Description:
A boy who appears to clearly be from the Hyuga clan. He has the distinctive white eyes that set the clan apart from all others. However he does not have the typical long brown hair instead his is a dark blue-black and short and spikey hanging down the side of his face to about his jaw line. He has long and pronounced tear-troughs running away from the bridge of his nose. His short hair reveals that that he does not bear the curse seal typical of a member of a branch family member. He wears his Konoha headband on top of his left shoulder like a pauldron. Beneath this is a dark colored t-shirt which causes the brown band of the headband to stand out.
Personality:
Knowing what his heritage is makes Tatsuo extremely confident in his abilities, too the point where he can become reckless or under estimate opponents. However like most of the ninjas in Konoha he respects his elders knowing there is much he can learn from his sensei. He will also give his respect to those who prove that they deserve it as well. Being an orphan means that he does not know what it is to have a family and so can be jealous of common family actions, hugs and pats on the shoulder, he will likely turn to avoid watching such displays to avoid the feelings they dredge up. He also has a deep rooted need to prove that he is worth of his parents lineages.
Background:
The second ninja war was hell, people were dying every day and no one knew how long they were going to last. During these terrible days is when Tatsuo's parents finally found each other. They were both assigned to the same squad, an elite counter op squad, for they were both members of distinguished clans in Konoha, his father,Isshin, from the noble Hyuga clan and his mother,Rikku, from the mighty Uchiha. Together the two of them were able to put a stop to many of the other nations attack on the village, preventing hundreds of people from become injured while they slept. During these trials his parents came to care for each other, they quickly became romantically involved with each other but hid this fact from their respective families.
The predictable out come of there relationship came rushing upon them only a couple of months into the relationship. Rikku had become pregnant. In their minds there was only one clear option, after they had finished their last patrol the couple disappeared into the forest. Knowing that their disappearance would not be easily missed the couple fled to the no man's land that had been created between the larger warring countries. Using the power of their Dōjutsu the couple was able to avoid running into any one from any of the villages knowing that they would be targets no matter who came upon them. And so Tatsuo came into the world, in a small village that had not been completely destroyed by either side as of yet but had been abandoned by those whom had once lived there.
Within days Tatsuo's Byakugan had shown itself, and both of his parents were thrilled. However the happiness was not to last. Within six months of his birth the war finally caught up to the family. While held up in a cave in the forests of no man's land the couple was attacked by a squad of sand ninja who were on a scouting mission toward the land of fire. The fighting was brutal and his parents put up a hell of a fight, but they were out numbered and the Sand ninja were using the poison of Chiyo to great effect by this point in the war. While his parents were able to fend off and kill the patrol that came upon them they did not make it out unscathed and this would be their doom. The poison's of Chiyo did not take long to seep away Tatsuo's parents strength, and by the time they realized what had happened it was too late. The tried to make it back toward Konoha, trying to at least find someone to care for Tatsuo. They never did make it back to the village, they did however make it back within the patrol boarders of the land of fire.
Ataru was out on a scouting mission watching for enemy movements close to the boarder when she heard it. The sound of a baby's cry. No out of place in the war that engulfed his nation but still rather out of place for the section of forest he was moving through this day. Ataru quickly went to where he had heard the noise coming from and stumbled upon Tatsuo's family. His father lay dead one arm still about Tatsuo and his mother, Rikku. His mother clung to her last breaths, they came roughly but she yet lived. She told Ataru of who they were and begged her to take their son back to the village, to raise him to be a true Shinobi worthy of praise.
Ataru was moved by the story and took the child, knowing the village would need all the children they could get to help rebuild after the wars end. Knowing know who Tatsuo's parents were, Ataru built a small pyre and burned there bodies to ashes to guarantee that the unique bloodline possessed by both of Tatsuo's parents would not fall into enemy hands. Returning to the village Ataru did not take the child to either of the families he was descended from knowing that his birth might just cause a rift to open between them, which could not be afforded at this critical point of the war. Ataru instead went straight to the new Hokage, Danzo, informing him on what Ataru had found in the middle of the forest. Danzo immediately saw the potential the village would gain by having a child with both of the prominent kekkei genkai out of the hand of the clans, especially if the either of the clans turned against the village and had to be wiped out.
The decision was quickly reached to raise Tatsuo quietly and out of sight, not revealing his existence until it was time for him to train at the academy. This lead Tatsuo to be raised in a manner similar to those members of the Anbu root. Not everything was the same, he was not sent on missions or introduced to the system and Tatsuo was informed by Ataru exactly who his parents were, giving the young boy a great sense of pride whenever he heard stories of the noble families heroes. Ataru saw too it that Tatsuo did receive some training though and began to learn to manipulate his chakra as well as the basics of taijutsu. When Tatsuo came of age he was put into the academy and showed quickly that he excelled. He graduated on time and was put into his current team, ready to prove he was worth of his parents lineages.
Writing Sample:
Tatsuo was sitting in the back row of the academy class room listening in a rather bored way as the sensei was explaining the fundamentals of chakra manipulation. The academy graduation was not very far away and he was really looking forward to finally putting his skills to a more practical use than practicing transformation and body replacement techniques in front of the class with the sensei. A quick look about the room told him most of the others in the class were feeling much the same way.
The sensei must have realized that the students were having trouble paying attention as well because he quickly got to the end of the point he was making and decided it was time for the class to show him what they had been learning. Tatsuo stood up and joined the rest of the class as they lined up to practice the Kawarimi no Jutsu. He heard one of the girls in the class behind him complain saying that she hated having to put the rabbit they used in harms way in this manner. Tatsuo just shook his head back and forth a little bit, barely enough to be noticed. I can't believe that these girls. What could happen to the rabbit in the classroom.
As the sensei had each person preform the move Tatsuo watched his classmates, he noted that several of them were able to do a great impersonation while switching the rabbit before getting hit with the flour ball the sensei had thrown. Tatsuo made note of them, hoping that when the time came to be divided into teams he would end up with those who could defend themselves. Tatsuo ignored the ones he knew did not have enough skill to pass the final exam and would be repeating the course.
However there was one girl who was very close to being able to preform the technique correctly, so after she had made her first attempt Tatsuo walked up and got in line behind her. "You almost had it that time." Tatsuo gave her a smile of encouragement before continuing, "If you like I would be happy to practice with you to make sure you get it right before the final exam."
"Thanks but I think I will just get my older brother to help me, he's already a chunnin." She said to Tatsuo. The last point said such a way that it could only be taken as bragging. Tatsuo nodded but moved back in the line away from the girl her last barb cutting a little deeper than she probably meant to but he let it go all the same. This would hardly be the last time he would be reminded that he was alone.
Interest, I really don't have time for another game but God I've wanted to try this game forever, and I already have a character made from an ad a while ago.
Hey sock there's part of your advert that still refers to your last game ie at one point you mention were from Konoha and another you mention Ataru Sensei.
This is a homebrew naruto game using a homebrew D20 system (and not modern D20). Created by me it is very homebrew and open for creative ideas. I am looking for 3 players (for a one team), You will each be starting as a recently promoted Genin in Konohagakure Village of the hidden leaf in the land of fire. Im looking for people who have a general/excellent knowledge of the naruto world. You are only limited by your creativity with regards to your character. (All material from the naruto universe, including filler and manga will be allowed)
also think outside of the box (i will prioritise creative ideas first and will give some inspiration below), You can even learn to become a sage. You can also make up your own clan if you like as well (Im really looking for out of the box idea, eg: character idea for similar to what im looking for creative wise).
