Name: Quintus Rice
Species: Human Class: Noble 3/Soldier 1 Appearance: Tall and lean, Quintus is generally wearing a sly grin and has a mischevious twinkle in his eye. A fan of jests and witty banter, he often puts others to ease by seeming more of a fop than he truly is. His hair is dark and his eyes a smokey grey that can turn cold when he is angered. He favors dark pants and boots with colorful shirts. His favorite overcoat is white with grey accents. His pistol is usually concealed within the coat, which he removes in the event of a challenge. He also carries a pair of fencing gloves tucked into his belt and a pair of knives sheathed on his left forearm. Personality: Quintus is an outgoing and generally social sort. He enjoys meeting people and the sharing of good-natured jests. His nobility occasionally comes off as arrogance. He has been described as Friendly, Well-Mannered, Erudite, Polite, Mischievous, Charming, and Calm. Quintus was raised a child of privilege and standing and as such does not accept bad manners and being wronged unjustly. He can be vengeful. Character History: Quintus is the child of nobility form the Core planet of Corlag. Brought up amidst the constant political struggles of that system, he developed a rapier wit and a cautious confidence. Educated in the finest academy on his home-world, he came under the tutelage of Swordmaster Hemmish Olren. His tutor in the fine art of swordplay, Master Olren stood in as a father during much of Quintus' formative years when his father was to busy with affairs of business or politics. Master Olren sparked a certain independent streak in Quintus. This desire for adventure and excitement broke from the strict tradition of his family. He left home at 20 and made his way to the outer rim, where his skill at negotiation, and his competent sword skills, made him quite popular in mercenary circles. Working his way up through the underground gladiatorial scene he drew the enmity of a rival swordsman. Logan Vindictus became angered during a challenge match and delivered a cut to Quintus' chest as they were breaking to rest. The riposte to which ruined Logan's right eye and any chances at becoming a true master of the blade. Logan had enough friends and credits to make Quintus' life difficult enough that he thought it prudent to throw in with a mercenary group. Not that he fully trusts that the other Fangs will have his back, he is willing to take his time to both earn their trust, and allow them to earn his. Character Specific Writing Sample: WIP

Name: Shea Quazeem
Species: Anzati Class: Jedi 4 (Jensaarai Tradition) Appearance: Shea is of an average height for a human, standing at about 5'10 with a muscular build. He has flowing brown hair that he keeps in a loose bun, but when undone extends down to midback. He wears a long braided goatee as well. His weapon of twice is a pair of twin black bladed lightsabers. Personality: WIP Character History: At nearly 125 years old Shea has spent much of his life wandering and in search of the best luck to eat. In his youth, which admittedly is a relative concept for the Anzati, he studied the Force in the Jensaari Tradition. While he continues to find his own way through his study of the Force, he does not have a master anymore. While chasing a particularly tantalizing prey he found himself on Taris 20 years ago. The underbelly of this world has continued to sate his appetite, and so he has continually found work and a reason to stay. The last year or so, he found the Fangs appreciated his particular skills and talents. Character Specific Writing Sample: WIP

I'm considering playing the droid character. Would I have access to a level 4 droid? (Gladiator or battle droid) or are you thinking more like a non-combatant protocol droid?

Spizzow - Let me know what direction you were leaning towards. I was thinking of setting a credit limit for droid creation. I have been reading through "Scavengers Guide to Droids" I would like something functional and independent, not tied down to a masters command. I was looking at the IG series, but they are a little advanced. Bounce some ideas off of me and we will see where we end up. We are looking at level 4 meatbags, so try to keep that in mind.
Kevin, Darays - Thanks for the interest. I will update the table in a few minutes.

If you're willing for me to be a combat droid I definitely want to go that route. And certainly something more or less intelligent. an IG-100 would be cool. Or maybe an HK assassin droid. Honestly looking at the same book you are, I may make a custom droid based on a battle droid chassis. It's my I have to work on MLK Day while my wife and kids are off.... Lame.bed time. I'll look some tomorrow and let you know a better decision. I like the idea of playing a droid and using the quarks to get in some nice RP.
How do you feel about a IG-110 Lightsaber droid, I think it's in the clone wars saga book.

If you look at page 186 of the core rule book it explains it a bit better. Just follow the steps in Option 1. You would be looking at a 4th Degree Medium Droid. This is the first time I have really looked into making a droid, I have always just used the stock ones

That sounds like a good plan to me. I'm interested in building my own, so that I can change and grow with the group. I need a jedi to accompany me to the shop every time I'm trying to buy a new part for myself lol!
GM: Sorry I know you paid 10k credits for that new chassis, but the guy ripped you off and sold both your legs for parts while you were decommissioned. I should have some time tonight to play Star wars legos: build your own droid. I'll create my app at the same time, I kind of like the idea for rolling for quarks and then working them into the character.

Interested. I've got a couple ideas so trying to get a better bead on what kind of missions you're planning.
One is a tracker/scout. Ranged combat, high perception, mechanic skills. The other is a force pilot. The question though is how much use a pilot-focused character would be. |

There will be an airspeeder and possibly a light transport if the story moves off planet for a mission or two, so there will be need for a pilot, but I don't think that in such a small party specializing in it would be a good idea. A tracker/scout that is a decent pilot would be better suited in my opinion.
That being said, there are some famous race events held on Taris...

The more I'm thinking on it the more I'm liking this pilot idea. I can just put less of their actual stats towards Piloting. I'm gonna make a Star Wars pandora station and follow the wiki hole to see what shakes loose in my head.

Okay there doesn't seem to be a consensus on this so figure I'll ask.
Can a Miraluka read a computer screen? There are alot more leaning yes than no, and personally I agree with them because Miraluka blend in as humans throughout the galaxy. It's hard to blend in in such a technological setting if you can't read a computer terminal. |

No they cannot. They are blind to all wavelengths of light. That would preclude all forms of digital projection.
