Interestingly, 'Eli' is actually two names: the Hebrew-derived hard 'e'/hard 'i' Eli which is a stand-alone name or the shortened form of Elijah, Elizabeth, or a few other names, and the Scandanavian-derived soft 'e'/hard e sounding 'i' which is the shortened form of Helena!
So Eli can be pronounced both ways, making it a fairly nifty name.

I do not have a specific favorite, as I love pretty much all of them. Theropods in general are a big classic though, and make for great D&D enemies to boot, which is awesome.
