The concept of his ancestor being a story that his parents told him to explain why he is the way he is sounds fun. They could of noticed the ability when he was younger. Another key point of the power is that he will not always get a new ability. If and what abilities he gains is up to you, he could be a blank slate at he start with Martial Arts training. A part of this story is his quest to find things which grant him new abilities. Another point what I think is interesting is how far will I go to gain new abilities, would I consider eating the heart and brain (where the most power is found) from a human? Is that a line that Arthur will cross. (That might be too serious a topic for the game though) If you find the who concept overpowered please say and I we come up with something else. I will make some modifications to the character. Last edited by Bhelliom Rahl; Jan 2nd, 2016 at 06:43 PM. |

@GrandCommander13, Osse, BP: Irrashaimase! Welcome!
@Bhelliom Rahl: Eating hearts and brains of the human variety would be pushing it. @Osse: Not quite sold on your Research Division Chief aspect... 'forced' is a strong word. Remember, you are all starting out as C class heroes. |

I know you're saying we're starting out as C-class heroes, but, well, so did Saitama. What Fight and Athletics scores would, say, a civilian, Mumun Rider, and Sonic have? You know what? Give me Spring Moustache's scores too, because I really like him.

A civilian would have +0 or lower if you really wanted them to roll.
Mumen Rider’s would be roughly 1 or 2. It's difficult to really gauge his real ability since he went up against the Sea King who made even A classes look like C classes. Speed of sound sonic sound certainly be at cap level or a bit higher at 6 or more. The S classes will be distinguished mostly by having more stunts and refreshes than the rest. Spring Mustachio's would be 4 or 5, but with a stunt or two dedicated to defense and endurance. Last edited by grenadierman; Jan 4th, 2016 at 10:46 PM. |

Isn't the cap +8? +4 is only the cap for starting, I think. I know +8 has an adjective (I think it's "superb").
And of course I can't stop myself from thinking about skills. Are we stuck with the pyramid for our starting skills, or can we go with the columns if we'd like to? (It's basically taking two of your +1s and giving a +1 each to a +2 and a +3.) |

Kudos on what looks to be an excellent game. The show was a blast to watch.

@GC13: The cap varies from game to game. For now, +6 is the soft cap while the +8 is the hard cap. It's extremely unlikely anyone'll reach +8 or even +7 in the course of the game. During character creation I'd like you to stick with the pyramid scheme.
@Thirteen: Thanks! Does this mean you'll apply? ![]() @Felloffalot: Yup, saw it. I'll review it once I have time. @Gylther: No worries! |

Man, reading your first post I don't think you give C-class heroes enough credit.
![]() I was on the OPM subreddit for giggles and apparently there are two pages where Child Emperor develops a "scouter" for muscle mass/strength. They set a decent C-class (Red Muffler, rank 89) as 100 and it turns out that he's 4.5x as strong as a typical office worker (that is to say, assuming a typical office worker could bench press 90 pounds however many times, he could do four hundred pounds just as easily). Of course the two A-class heroes in the room are sixteen times (rank 10) and twenty-four times (rank 13) as strong as him, so there's a tall cap. I mean, holy cow, even Child Emperor is almost nineteen times as strong as him. I don't think we're working people who are filled with determination, I think we're working with people filled with varying grades of super soldier serum. Am I geeking out too much? I'm sorry, but it's just so cool. ![]() Last edited by GrandCommander13; Jan 7th, 2016 at 07:11 PM. |

The funny thing is though when he scans King and Saitama, both read as unreadable but for very different reasons.
