@All, I eluded to a couple of things in my IC post.
Probably the biggest and the unknown is our marching order and possibly splitting the Party. Khat has +9 to stealth and the ability to add a d6 to. Failed roll. I’m perfectly comfortable having her scout ahead. Some of this will be player preference, but also how LeDragon would like to play this capability. Second, Khat has the ability to chat with two other characters (Proficiency Bonus) for 1d6 hours (her psi-die). We’ll need to determine the two character with whom she’ll link.

Saluruk with high perception could stay at the entrance or with the ship and be one of the connections. I could then race in as well if needed.

@LeDragon, I just realized that with Khat's Stealth, Perception, and Psi-powered Knack, I've effectively turned her into a Familiar, scouting ahead of the party. I know that you wanted to avoid this situation. So, I'm open to suggestions, including forcing Khat to proceed with the rest of the party. Quote:
Distance I want Saluruk to stay within 60 ft (BA Dash) to 90ft (Action and BA dash) of Khat. This will allow Khat to return to Saluruk and/or Saluruk to move up and retreat. Some of this depends on the exact terrain and how LeDragon wants to handle it. Psychic Whispers. This will be with Saluruk and the Captain. It works up to 1 mile and will last d6 hours. The first cast does not cost a psi-die. Psi-Bolstered Knack This ability kicks in anytime Khat fails an ability check with a skill or tool with which she has proficiency (e.g., Perception, Stealth). The die is not expended unless the die would mean the difference between success and failure. From now on, I'll always roll the psi-die - for example, Perception 12 + 4 (Psi-die). As an action, choose one or more creatures you can see, up to a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus, and then roll one Psionic Energy die. For a number of hours equal to the number rolled, the chosen creatures can speak telepathically with you, and you can speak telepathically with them. To send or receive a message (no action required), you and the other creature must be within 1 mile of each other. A creature can’t use this telepathy if it can’t speak any languages, and a creature can end the telepathic connection at any time (no action required). You and the creature don’t need to speak a common language to understand each other. The first time you use this power after each long rest, you don’t expend the Psionic Energy die. All other times you use the power, you expend the die. Psi-Bolstered Knack. When your nonpsionic training fails you, your psionic power can help: if you fail an ability check using a skill or tool with which you have proficiency, you can roll one Psionic Energy die and add the number rolled to the check, potentially turning failure into success. You expend the die only if the roll succeeds.

As written in the PM, I have no problems with Khat sneaking ahead. She is like any other character sneaking ahead. Maybe sneakier than others, maybe silenter in her communication, maybe also deader.

I have Fog Cloud too, but I think it won't work with the ship moving - not to mention the wind.

The fog /clouds will move with the wind. It will only work if the engines are switched off and the airship travels with the wind

I guess if it comes to needing fog, maybe Valerius and Prrup-tik can cast side-by-side clouds to increase area without upcasting.
@DM, can I tell what kind of dragon it is?

Everyone casting clouds or fogs makes it more difficult for the dragon to spot the airship and vice versa. When the airship isn't moving by its engine.
How much does Valerius know about dragon? Roll nature or INT to know more than "dark-red, huge, nasty".
