The backup character I'm rolling for randomly seems to be direct combat related as well. One of the mutations is Martial Affinity for example.

Cool stuff! I'm pleasantly surprised you went random for the mutations. I like the vice and weakness underneath her usual attitude and abilities, too. A little vulnerability beneath the strength is something I like in characters. I'm also digging the battle-babe barbarian for your backup too. Lastly, those pictures on the backdrop are a nice touch!

As for rolling stats, let's wait until the game begins proper in order to handle that. I'm pleasantly surprised that I managed to get three players, and I assume that Zevonian is also pondering a character concept? I assume that due to their question about Androids and mutations, but could've also been clarification for anyone interested.

I'll definitely need time to prep a proper first session adventure, and it'll also give time to see if anyone else is interested. Otherwise, I have the bare minimum players I'd like. I'm not 100% on how to start a new game subforum, but once it's ready we can handle the stat-based character creation stuff. Thank you all for the interest!

If you're accepting the players that have provided applications, use the Tools drop down menu to access the DM Control Panel. Use that to add usernames to your game request. That will let moderators know you're ready to go and your game forum can get validated.

I hate to be that person, but I don't have a choice. I am not in any position to run this game right now. I don't know when I am going to be. I wish I could tell you "check in with me in about a month", but I cannot promise that. I am not in a consistent enough mental or emotional state to run a campaign. The personal opportunity cost is too high right now. I don't want to give the false promise of something that will crash and burn right now.

I am happy that enough people showed interest in due time, but I am also ashamed for having to put this on hiatus at best, when it hadn't even truly started. Sorry for getting everyone's hopes up for nothing.

Thanks for having the strength to make the decision and let us know, so easy to just let these things fade away and string people along. look after yourself first and take all the time you need, Nyx will be prowling around somewhere when the time comes

The most important rule in gaming is not "Change the rules if they interfere with the fun of your game". The most important rule in gaming is "Real life comes first." Take care, Seeks, and take care of yourself.
