Here I'll give my reasoning on Abosol : Absol is a feared pokemon that heralds disasters, is generally hated by humans, and tends to only be catchable in locations that disasters can be found around. Has a 8% encounter rate in hoenn games, is a swarm only pokemon in diamond and pearl, is basicly only found in and around an area of Unova that is said to cause disaster to everyone who goes there ((thus the Absol)).
Basicly even when it is encounterable, it's got a real stigma too it that makes it avoid humans and vice versa. It doesn't evolve, has very high stats, has a mega form and is at best uncommon. Though really, it's more a lore thing than a game thing. |

Okay, I am going to swap out Gyarados for Milotic. If I really want one later, Magikarp are easily come by. Even if they are a PITA to level. Personally, I think a trainer of Ghost types (Ghosts that are made, not born) would/should be safe from their own Pokemon or no one would have any, ever. Besides, if anything happened to a trainer, I could picture the Ghosts turning their trainer into one of them so they can hang around with their pal forever if the accident make them one themselves. Or, perhaps the act of fighting for/protecting a trainer for as long as the trainer lives absolves any "debt" the Ghosts have, or any ties they have to the living world so that when the trainer passes on, they pass on. Some Ghosts might want to get caught then, so they could work off their debt and move on when they otherwise couldn't. Unless they're the kind of vindictive Ghosts that either avenges their Trainer's death, or simply doesn't want to leave because they're afraid of what happens after. Just keep the "creepy doll" Ghosts away from me please. I see enough of those at work. One of my co-workers set one doll with red eyes up so that "she" was looking into the manager's window and watching them work. Ugh.

Haha, in my games the pokemon are characters as much as anyone else. They will have wants, needs, desires and so on. So really it comes down to the pokemon in question. But ghost types arn't the type to worry about. Dark types are. Dark type is a bad translation of "Evil" type as it's known in japan. And most dark type moves involve some sort of foul play ((Bite)) or trickery ((Trick)) or just poor sportsmanship ((Sucker Punch)). While I won't make them EVIL. I do write dark types as more jerky, tricksters or apathetic. They are harder to train. Though never impossible. It's not unfair. Just I find the pokemon should exist as characters so they can be bonded with.
Alright I have a doll story too. One time at a friends house I was shitfaced drunk. And I was sorta left alone in her livingroom. Where I noticed a tiny little door stuck behind her couch. Alot like the little creepy door in Coraline. About half height. Anyways being a drunk a-hole my curosiety got the better of me and I decided to take a look inside. So I got in, turned the light on and found nightmare fuel. Pretty much the room's walls were just lined with half made creepy dolls. Apparently her sister used to love making them. I was, understandably, very freaked out. ^^ Edit : Cleaned up my language Last edited by PandoraAwoken; Jan 17th, 2016 at 09:55 PM. |

I think the three hardest types to raise would probably be ghost, dark and fairy. It depends though. Each pokemon is different.
Edit : Oh, and no a ghost type trainer won't "be safe" from a ghost type's effects. A ghost type trainer will just know what to do and what not to do. Like a tiger trainer is not immune to the tigers claws he just knows how to make it not scratch him. Last edited by PandoraAwoken; Jan 17th, 2016 at 10:19 PM. |

Finalized my selection of pokemon (Honedge , Nincada, Klefki) and added a private bit of info about my characters personal relationship with each.
Of course subject to DM approval just in case more then one is 'rare'. On unown, they are an oddball pokemon my character would be interested in at least seeing. But not interesting enough for me as a player to try to fight to have one. So any interaction with them, if any at all, will be best to leave in game. Also, I have a question about the tags you are using to insert the pokemon images and are you just direct linking from Bulbapedia ? I see, its just the image tag inside the tt tag. Your fine Anouris. I was going to say Klefki miiight be rare. But I decided agienst it. It's a pokemon that tracks down human keys. Not like they are going to be avoiding people.
Also I am kinda proud of my image links. |

I actually meant to ask this question way sooner, but what's your policy on egg moves? Are we allowed to have a pokemon with one or no? Also would Skarmory be considered rare? I hadn't considered it when I first put it on but I get how it could be seen as such. Also I'd like to make a note that while I will want my Rhyhirn to eventually evolve, I will NEVER want to evolve Rhydon. I really actually dislike Rhyperior and he makes me sad.

I wholeheartedly agree. They did some weird things with evolutions that gen. I think it was the generation Lickilicky was introduced also and I despise it as well. They just made such cool looking pokemon really odd. I feel they could've done far better

Rhydon is one of my all time favourite pokemon... I love his design............................................ Rhyperior barely exists in my mind. I like IDEAS of Rhyperior. But not the design. I love the rock's that fire from his hands...

Tidal Fox, are you a Shadowrun fan as well? Aztech reminds me of Aztec Technologies from Shadowrun. *shrug*
![]() Joltiks are the only sorts of ticks I'd ever think are cute. The rest of them...bleeeeech!

Ah, I had one additional question aside from my Egg Move and Skarmory questions that I just reminded myself of. You said that we get to pick the nature's of even wild pokemon. Perhaps I'm reading the wrong version but doesn't that negate the high roll chance on the Researcher's 'Trait Theory+'?
"Effect: Roll d20 and add your INT and WIS modifiers to the roll. If you roll higher then 10, you identify what Nature the pokemon has. If you roll higher than 15, you also identify what Abilities the pokemon has. If the target is Wild and you rolled higher then 20, you may pick the target’s Nature. This Feature Replaces Trait Theory." If I'm not reading the wrong supplement is their some replacement for the high roll there? Last edited by BijutsuYoukai; Jan 18th, 2016 at 09:46 PM. |

Oh wow, I had thought it was PTU this entire time. Missed the post that clarified PTA. It's been years but I recall having a number of issues with that system so I am unfortunately going to have to withdraw. Best of luck to everyone.
