Why do we celebrate good things on holidays that happen only once each year?

Time is the thing that keeps everything from happening all at once.

I heard a very interesting take on that concept recently as it could relate to the widespread use of time travel. Basically, the person thought chaos would ensue from everything happening all at once in every given moment since anyone could do anything literally at any time. They didn't have time to dwell or expound upon the thought, but it caught my attention.
Would it?

It always grosses me out- especialy when its cold- but I guess if it's improving her experience of the world then gross is only relative anyway. The ocasional smear of sence enhancing mucas on my cheeks is a small price to pay for excited dog love.

They do have slight changes in colour at the beginning of their leafy cycle as they start to sprout from the branches compared to when they're in full spread, just that it's not as noticeable. As an example, when sakura start to bloom, the leaves that remain after the blossoms have fallen are slightly different in colour than when the blossoms first appear. (BTW, I'm not a botanist, so I have no idea how close my answer might be to the truth )

More appropriately, leaf death.

Here's trivia about red leaves in autumn: Red leaves usually appear in trees that bear sweet fruit, or produce extra sweet sap, like maple trees.

Your mileage may vary depending on your definition of "usually", but Leo is correct. The red color is the product of a sugar, called anthocyanin, and that sugar does often occur in things like Sugar Maple (go figure), as well as many of the fruit bearing trees we know (Persimmon, for example). If Cherry and Plum and Pear trees could keep their leaves longer, they might give other "red" leaf trees a run for their money in fall too (but they often shed their leaves before the colors are mature).

When Jack was on his way home, having unwisely sold the family cow for a handful of beans, he determined to keep his being hoodwinked a secret. However, when he arrived home, his mother demanded to know where either the money or the cow was. Jack, hand in his pocket as he tried to come up with a convincing lie, accidentally stumbled. As he yanked his hand from his pocket to catch himself, he spilled the beans, thus revealing his secret.
j/k...I have no idea.
