of the chambers holds a different flavor of vape,) and "curling your squat." Ever the meathead, she loves lifting heavy weights, and loves the attention she gets when lifting much heavier than someone near her. Intensely proud, she believes that she simply cannot be destined for failure - after all, it would've happened already, right? She prefers jobs that are more on the physical side, being incredibly unfit for subtlety. At the same time, though, she'd be more than content being little more than hired muscle. After all, what better muscle could you hire?

Roleplaying Example:

 

If only there were a strategic, comfortable way to integrate an umbrella with a horn. All Youngji had managed to force together was a lopsided rain-shield barely protecting her and, worse, tugging on what was essentially a bone protruding out of her body - not quite a pleasant sensation, and when combined with the cold, wet situation making itself abundant and apparent, it all combined to be utterly useless. With a scowl and a quick hit from her vape (sour apple, the one true savior,) the troll reverted to holding onto her umbrella to cover protect her from the weather like a common street rat. She could take on at least five of them in a fight, even if they had knives. Maybe ten. The world was truly her oyster if she decided to boil it sufficiently. The water pouring from the sky would surely prove adequate for the purposes of cooking the entire world, right? Well... She was hot enough, at least.

Her trail of nonsensical non-sequiturs stopped abruptly as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other in the alley she was resting in. She briefly felt, with her free hand, the wet brick she was relaxing on as her hand darted to her pocket, resting comfortably as she noted an individual in a full suit take a turn into the corridor she occupied. Smiling widely beneath the bandana, she waited a moment before whistling at the individual.

"Oi, chummer, what up?"

The man, continuing to approach regarded her with mild annoyance as he continued silently along. The corners of Youngji's mouth twitched downward momentarily. A crack of lightning briefly illuminated the rainy night, a low rumble of thunder following a few seconds later.

"Free comedy act at the new coffee spot that just opened up. Expresso, y'heard of it? 10% off with a flier. Got 'em in my jacket 'cuz it's rainin' like you-know-what. Best beans in town. Yeah, beans. Get you some, my guy."

He pretended as if he didn't hear her as he approached parallel. Obviously, the plan didn't quite work as anticipated. Plan A usually always sucked - dictated by boring Mr. Johnson as if he knew any sort of proper way to get anything done. None of them really knew. Well, a few knew. The ones who'd done this before and moved on. Granted, most people who did this ended up dead. Ah, well. Plan B was always more fun. Youngji made her move - her move being a swiftly thrown punch straight toward the man's nose...

...connecting with a snapping noise slightly muffled by the rain and the man immediately crumpling to a heap before her. Giving a cursory glance around her to ensure privacy, she confirmed it and began rifling through the man's pockets.

"Who even goes down an alley alone anymore? Dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Should take everything but your underwear for being that dumb. Prolly die of, like, the flu or something. Stupid idiot."

Fishing out a small card, she brought it close to her face to read it. Something something something... Ah, here we go. Some name - Xiong something - some contact methods... Whatever. This was what her employer wanted, this was what they'd get. There were absolutely no restrictions on number of noses broken, so this was like the bloody cherry on top! She deserved a bonus. She absolutely deserved a bonus. She spun on a heel and left the man, unconscious, where he was. He'd come to... Eventually. Probably. Most likely. Right? Yeah. Definitely. Hopefully. She was specifically instructed not to kill him, only maybe minor roughhousing if absolutely necessary, and the situation clearly was beyond control, so she did the only thing that was left to do in order to fulfill the job as desired.

Tucking the card in her pocket, she briefly examined her hands for any blood, noting with relief the rain slowly washing it away. Lazily holding her hand outside the canopy of her umbrella, she traced a messy line against one of the walls of the alley, walking with a bit more bounce than she usually had. Finding the end of the alley, she took a right turn, passing various emptied buildings, littered with fliers slowly ruining, offering rewards for missing people. She chuckled out loud to herself. 'Expresso.' What a bad name for a fake coffee shop.

...Some soykaf did sound really nice, though.

Youngji's gaze fixed a distance ahead of her, on a sign underneath a dim, flickering street lamp. Some sort of diner. Eh. Why not treat herself after a job well executed? She deserved it. Another brief glance at her hand left her satisfied with the level of blood on her hand - which is to say, none - and she brought it back under her umbrella, spinning it a bit as she walked. What a nice, easy night this turned out to be! She'd have to blog about it or something. Though, she'd have to make a blog first.

Hmm.

Or, she could order takeout later on and pass out in her PJs.

Yeah, that one was more appealing.

Contacts: Holden, human male, Connection 2, Loyalty 4: A previous ex, hooked up with Youngji shortly after she arrived in Seattle. The breakup was entirely initiated by Youngji, though they decided mutually to stay friends. A strange fellow. Youngji never thought to ask his surname, so she just... Doesn't know it, and feels it would be too weird to ask after they'd gone on multiple dates. Slings a decent soyburger from his cart and gives Youngji extra spicy sauce when she pulls up.

Books: standard 5e, i have a pdf version of that and also a pdf version of The Complete Trog 5e, which basically just adds more depth and possibility to orks & trolls as well as some fun stuff i'd like to include with her - if you'd rather not use that, though, i can easily switch to a version of her not including that book!

(small notes! i left background relatively open incase you wanted to fudge with it a little to create subplots or what have you - if accepted, i can certainly flesh things out further with your discretion, or things can purposely remain a bit barebones to come up later in the plot! it's all gucci. i can also change things around plenty if needed, again, no huge deal. the basic concept is a huge troll girl who is all about flash & panache - unarmed combat, bows, and DA BIG GUNS [heavy weapons, not her biceps.] also fashion. and being a complete disaster about 95% of the time.)

small sidenote! i'm currently in the process of making various little changes and tweaks to yung g via chummer, all or none can be reverted no sweat! as for her personality, backstory, etc. it will all remain the same. just build/char sheet stuff, though the idea is still gonna remain the same - very strong and flashy. makes too many bad jokes, doesn't shut up, has never heard the terms "manners" or "propriety."

Name / Alias: Francis the Magnificent “Mag”

Intended Role: Magician/Shaman
Description and/or Picture: The first thing that you would notice about Mag is the suit. Nearly always wearing his somewhat shiny black suit, Mag is a stage magician through and through. Underneath the suit one would find an average human male in his mid 30’s, black hair just long enough to get to the bottom of his ears. He was once in very good shape but has been letting himself go and it is starting to show.

Background: Growing up Francis’s father introduced him to stage magic with trideo replications of the classic of old such as Harry Houdini and David Copperfield. Ever since then he knew that he was going to be a stage magician one day.
When he first started performing, he had the standard nerves but he was able to overcome them. As his shows started getting bigger and bigger he found it harder and harder to overcome his stage fright. That is when a fellow performer gave him some novacoke to try, telling him it will settle your nerves and help you perform easier. Hesitant to try it at first, he finally caved to his fear and from there it was an avalanche of addiction. First, it was the Novacoke, this opened the door to worse drugs and, eventually, he got hooked on Deepweed. Every show he performed his addictions grew and any income was going right back into the drugs.
Francis finally hit rock bottom when he was blacklisted from performing. Living on the streets for a few years drove Francis to the shadows, needing to find a source of income to feed his addiction he realized that he could use the stage skills for other purposes.
