I'm inclined to agree. Though in a world where magic exists such game breaking magic items would available. The questions is, how would you defend against 8 PC teleportating behind your lines of defense?

1) Yeah, stats won't change but racial feats will effect the NPCs, that is a good point which hadn't even occurred to me.

2) Night battles for this war will not. As the game is effectively a single combat starting at dawn night is well outside of where we will play.

Do the mounted npc's have the right ac? If they have on breastplate it should be 2 lower. Or are they wearing chainmail?

And if the heavy npc's have 16 ac, they must be wearing breastplate and a shield? Not just a shield.

Still a couple weeks to go before the game begins and Ambestar need another PC.

I'd be interested in joining this (according to the last post I'll be part of Ambestar's army?), though won't be quite sure what my character will be until I can sort through what we need strategically (we seem to already have a shootery character, a fightery character, and two magicky characters).

If you already have an even number of players I'll just wait as an alternate in case someone else drops/joins so that you can maintain an even number and so as not to unbalance anything.
