Name: Master Brown. Race: Human, feat variant. Class: Immortal Mystic Background: Criminal Contact: The supplier who gave his group the materials for their experiments has not been caught, and can provide him with goods not easily obtained on the open market. The supplier is likely to charge high prices. Alignment: Neutral with good and chaotic tendancies. Personality: Quiet, withdraw, and hidden. Keeps secrets, especially about his past and the source of his powers. Appearance: He wears simple clothing. Behind/under the clothing he is human, but heavily scarred as if from strange surgical procedures. His eyes, skin, and hair are a light brown. His body is a bit short and fat, and his features somewhat round. Backstory: Little of importance happened to him during his childhood, except for the death of his grandparents, which drove a wedge between him and his brother and made him willing to participate in an experiment designed to take humanity beyond death. Some years later, he was part of a forbidden experiment to create a better man. Alchemy, magic, and even attempts at surgical grafting were imposed on him and the other subjects. He was the only member of the test group to survive the procedure with his mind intact and his body still functional. When those who had not died of their injuries went made and broke free, the commotion attracted the watch, who tried to arrest everyone, but there was so much confusion that most of the people escaped. The watch continued to hunt the group after that-Most of the other members of the group which created him are dead or in hiding someplace far away. He was fortunate that the growing fear of Pandora's awakening has caused enough traffic that he could make it out of the immediate range of news about his actions. In theory, he is more a victim of a crime than a participant in one, but he would still probably be imprisoned or executed simply because others see his power as dangerous. Perhaps if he proves himself able to control his powers he will gain respectability... Bond: He will likely form bonds to one or more of the other player characters as the game progresses. He has a younger brother who he is estranged from, but still loves, which may drive him to take risks to try to stop or stall Pandora. Ideal: Self-Improvement, and mastery of his powers. Flaw: Has trouble admitting his flaws and lies to cover them up. Quirk: Taps his foot impatiently much of the time. Trinket: A broken key which fits no lock (possibly from the lab where he gained his powers.) Kingdom of Citizenship: Hallein Combat style/role: Fights well in melee. Will have a sling for ranged combat but try to close to melee when possible. Although he will have a small number of powers with attack potential, he seldom uses his mystic powers to attack. |

Does that mean characters from Etix can't be over 99 years old?

No. Pandora's last attack, (Pandora being the darkness monster), which occurred a little under 100 years ago, was stopped by the Necromancer, and the Dragon King. While there were heavy casualties, 33% of the population of Etix survived. However, the attack that occurred 200 years ago, which also caused the collapse of the Myran civilization, had no known survivors. However in one of my posts, I stated that due to the fact that there are ways to avoid/escape/be ignored by Pandora, while it is unlikely, it is possible that a character may have survived this attack as well. No one knows whether there was an attack 300 years ago, but the Myran civilization arrived after it had finished, or if Pandora simply chose not to attack.
tl;dr: there is no problem with characters being over 99 years old, and being from Etix. It is extremely unlikely for a character to both be over 199 years old, and from Etix. If you are over 299 years old, you are from the mainland, not Etix, as that was when the first humanoids began to settle Etix.

Application
Name: Valdral (Val) Shadowmace
Race: Human Class: Cleric Background: Urban Bounty Hunter Alignment: LG Personality: Val is loyal and purpose driven. While believes in a strong adherence to the law, he also knows that in certain circumstance you must do what needs to be done, of course you should report those crimes to the local authorities and soon as it is safe to do so. Val places great value on friendships and is always more than willing to put himself in harm’s way to help his friends. While outgoing and joyful, Val does have a tendency forget himself and say things out of turn. Personality Trait: I enjoy being strong and like breaking things. Ideal: Responsibility. I do what I must and obey just authority. Bond: Those who fight beside me are those worth dying for. Flaw: I obey the law, even if the law causes misery. Appearance: Tall and slender Val carries himself with confidence and usually grace. Backstory:Valdral was born into a poor family in Hallein. His father died when Valdral was seven and he spent most of his youth doing whatever odd jobs he could find to help support his family. Through-out his time working on the streets and having many hungry nights Valdral hung onto the belief that the Goddess of Good fortune would look down upon him and his family sooner or later. Even when his mother died shortly after his 15th birthday Valdral would not be shook from his faith. After his mother died Valdral was taken into an apprenticeship by an aging bounty hunter named Salazar who taught Valdral the methods and mindsets behind criminals and how best to track them down and bring them to the proper authorities for justice. Salazar’s health quickly faded but Valdral took his position and while he was picky about his assignments, picking only the most brazen criminals, Valdral quickly made a name for himself and was able to support himself and Salazar until Salazar finally succumbed to his illness several years later. After watching another person close to him die before their time, Valdral decided it was time to give himself over totally to his faith and join the Order. Valdral dedicated his life to serving his faith and to act on the behalf of his church, never doubting that all the unfortunate circumstances of his life had transpired only to point him on this righteous direction. Valdral has spent the last 15 or so years in the service of his church. Kingdom of Citizenship: Hallein Last edited by HunterSeverus; Nov 28th, 2018 at 10:15 PM. Reason: Added Backstory |

Been my experience that most game adverts have a deadline for applications is two or three weeks. Yours is still over a month away. Folks might not be in a hurry to start and/or complete an app if they have until New Year's Eve to do so.

Hello EndTimes,
I’m in the camp that zevonian has mentioned. Let me formally express my Interest, while I use the generous time you’ve allotted to think up a character concept, which I’d consider worthy to submit for this intriguing world you’ve created. Last edited by Strange2099; Nov 29th, 2018 at 10:51 AM. |
