City trackers? "Really?" the young orc was surprised by the remark, but then again it made sense. That one would specialize in such a skill if they lived among cities, if this town was anything to go off of bounties were a common thing. For him tracker meant huntsman, someone who followed footprints and broken branches and other disturbances of nature. Well whatever the case this blind man suddenly became much more interesting. "And didn't I hear you say something about not needing a proper cut, long as you were 'implemented justice' or some such nonsense? You find these men for me I'd be happy to deal with them, I'll come along with ya," he offers, downing his drink and rising unsteadily to his feet. Needed to talk to the gravekeeper anyway, he was a local, exactly what he needed for the flower picking.

"Trust me, there are people who can track you to the ends of the world." She stated confidently and turned around to meet the halfork's eyes. "Don't sweat the details." she grinned, continuing the lighthearted tone of their conversation.

"It didn't mention the rate." she briefly shook her head "That was part of the reason why I wanted to visit the farmer, the other big mystery is what a permanent solution would entail." it was clear from the way she said this, she relished finding those two out.

"So the flowers caught your attention? The task sounds so boring though. Or would you perhaps know the particular reason the offered reward would be this high? Mithy asked, her curiosity clearly peaked.

Then the exchange, between Akrus and Jonathan took palce. Mithy was overjoyed and lept between the two man, streching her arms over their respective backs, proclaiming her paticipation "Well Jonathan, if you are going for the bounties, then sign me up. Sorry Akrus, I'll be having me a slice of this pie as well." her clear tone, and lively stare betraying the friendly jab for its good natured intent. "Plus, that Elbryan sounds like more troubble than we'll get paid for, so having an extra blade on hand will definitely come into play." she made clear, she had ther backs.

Akrus"If the wanted men aren't even in the town there's no rush, the flower thing can be done in a day or two," he says with a wave of his hand. "Sides for all we know the flowers are right by the farm, best check with that bloke first," he wasn't too concerned about the high cost. Probably he was just some rich coward, desperate because someone he cared about was gonna die, but not desperate enough to journey into the wilderness himself. It was a job that wouldn't go unfinished long. "Get our down payment there, get the job locked to us, get it done, quick." he punctuated hard at the end. It was a chore, something he would do and get out the way quick before he rode off to glorious battle with the predators of the wilderness. He forced himself to focus at the last thing the energetic girl had said. If was maybe five seconds before he responded, only now growing a little somber at the thought of her presence. If she wanted to come along he'd let her, though hopefully they'd see trouble before any job was done, and she'd plainly see he deserved far better then an even split on the payment. "If you insist," he replied, a little less cheer and a little more doubt in his voice, especially at the next comment. "You actually know how to use that thing?" he said motioning to the odd sword she wore.

"Naturally." she replied. "I'd gladly do some friendly sparring with you after we take care of business, if by that point you still doubt my ability." At that point her smile retreated for just long enough, that her eyes would clearly betray her determination to follow through on her worlds. Seeing comprehension surface in Akrus's stare, it was clear from her followup brief, but pleased expression and nod, that she'd returned to her high spirits.

Ottar the wizard"I wash of a mind to head to Shilverymoon," Ottar told the elf. "But Baldur'sh Gate might be jusht ash intereshting to shee. I don't think I'm the right man for a manhunt, though. Never hunted people before, unlessh you count shiblingsh," he added, with a wink and just a slightly predatory smile.

"However, I'm more inclined to help the localsh. Thoshe sheem to me to be the worthier tashksh, and relatively shimple. Picking flowersh shoundsh like a very pleashant way to shave a life. Anyway, I've heard about theshe bloodflowersh, and would quite like to shee them."

During the conversation, Ottar spared the occasional glance around the bar at the other patrons. It was a colourful bunch. Jonathan seemed a bit stressed. Perhaps it was the crowd of the room, or maybe it was the religious zeal coming to the fore, but when Ottar had met him he'd had a more calm demeanour. Maybe the man just needed a drink...

The wizard also sent more than one concerned look in Akrus' direction as the young man went on. The half-orc was so self-absorbed and callous it made Ottar's stomach turn. Granted, orc society was hard, and so made hard people, but one would think that any one of them spending some time in civilized parts would show more adaptability. Clearly he needed a lesson, or perhaps several. With any luck, Ottar wouldn't have to teach him.

"Pleahse forgive me," he said with sudden remorse in his voice. A hand was extended to the elf. "I am Ottar Volsh, journeyman wizard."

Khagra"Khagra. I'm not your brother and I won't have a drink with you."

The was more he wanted to say, could have said, but he kept it simple. He had an intense, instinctual dislike he felt towards Arkus... Something that would blossom and grow the more he listened to what the young tribal was really saying over the coming minutes. He did not have the patience for anything more than a firm no. If Arkus wanted to fight about it, he'd oblige.

Then someone started shouting about bandits and things sort of spun out of control. It was just a metaphor and... He was starting to feel crowded. He declined the dwarf's honestly generous offer with an upheld hand and went to seek a spot a little less crowded. He already had a bed for the night anyway. Though, if the bunks were too noisy he'd consider it again.

It was, while he was off in the corner, that he saw one of the serving girls. He was being honest before. The flowers were a thing he'd help out with if he could and all it took was a simple question. He did his best to flag her down and asked when she was in earshot.

"'scuse me. You know anything about a Minnie Strafe? Why does she need the flowers so badly?"

BaronAs the half-orc spoke Baron felt his blood start to boil, it had been a while since someone had angered him with words alone but this was his home and the half-orc was trying to take advantage of its people. Baron looked at the half-orc and shook his head "No, desperation will not breed more coin for you. There is a reason orcs are seen as little more than beasts and you have shown most if not all of those qualities. You think that you can become the leader of your tribe? with the way you act now i understand why your father would pass you over for that seat. Learn to care about more than coin and battle and then perhaps you could be a leader that men and women would follow." he took Balefinn's hand and shook it "Good to meet you Mr. Balefinn." he looks at the other quieter half-orc "And you? You seem different then that one, are you willing to help the locals?"

Muinor
“Where are my manners,” Muinor said as he took Ottar’s hand, “Muinor. A sellsword. But you’re right regardless, it would be fruitful to help the locals. An act of honour to be sure.”

It wasn’t his first choice when it came to jobs, but it seemed pleasant enough. Besides, he had to admit there was honour in trying to help the locals and the sick within the city, and although he would have much rather preferred to go on a manhunt, something far less intense which would greatly benefit the people was the type of thing he was looking for. An honourable act, and the pay was significantly high, yet he didn’t know if he wanted to take the money. This type of job… it was the type one did out of charity. For honour’s sake.

And Solonor knew he needed the honour. “It sounds like a grand idea,” he said, looking back at Ottar, “I’d be glad to join you in this endeavour, Ottar Volsh.”

The Doctor
It was rather surprising that The Doctor, for all his people skills, was just as talented as simply fading from social interaction if he so pleased. It was not that he did not enjoy social environments, but merely that a tavern was too hectic for his needs or desires. His was a talent crafted for working his way through the world one person at a time, not swaying a rowdy crowd, although he could if necessary.

As discussion of the man in which he had interest arose, he stepped forward from the position he had taken in a nearby corner table, having absconded with the drink of his tablemate...who had long since passed out.

"I would, perhaps, be the seeker of men of which you have interest. I am a doctor by training and trade, but by faith and talent I am...well...a bit of something else. So if you, my good Justicar, feel that you do not measure up to the skill of your master in tracking men, then I may suggest that the two of us could serve that role sufficiently through our combined efforts."

Looking paste Jonathan Balefinn, he nodded to the gravekeeper. "If indeed we are to work together, then a place more befitting planning than this tavern would be in demand. I would be happy to accept your offer of such accommodations."

The ‘celebrations’ continued to rage on in the tavern, which caused most of what was said to be missed by the locals, he did not seem much interested in the conversations of the visitor’s to Thornwall. However, the few locals who did hear the conversations seemed to mostly frown and glare at a majority of what was said; it appeared Baron was not the only one who disapproved of the strangers trying to take advantage of plights of their friends and neighbors.

When Khagra called Morgan over to speak to her, she gave a sad smile and responded solemnly. "Minnie is the fur trappers’ daughter, her mother is very sick and her father is away for business. Her and her sister, Maggie, have been doing their best. Minnie is nine and Maggie is fourteen. Maggie is left to run the house and take care of Mildred, so Minnie has to the errands."

Continue to RP at the tavern if you want, but I’m moving on.~*~*~*~*~

Baron was able to finally round up those who wanted to assist with the job board, and persuaded them to follow him to his home. Regardless of motive or sleeping arraignment, Those who want to help with this flower/famer combo questeach person realized that it was best to at least compare notes with the others and followed along.

[spoilerbutton=ooc]Take it away Rylus, describe your area! Everyone else, if you post first….wrap up your tavern actions, and jump in; not everyone needs to do the same mission, but well…..let’s see how it goes.[/spoiler]

BaronLeading those who took him up on his offer he exited the tavern, pulling his sheep-skin cloak a little tighter around him and using the spear as a walking stick. He heads north along the road and come to a rusted iron gate which he pushes aside and heads into the graveyard. A few steps in he pulls a lantern off his side and holds it in the air whispering, after a moment it lights and floats along beside him showing the way. Weaving his way along the small dirt path you soon leave the graveyard through a back gate and up a small hill to a house that is nestled in some trees. Its a modest two story home that seems newer than a lot of the building in the town, he opens the door "Please make yourselves at home." once inside it is sparsely furnished but very clean, no dust or dirt anywhere which is not expected from what Barons cloths look like. A large table sits to the right with six chairs and a couch to the left with another two chairs rounding out the room. A set of stairs leads up in the back and just past those is a door.

AkrusA grin found its way back to his face at the girls answer. That was new. He thought of making some snide remark, a question if whether her skinny arms could pierce skin even with a blade, but he hushed it. That look in her eye she gave, just for a moment, she gave the glare of a real warrior. Not that he wouldn't take her up on that offer if she didn't prove useful. She seemed a prideful one, might even bet her whole share of the bounty on a duel, something he'd be all to happy to exploit.

A surge of white hot rage shot threw him at his fellow Khagarorcs words but he shoved it down. He forced his logical mind to take over, he reminded himself to pity the man. "They taught you to hate your better half didn't they? Told you ya were a monster," he gave a little 'tsk'' before turning to the Alphawizard. "I get the feeling that lot is more interested in flowers and farmers. Those bounties seem more interesting, at least now they do. 1200 aint all that much split 8 ways," he grumbled. "Sides, this one's takin a reduced cut, yer splittin it only three ways mostly!" he offered with a grin and a nod towards the blind man. "2 grand three ways is a lot of coin, and you'd be doing some good," he tacked on the last part in case the man cared. "Don't know where any of these cities are though, you all pick the bounties and do the plannin, find us the target, we take care of the rest," he offered with a nod to the girl. The doctor hadn't caught his attention until talking to the justicar, but he had it now, a healer was always good to have. Moresoever if he was useless in a fight. Someone who knew he was dependent on him when blades got drawn was good to keep around. Someone to make sure he stayed standing, make sure to dispell any foul sorcery that might incapacitate him.

Once all who followed him have gathered in the unusual dwarf’s dwelling, Balefinn carefully finds his way to a seat and puts his gear down. Sighing greatfully as he lowers into the chair he slowly works the kinks out of his arms and back from the long day of journeying. Pulling back his hood and undoing his eyewrappings he slowly massages his temples and wait for everyone else to settle in.
“First, I would like to extend my thanks to our host, a quiet place to discuss and recuperate is just what I required. Now my knowledge of geography will never be as good as you map seeing folks but I think I have a

general idea of what we face.”
Moving his sightless eyes across the room the young Justicar continued. “We have three bounties, an escort mission, a medical emergency, and a farmer in need. All worthy quests, all important in their own right. It shall come to little surprise to those who followed me that I care little for these jobs that are not bounties, however if you all believe we should commit ourselves to these other jobs I’ll gladly support you as long as the lawless ones posted are always in our sights.” Balefinn chuckled ruefully at his own faux pas, but decided to forgive himself.
“As to the bounties, Calimport is too far, we need a victory and we need it now, something to tighten our bond and resolve if we hope to be brothers in arms. Silverymoon is to the west, it is the closest of the bounties, and therefor the fastest one to bring to Justice. Truthfully, the Villian mentioned in the last bounty is my true target, but until we gather more information he is out of our reach.” Leaning back Jonathan clasped his hands together and waited for the discussion to begin.

As the group starting making their way out of the tavern, Mithy slipped the barmaid her dues for the meal and followed suit.

As they walked and Baron animated the lantern to light their way, Mithy hurried her stride until matched the dwarf's. "Hey, Baron was it? That's a neat trick. Are you some manner of magic user?"

...

When they were lead into Baron's home, Mithy quickly realized that the interior of the Green Briar tavern far more appealed to her expectations compared to her current location, so she instead turned her attention to those who had also elected to take part in the upcoming venture, and took one of the more central seats in the room.

The walk home"You could say that little warrior, The spirits tell me things and i listen. The rewards of which are a few spells that allow me to better keep the dead safe. You are smaller and younger than most warriors i have met, why did you choose the path of the blade?" The posed question honestly intrigued him and Baron wanted to eventually find out why all of them had chosen the paths that they did.

At homeBaron moved around the small dwelling a lot quicker and with more grace than previously seen, within moments he had a fire going and a kettle of tea put on. "I am making Tea if anyone wants some, or i have wine or brandy should your tastes lean towards a harder drink." he looks at Balefinn "That is understandable, none of you live here to the fact that you are willing to help is a boon that Thornwall could use even if some of its people are not willing to admit it. The bounty's need to be taken care of, and i agree Mr. Balefinn the last one listed....the mass murderer needs to be dealt with before he can upset the balance of life and death to much farther. With that being said my duty is to the dead and the spirits, i am willing to go after these bounties when the time comes but know that i will always return to my home." he thinks for a moment "And if you all prove to be compassionate and good you may return here at any time to rest and recover from whatever may be going on."
