The Glamour medallion is kinda like a partial Polymorph and Proof against detection. It literally transforms you physically into a teenage human of average height and physical ability. While under the effects of the medallion, Any physical stat that you have that is over 15 will be reduced to 15. If you wish to put more effort into an action and use your full stat, it will deactivate the medallion.

Oh, wait. It's a physical medallion? For some reason, I thought that the various creatures developed the ability to blend in a while ago. That's how I wrote my app. Do I need to go back and rewrite it? And are the medallions given to them by the school or by their families?

Hm, follow-up question: Are the amulets uniform in appearance or can they look like some other piece of jewelry? I can imagine some high school fashionistas absolutely loathing the idea of a big, gaudy, 1970s retro medallion clashing with their look.

What dbaque said, at it's least, when the medallion is active it also vanishes similar to a piece of armor when a person uses an alter self spell

So, I could edit my app to say that she was simply wearing her medallion, which allowed her to change shape? Also, when did these medallions come into being? My character's backstory has a family stretching back many years. Could they have used magic to craft such medallions for so many years, or is that not in keeping with the idea you had for this world?
