I never really played a monk in 3.5 or pathfinder, but I liked how the style feats enhanced them a bit, but never playing one, I guess I never really got to see them in action. I did love what Pathfinder did with the a lot of the other classes. As much as I loved 3.5, Pathfinder enhanced the classes to a point where you really did get something new every level. In 3.5 there were a few levels, unless you were a spellcaster, where you really didn't get anything new except for higher saves, some skill points, and maybe a higher BAB.

Stylistically, I've always loved them, but you had to get multiple 18s for them to be effective. Always great to roll play though.

I usually gravitated towards, rogues or fighters, but it really depended the character concept for me. Though I found them interesting, I just never really had a desire to build a monk.

Name: Meldolliel Torabrinas
Race: Wood Elf Background: Criminal Class Ranger Favourite Enemy: Goblinkind and Humans Gender: Female Alignment: NG Living in a forest between two human settlements, Meldolliel turned to the life of a highway robber which did her well for decades until adventurers arrested her. In prison, she had one book she read over and over: it was he story of the Gundren Rockseeker's rise and fall, the last chapter missing. When she finally was released for her crimes, she decided to find the hero she read about. When she did, he convinced her to turn over a new leaf and abandon crime. She's still working on that. Hi, I've been playing dnd for a few months now. Started with 5e. This is my first ranger. I never played a ranger before. Never got the appeal so figured a beginnings mod would be great to try it out. Never played Lost Mines before. What I'm going for with Meldolliel is a person seriously trying to not just reform despite overwhelming greed but trying to get to grips of being out of prison and rebuilding her life. She has to unlearn all the learned behavior she picked up in jail. I haven't thought of where she is going personality or level-wise because I want the things around her to shape her as she finds her new way of life. Has the deadline for applications been changed and/or have you chosen any players/character types yet?

Deadline is in eight and a half hours. I have a short list of a few more players than I will accept. I will be re-reading all applications at the deadline time in case there are more or existing ones are improved. Still time to give your character that extra little bit that could get you in

I've ran this as a DM before but never played and would love to, but I would understand if you didn't want someone with knowledge of the game beforehand. Would you not want me as a player?

Prior knowledge does take away from it a bit I find.
Anyhoo, applications are now closed. I will review all applications and post a list of accepted players soon ![]() ![]() |
