Hey Sockfox, I have a question about some of the Birth Traits. When it says "+1 to (Attribute) rolls" does that mean any roll that has the same attribute within the equation get's a +1 to that roll?

Also almost done with my character sheet =)

Its for all rolls except damage rolls, eg: Agile Grace gives +1 to Dex rolls and +1 to Dodge defence.
So the +1 to dex rolls affect the following.
Fast Fist Taijutsu (attack roll), Tool attack using Dex (Attack roll), Athletics (Dexterity roll), Stealth checks, and Iniation check for starting combat.
It doesnt affect damage, and the +1 to dodge defense doesnt stack with any +1 to Dexterity rolls.

Hope this makes sense.

Also reminder to everyone, that Anywhere it says rank + all skills, you add your rank to this (Eg: Genin = +1 rank) so add +1 to rolls as mentioned.

Name: Aiden Kurzani aka Kurza

Age:11

Description: Aiden is small for his age and is easily overlooked by others. His skin is a greyish tone of blue that is if one took the time to notice. Due to his obvious difference which is brought out under emotional or stressful times he avoids others. He tends to wear loose fitting clothes and can be seen reading or tinkering with something.

Personality: He is a lonely and quiet boy who keeps to himself but is well known for his lone wolf tendency. Reading or tinkering come naturally but if one really needs to find him he is usually out practicing by himself. Coming from his parentage and upbringing he prefers solitude as it focuses his mind and lets him commune with the natural world. Here he can practice his forms without the stares that he usually gets.


Background: Aiden was born in Sunagakure to his loving parents but life can never be simple when the chakra decides to make you special. His mother died giving birth to him and his father to keep them safe moved back to the Land of Iron. Trained as a swordsman and samurai his father knew that the shinobi life would be difficult for him and his family. As head of his clan, he knew his enemies would use his grief against him. Fearing what would happen if his family fell into the wrong hands, he moved them to the land of samurai. Here Aiden would spend the first few years of his life until the evidence of his unique blood became to apparent and they were forced to move again.

At age 4 his father decided that to protect the clan and their secrets he would build a new village and bring all the best swordsmen to train there. He called it the Hidden Village of Metal and high up in the mountains nestled in tunnels and below ground the village was born. Only those invited knew of its existence. The Lands of Earth's leader knew of it as a rumor and a legend that the ground under his feet might actually house a village.

Life was good for the small but strong village. Days turned into weeks and weeks to months. Time was an ally because it meant training never stopped. From the time he could walk and the other children as well training was intense and focused. The saying went that to succeed you needed to face many trials. It was a common belief that trials folded and sharpened the mind much like a smith would fold steel to make swords.

Training in the art of swords started at age 4 as well as his father taking him aside to remind Aiden that nature had made him special. As time went on Aiden was able to control his body better and was just starting to feel like he could take on the sword school's exam for acceptance. Little did he realize that fate had other plans.

Four years had passed and the Village was doing great and through middle men and scouts demands for weapons and other goods were flooding in. With an influx of wealth and people wondering about this company that sold such high quality items that the head of Sunagakure sent a request out asking any Sunagakure natives to return. Eager for his son to experience life outside the Village Aiden's father sends him back to Sunagakure.

Three long years in a land that's foreign and a constant reminder of his differences. While he excels at his studies he is still a young boy alone in a strange place. To say people fear him might be accurate because when he loses his control its a good time to get out of his way. It's good that nature forgives destruction because there has been a few times where some poor tree didn't see it coming.

As an elemental taijutsu user its hard to not on some level be impressed when you see the small loner not all bundled up but sweating and happy. Body all glowing as he throws a punch that doesn't seem like much until you see the board shatter.


Writing Sample: In a field there stands a young boy shirtless with a sword in each hand. as he moves the dance of swords becomes apparent. He is happy as the blades sing and a trance seems to fall over him.

Around him there is a steady flood of people showing up to watch. While the boy may be a loner it's hard for him not to draw a crowd. Finishing up he hears the calls coming from behind him.

He turns around and sees his friends because even a lone wolf needs a pack at times. Masashi Shi and Kaze are three guys he can count on. Life has been hard but these three helped him adjust to his new life. It was nice to have friends who weren't afraid to train with him.

"Hey guys I thought we weren't meeting until later. While you guys are here would you be willing to test out my skills. I promise I won't break any bones but least it gives Masashi some practice as the medical ninja."

The boys smile at the memories of all the times they had heard that over the years. They each pull out a needle and look at Aiden then with a smile they dart off. It was their own form of tag and in three years they had yet to get Aiden. The goal was simple hit Aiden with a needle. Between his swords and his chakra they had not been able to get him yet.

"Here we come Aiden we have been working on our clone jutsu. Try and stop all of us now."

The boys split off in three directions and use their jutsu to create a few clones of themselves each. They try to coordinate the attack and as they throw the needles Aiden stops moving and tosses the swords in the air. Calling on the chakra around him he starts to change colors as he focuses on the different needles and their different flight paths. He knows he can only redirect them in such a short time. So he reaches deep inside himself and using his chakra he pushes the needles away from him as he dodges out of the way. As he rolls out of the way he throws his own needle that he is flowing his chakra into and the needle just seems to vanish as it flies towards the intended target.

A stump that now has a ring of needles in it is the target and his chakra pushes the needle to the center.

He smiles and says,""It looks like ramen is on you guys again."

Powers:

Main- Chakra augmentation: The ability to manipulate the chakra in his body so that he can cause himself to run faster, jump higher or hit harder.

Utility Power: Chakra Absorption- Allows the user to absorb charka from his enemies and use it to fuel his taijutsu.

Tool: Katana (Charka Dance)- A form of kejutsu taught by the head of the Village of Metal. Works in conjuction with Chakra absorption to allow for better chakra flow through the blade.

Would absorbing chakra both from an opponent and natural energy be a viable power?

well chakra would be fine, though natural energy is not really a concept a brand new genin would know or have inkling to, eg: imagine a brand new genin having a myakugon sharigan.

Powers added and given his young age while he still maintains metal release his powers will deal more around his birth traits and channeling chakra to boost his skills.
