I've updated my application, adding some missing information and tying it in with the prompt...and I made a slight spelling change to the character name.

Also updated with the tie-in, though given my existing background made it irresistible that was not a hard job.

Courage, you still haven't added me to the table. Is my app missing something?

You're added, what class do you plan to take after you level to 6th, by the way?

That's a great question lol. I'll need some time to look through everything but most likely a barbarian maybe? I've never played the class before so I'll have to get a better feel for it as play goes. Most likely a sort of melee Barb/fighter/ maybe cleric or pally if the party needs it. A cleric would have interesting RP aspects. (I've found religion as a way to stave my rage kind of thing.)

Interested in playing. I'll put together an app.
Quick question though, were there any indigenous people on these islands? I'm thinking of a character that is maybe descended from one of the original explorers and an indigenous tribe or something along those lines. I'm totally flexible if that doesn't fit your concept though. |

Application below! Work in Progress
Gentan Stormseeker Age: 43 Alignment: Chaotic Good Race and Level: Level 3 Moon Druid Gender: Male Proficiency Bonus: +2 Saves: Wisdom and Intelligence Languages: Common and Dwarvish Movement SPeed: 25 feet per round Background Sailor HP: 18 Str: 10 Con: 16 Wis: 17 Dex: 14 Cha: 13 Int: 8 Note: All stats were rolled using Roll 4 and drop 1, but they can be rerolled in this thread and changed without issue Character sheet link: https://www.rpgcrossing.com/profiler/view.php?id=59904 Concept: A dwarf born amongst his own people that never felt at one with his culture. Rather, he thirsted for the wind in his beard and the sun at his back. Now he is a top dwelling druid who has taken to sailing as a career. Physical Description: Standing at a little over 4 and a half feet Gentan does not cut an impressive figure when he walks into a room. While he retains the hardy build of his kin, Gentan's arms are not corded with muscles like those of a fighter. Utop his head lies a mess of long and unkempt blond hair which he keeps tied back behind his head. His beard seems similar to his hair in length and unruliness, but closer inspection shows otherwise. Tied into the dwarf's beard are small trinkets such as small pieces of driftwood, tiny pebbles, and shells which are separated at random intervals. This beard rests upon simple leather armor that allows the dwarf full range of motion not only in combat, but also in case he should be thrown overboard at some point. In his belt can be seen a large piece of driftwood that the Druid uses as a club in battle, and on his back rests a roughly constructed wooden shield, which appears to be made of a different wood than the average oaken shield. Those with a working knowledge of botany can recognize that the wood used in construction of the shield was Osage Orange wood. Personality: Of his own admission, Gentan is shy when first meeting a new acquaintance. Years of living on the outskirts of his society has made his social skills in meeting new people lacking. But fortunately for him, upon achieving a sense of comfort with someone his personality shines through. Gentan speaks with an amiable and kind voice that often rings with laughter, and is never opposed to having a long conversation with those he would call friends. However, when not in conversation Gentan can be seen finding work to keep his hands busy, a side effect of years at sea on various vessels. Whether the work be organizing equipment, fishing, scavenging for food, or keeping watch, Gentan does it with vigor. This work ethic also influences his behavior in combat. When weapons are drawn, Gentan is not one to idly stand by. As soon as is possible he will assume the form of a savage beast and assault the enemy quickly and efficiently in order to defend his allies. Background: Gentan was born within an underground Dwarven stronghold to the Ironhand clan. The Ironhand clan is well known across the land as a caste of indomitable warriors that refuse to be broken in battle. However, Gentan never fit his family lineage. He was trained in the ways of using an axe, a shield, and how to fight in a phalanx at a young age. How ever, he was never particularly gifted at these skills. And if he was being honest, he had to admit that he was downright bad at most of those. Rather, his skills lay in handling the animals in the stables and gathering mushrooms or moss for the alchemists. It was in these tasks that The young dwarf learned his aptitude for Druid craft. However, druids are not terribly common among the dwarven folk, and in the Ironhand clan they were unheard of. It was for this reason that the Ironhands granted permission for the young Dwarven man to live on the surface in order to further his skills. This was an opportunity that Gentan readily accepted. At first, moving through the forests of the surface world filled Gentan with trepidation. Yet with time, this trepidation turned to jubilation at his new found freedom. Soon the Druid was running through the land at speed using his bestial forms to their highest potential. He journeyed for many weeks, but eventually the young Druid found himself in a port town staring out at the vast ocean for the first time in his life. Of course, he had heard about oceans before and was full aware of what they were. But no tales or books could compare to that majesty that was expanding into the horizon before him. Gentan wanted to know the sea, truly experience it in it's entirety for himself. To this end, he decided to find work on one of the ships pulling in the port for provisions. It did not take long before a captain found the use of having a druid aboard their ship. Gentan could use magic to determine whether a storm was coming and warn the crew ahead of time, as well as heal those who may become injured on board. With his animal forms, he could scout the skies for any lingering threats in the water. And should the ship be attacked, his bestial battle prowess could repel pirates and Sahguan with ferocious efficiency. It was in this role that Gentan learned about the job posting promising adventure and danger, both of which were already well known to the Druid. But what piqued Gentan's interest was the rumor that the job could help uncover the fate of the aquatic dwarves the fate of whom had remained unknowned to the dwarven nation until that point. Gentan felt as if it was his duty as a dwarf to help his people solve this mystery, and if there was even a chance that he could further that goal that he was obliged to do his part. It was with this knowledge and drive that Gentan set off on his journey to his new employers. Realistic posting rate: I can easily post once a day and usually more.
