@ Tiax - Perhaps not flashiness, but a certain flair to a fight would be a nice touch. I think great writing will fill that niche, be the character a gaudy bard or a stoic, lumbering orge. Writing quality always prevails. Story-wise, the only demand placed upon the characters is to slay their opponents. I think invisibility can actually up the 'wow' factor of a fight, especially if both sides opt for it. Arena destruction is not out of the question, either, nor is flight or tunneling. This entire tournament is hosted by an extremely ancient and powerful dragon, so expect the arenas to be more than a simple Roman affair.

Each player will find themselves challenged throughout the game.

Interested.

A quick question though. For multi-classing, would you permit taking a third class if it was absolutely required for a prestige class? While it would be fun to play a class like a rage prophet or arcane trickster, such classes would require a minimum of two other classes to meet the requirements. I would like to know if such classes are off limits before I settle on a character concept.

Prestige classes are something I failed to consider, so in light of that I'll raise the limit to 3 classes.

Evil is allowed, but remember the point is to work together - to survive - with your team. Selling your soul to a devil is allowed, but it's such a common trope you'll need to sell it to me.

Fetchlings are also allowed.

Hmmm, I wonder what sort of amazing power that would bring? Perhaps I should have my character sell his soul to the GM as well.

OOCAfter thinking, I better apply with my old character that have no opportunity to or hide. Since he is an assassinshine.


Pitch for Application
 

Jergan looks around him and looks only one man that offer himself. Well, since Montem Ignis searches for a team, then would Jergan partner with him? Jergan silently analyze and counts the odd. So far he just shows his weapons and spellbook, but can he handle the heat of battle? But no matter, Jergan thinks that people that dare to accept the challenge must not be just some commoner, so he just let the issue slide. For now.

Jergan knows that one must show off a bit to attract Sir Dominus' attention. He decides to just use one trick, Wings of Darkness. First, he uses his mask first, so no one can see his face. Not that matter, since he disguised himself beforehand. When he finishes conjuring it, suddenly his shoulder forms bat-like wings composed from shadows and he can fly. Since he is aerial now, Sir Dominus' vision toward him should be unimpeded by others around him. And when their eyes meet, Jergan introduces himself : "Let me join the fun, Sir Dominus. And I assure you that crowd would love the show that I will give them. Oh, where is my manner? I am called Shadehunter." Jergan lets his reputation does the talk. He is an assassin that has done some high-profile killing after all.

After a short time of silence, Jergan continues : "I think most of you have heard that name called. For you that fortunate enough to never hear my name, I am quite a killer. From shadows and not blatantly open like this. But I also team player as well and able to support my team member in various tasks ahead." And then he puts his cloak to his body and disappears, just like that. While all people looking toward the direction and maybe try to look for him, he has already back to his previous seat. Without the mask, of course. He smiles to see the others confusion and wonders who will come next.

A few more questions:
For Skill Unlocks:Will they require the feat or will you gain an automatic bonus for having 5-10 ranks in a skill?

For non magic characters gaining the Combat Stamina feat for free: What constitutes a non magic character? Do you mean a character that doesn't have spells per day or a character with a class with no spells (a fighter/wizard for example). If it is the first one is the case, would characters with spell like abilities or class features like Minor Magic rouge talent count as non magic for gaining the free feat?

For Skill Unlocks - Automatic bonus for this game. I personally cannot overemphasize skill use in RPGs.

A character completely without spells by day. I think I'll take spell-like abilities case-by-case.

Atama grinned widely as the knight finished his announcement. The alchemist had originally come to this town with the intention of signing up for this tournament, as the promised reward for victory was too good to pass up. However, he had been unable to find a team that would let him on, either because they wouldn't trust a complete stranger, or because they thought he was insane, or both. Now, however, he was being offered a chance to join a team where this had no bearing, as none of the other members knew each other either. It was too perfect.

He watched as two people introduced themselves, performing a quick analysis of their capabilities, and where he would fit in with the group. From the spelbook and longsword on his belt, he surmised the first to be some type of arcane warrior. The other, who suddenly sprouted leathery wings, was a well-known assassin that Atama had heard of. Both of them would likely have strong offensive capabilities. His skills, then would be most useful for support, such as healing, an ability which both noticeably lacked.

Deciding it was time to introduce himself, he detonated a small device that produced a flash of blue light, sparks, and smoke, purely for dramatic effect, then proceeded to jump up onto the table. He gazed directly at the Dragonfire Knight with his pure white eyes, and said to him, "I, Atama Gaokashii, am worthy. Sign me up."



OOCJust to clarify, should we be making up character sheets at this point?
