Application to solve all of Tarns troubles.
Name: Eldrog Claspren
Race: Dwarf Alignment: LN Class: Rogue Description: Nice stout dwarf coming in at 5' high and around 150lbs. He has grown out his Reddish Black hair nicely and has it braided into a pony tail in the back. His beard comes out and curves down around his mouth to frame a nice full beard. His piercing black eyes are always watchful and moving to catch all they may. Personality: Eldrog enjoys the background. He isn't one to jump up and take the lead but, would rather stalk around the back and see what he may find throughout backrooms, drawers, bags. Not looking for fortune, he is very interested in knowledge. Background: Eldrog was born in the city of Tarnus to a pair of Blacksmiths. Both of his parents have a moderately successful shop and his two older brothers are following in their footsteps. Eldrog on the other hand, was never interested in shaping steel, he has alwas had an interest in shaping the world. One way he has found to shape the world was through subterfuge. Early on, Eldrog always seemed to go places he wasn't supposed to, not for monetary gain but for knowledge and he learned that people in authority always had a need for the knowledge he found. With that, he has followed a path of criminal activity that has helped benefit the authorities as well as others with helpful knowledge. |

Name: Ennis Lang
Race: Human Alignment: Chaotic Good Class: Kineticist (Kinetic Knight) Description: Ennis stands just shy of five feet tall, with lean, wiry muscle built onto a petite frame. She keeps her dark brown hair tied up in a somewhat messy bun. Ennis has tan skin and large, violet eyes. Personality: Ennis is, by and large, a well-meaning girl, but she struggles to express herself through any means other than angry shouting, with the occasional foot stomp or shoulder punch. When there doesn't seem to be anyone or anything to direct anger at, she becomes awkward and easily flustered. Ennis prefers to approach problems head-on, but she's not entirely without a sense of subtlety. She would rather try and resolve an issue once and for all than try to work around it--even if that sometimes means making things uncomfortable for a while before they can get better. Background: The Lang family has been in Tarn for nearly a thousand years, the owners of a ramshackle inn a ways north of Tarnus. As there is rarely enough travel in this part of Tarn to keep an inn afloat and a family fed, they have have also run a number of other businesses out of the inn throughout the generations--many of them now defunct. At present, the Langs are a rather large family, usually outnumbering their guests. As the youngest and smallest of five siblings, Ennis has always struggled with being overlooked--especially as most of the other Langs are noisy, boisterous, or outgoing in various ways. She has long since concluded that the best solution to this problem is to be the loudest and angriest person in the room. She has also found that climbing on top of things is often a useful tactic as well. Ennis' frequent outbursts may be off-putting to many patrons of the inn, but not any more so than any of her other siblings, so her parents have not made much effort to change her behavior. Still, they have tried to help her find positive outlets for her anger, from chopping wood to exterminating vermin. Ennis learned to fight from her sister and her middle brother, and it was during this training that she awoke to a strange power. It proved quite effective at clearing rats from neighbors' cellars, but also at clearing everything from those cellars. The Langs' extermination business got fewer and fewer requests; the last straw seemed to be when Ennis accidentally collapsed a wall (which she maintains was poorly constructed, but that claim doesn't seem to have restored any good will). Her sister and older brother adapted fairly well to the change, finding other uses for their time and talents, but while Ennis manages to keep busy with chores, she's been growing increasingly restless for the past year or two. Her power aches to be used, but she can't seem to find a good use for it. When she heard of a missing person case, she jumped on it, with perhaps more excitement than was really appropriate given the situation. Post Availability: I'm usually online Monday through Friday, 8-11 PM central standard time. My availability on weekends is a bit sporadic but I can usually get in a post somewhere along there. I can post at least twice a week, possibly more depending on what else is going on (both in the RP and in my life).

Okay, I have enough applications to draw a party from, if they all reach a state of completion. I am setting the deadline for November 30th for people to get their character concepts and backgrounds done or for people to throw their hat into the ring. I should be finished completing the villages info by tonight, then everyone should have plenty to work their own background into (though there are quite a few non-natives here).

Updated my app with a background; sorry for the delay. A monk definitely isn't what would immediately come to mind for an investigation-oriented game, but I think it could be interesting.
Best of luck everyone!

Wasn't sure if you meant to include availability in the same post as the app, or separately, so I figured I'd be safe and do both: I'm usually online Monday through Friday, 8-11 PM central standard time. My availability on weekends is a bit sporadic but I can usually get in a post somewhere along there. I can post at least twice a week, possibly more depending on what else is going on (both in the RP and in my life).

Sorry for the delay, finished what should be the only background information on the realm needed. Afterall any character from Golarion, Eberron or even earth could migrate into this realm.

Will be posting a character tonight. Sounds interesting and the shoutouts to your DM style have me very interested.
How would a half-trained paladin concept hit ya?

![]() NAME: Sirus Maori Alo Infe RACE: Human (13 years old, 107 Pounds, 5 Ft) ALIGNMENT: Lawful Good (Deity Andoletta) CLASS: Paladin (Legate archetype) DESCRIPTION: Sirus is a bright young man barely into his teens. Gangly as youth are he airs a confidence when he walks. His brown eyes and mousey brown hair are almost always obscured by books and his small yet thick half-round glasses. As a student under the teaching of Andoletta he is always seen in his black robes covering his armor and a thin willow walking stick in his hand. PERSONALITY: Sirus’ charm comes in his lack of it, or rather a lack in general social understanding. His years of pouring over books and tomes has left a timidity about him that while aggravating to few, is pleasantly honest to most. He is a shy boy unsure of his place in this world, but sure in the Grandmother Crow and her comforts. BACKGROUND: Sirus was just at the age of eight when his parents shipped him off to Grayce in the hopes he would return a strong just knight. After all he came for the Alo Infe! A grand lineage set to be disgraced by this bookworm with no love for the gods or their honored knights. It was an old woman, a Oracle by her looks, that suggested the hamlet town held a chapel that could train the boy without the prying eyes of his parent’s friends, who were awaiting his slip towards some mediocre magi’s life. So with this a carriage was called and his goodbyes were short lived and half-hearted. Upon arrival he was surprised at how well he was received by his new orphanage home. It was a small cramped housing cared for by the entire village. Each day he would walk his few minutes to the chapel for his daily learnings. This was a place his thirst for knowledge was nurtured and treated as important as sword prowess or horse-riding. Though the days of learning the pageantry of knighthood were still around, the third day of each week to be exact, he did not mind it nearly as much. As the children grew so did the rift between those who took to books and those who took to sword. Sirus found his name shortened to “Sir” by the other boys, a ridiculous play on his proclivity to behave like an old man. It was this effort to avoid confrontation and danger that thrust him out of Grayce and Galorian itself! One day as everyone had rode to the lake to fish he had an especially rough bout of teasing from Elrion, the tallest child at the chapel. Sirus finally stood up for himself shouting back and was pushed into the rivers sweeping rapids. He grabbed desperately at anything to bring him to land when his hand hit a rock that seemed to pulse waves around it. He climbed out of the rivers torrent to find a much more peaceful lakeside next to him. He trudged back to the chapel but after hours could find nothing he had ever seen in his life. A year passed for Sirus in this new land, unsure of why he came to it but intent to see the Crows purpose in his life he has stayed. Working in a small bookstore for food scrapes and lodging, and of course all the books he can get his hands on. It was an old woman in the market that told him of Tobias Woodwurm’s predicament. It was that same night he packed all his meager belongings and headed out to learn more. I am sure I will find something to worry about before the deadline but you get the gist of it.
