You know I am almost too afraid to try rolling for my stats. If we had "reroll all 1's" maybe but right now I'm leaning heavily toward the sure thing with the 20 point buy.

Alephia, for Nik's vampirism infection, there are three options I see:

1) Use the Half-Vampire template from Libris Mortis (+2 LA)
2) Use a lesser template that you and I can come up with
3) No template. Fangs and bloodlust as fluff, with no mechanical difference.

What would you prefer I do?

Let me spend a few min reviewing these... and get an answer to you within the hour. Although I'm often in favor of focusing more on the look and feel instead of the mechanics, I definitely think this calls for a template of some kind.

Alephia what are you thoughts on the Salient Powers for Lycans from the Ravenloft Campaign setting? Could we get these to work with the PF template at all? The main one I'd like would be

Spider Climb (Su): Only lycanthropes with a
hybrid form can have this power. While in hybrid
form, the lycanthrope is able to climb sheer surfaces
as if under the effects of a spider climb spell.
This power is most commonly found in wererats

This would rock...but perhaps it's a bridge too far? I'd love to use it and I can see a wereferret scrambling along the walls and such. But no worries if it's too much.

And the Blood Drain/Dependency is a little too severe.

I'll make you a deal (especially in light of your ability scores predicament) - I'll trade you a single salient power in return for both "Chemical Bane" and "The Hunger." These are both detailed in the same section, and neither are part of the normal PF template (as far as I know).

If that's a deal, then we'll need to come up with a substance for your chemical bane.

I'd settle for the original point buy which is what I had inteded to do...and even already have on my sheet but the DM asking if I would be as lucky as Beth tempted me to give it a try.

Heck at this point my rolls give me a 13 point buy...if nothing else I guess I'll have to take the 15 point buy but not sure those 2 more point will help at all.

EDIT: In reference to your above post...I'd be happy to go with the Salient power and take the Hunger and the Chemical Bane...I'd plan on taking those any way
