Got a Droid character going. Here's the link. Also, any help with the character sheet would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think either you're using the wrong edition or I am. The sheet you have uses skill ranks. The book I'm using has Trained/Untrained.

I kinda have one of you're any good at dealing with bbcode. I modified a table-sheet from a final fantasy game a long time ago and when a system doesn't have a good sheet, or I just feel like fine-tuning one for myself, I used that.
Here's the version I used for my bounty hunter character. |

I found one in excel format. Although I can't upload it, I did convert it to PDF format and attached that. I can always change the excel spreadsheet, and convert again as needed.

Armor/Ref Defense: If you have armor you use your armor's bonus instead of your Heroic Level unless you have the soldier talents related to armor. Also you listed 'Light Armor' built in. There are specific armor materials to choose. Based on the cost I'm guessing Quadanium Shell(+3 armor, +4 max dex). So you'd be better off with no armor(+4) unless you upgrade to Quadanium Plating(+5, 2500c) or Durasteel Plating(+6, 3600c). Considering the cost, no armor is your best option.
Fortitude Defense: Your listed Fortitude Defense is correct but for the wrong reason. You put 4 into Fortitude Defense in your armor section which should be under Max Dex. Will Defense: Your Will should be 16. 10 + Class(1) + Wis(1) + Heroic Level(4). Use Computer: Isn't adding your Skill Focus bonus, which is another +5. Weapon Damage: Add half of your heroic level(+2) to all weapon damage. Damage Threshold: Is equal to your Fortitude Defense barring any special bonuses. Feats: Unless I'm missing something you're missing two feats. You get a feat from Heroic Level 1, Heroic Level 3, Scoundrel Level 2, and Scoundrel Level 4. You seem to be going for a mix of sniper and techie, so a few recommendations: Careful Shot(+1 atk on aim)/Weapon Focus(+1 atk with weapon group), Tech Specialist(allows you to build and install special mods into equipment), Precise Shot(no penalty shooting into melee) Talent: This could be your preference as opposed to an error. You have the Trace talent which lets you use Use Computer to Gather Info if you have access to a computer network. You also chose Gather Info as a trained skill. If you didn't mean to double up a nice alternative for what you seem to be going for is Master Slicer(reroll Use Comp checks to improve access, take better) or Security Slicer(don't need a security kit, which are super illegal to have unless you are law enforcement or a licensed security expert, to disable security systems and increase safety net from 5 to 10). |

Eh, it's an uncommon game system so even I had to reread various sections to make sure I wasn't imagining things. And I devour game systems like delicious cookies.

We are having a bit of a heatwave here, in the mid 70s today. As much as I am sure most people in the north are tired of the snow I am tired of being hot all the time, we only get 3-4 weeks of sweater weather a year in southern California. I know that seems like bragging, but it isn't, I do not like the heat at all.
Well, back to the topic at hand. There is another source that you can use for sheets, Myth-Weavers.com they have a saga sheet that works fairly well. I haven't use that site beyond making characters, so I am not endorsing it or its contents in any other way. It is just another option that I wanted to put out there if people were having a hard time finding alternates. Aximus' assessment is sound, and this system is a bit janky in that in most cases not having armor is more beneficial than having it.

Trust me when I say it doesn't sound like bragging to someone like me. I'm in NY and whenever I hear someone complain about the cold I just look at them with an expression of 'Are you new?'. I'd rather deal with the cold than the heat. If you're cold you can put on an extra layer of clothing. There's only so much you can take off before the police show up to have a word with you.
In defense of the system, most light armors in Star Wars aren't going to do much against the kind of weaponry being thrown around. What hope does a padded flight suit have against a blaster rifle? Or a lightsaber? Better to avoid the shot than hope your armor takes the brunt. Armor's major advantage is any built-in capabilities and/or the bonus to Fortitude, which also increases your Damage Threshold so that a hit isn't debilitating. Personally I find this an interesting take on armor in a high-tech setting, although I'd also prefer that armor didn't override a higher Heroic level by default. Putting on a Blast Helmet and Vest shouldn't make an experienced smuggler more vulnerable unless they're also very dependent on mobility(dex 22+). |
