Rekindling Interest : Mutant Wars
old game: http://www.rpgcrossing.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1588 Basically, it's the same except for a few tweaks, major and minor. (weapons and powers listed are same, worlds are same, races will be completely overhauled, campaign setting is purely mutant now, no squadron) Name: Mutant Wars DM: PlatinumShadow Books: d20 Modern Core Rulebook, d20 Future (not required, but will help tremendously) open to any suggestions you may have. Setting: Post- Apocalyptic, around 3000-4000 AD (TBD), PL 8 reaching into PL 9 Mutant Wars: Many years after the Nuclear war, admist the barren wasteland that used to be a prosperous planet, one can see a figure off in the distance. But it is not the normal Human figure you are used to looking at, it seems to be disfigured, or another figure entirely. He seems to be of human shape, although he has spikes and upon closer look, scales. His name is Lizergrath (Lie ser grath) He is a Turgath and is joining a team of elite mutants to help cull the demons and mutant riff raff on many other planets. This team is headed by a human, a large human. Standing at 7 feet, with a bald head, he goes by the name, Mr. T. As a mutant, it is your job (if you choose to join the M-Elites) to follow his orders and help restore peace, to both your world and others. I'm planning for this to be relatively short, 5-6 months long, no longer than a year. Guarunteed to be fun, since i like to make situations impossible (but doable) and employ twists. Current Status: Seeing if there is enough interest. Just to let you know, the character creation will be (assuming there is enough interest) 7d6 drop lowest, floating re-roll. You will choose from races, or a cybernetic human. Further detail regarding MP and Money will be described later. DO NOT POST any rolls now or ever in this thread. When I say so, I expect a quality Background to be pm'ed to me. This is your measure of acceptance to the campaign. Hope to see you in the war room. -PlatinumShadow Last edited by PlatinumShadow; Oct 12th, 2005 at 05:03 PM. |

Yes, I have interest, but please do not let this game die. I don't know if I am a jinx, or it is just the trend here, but every modern game I have been in, the game has died quickly. Oh, and crzd, notice he said

I think there was one similar to this one where all our stats were 20s, that I was in, but the game thread he has up isn't the one that i was in, or if it is, I didn't post in it AT ALL.

oh yeah I think PS told me about that game... where the DM was Spelling or something like that?
Anyway if you are looking for a D20 Modern game you could check out Beyond the Devestation DMed by Dharkan. It's really more of a pseudo Modern game in a custom setting (I mean it uses rules from 3.5 and from d20 modern) but it takes place in a modern setting. It's similar to mkooper's Deep Down on Top in that there are many parties/players that adventure on their own but may meet up on their travels. I believe Dharkan is still looking for more players
