Name: Askan Gender: Male Race: Elf (Darkvision, Fey Ancestry) Occupation: Cobbler (lol) [tack hammer, box of nails, 3 pairs of new boots, common clothes] Ability Scores: 11 Str, With +2 racial modifier14 Dex, 8 Con, 9 Int, 10 Wis, With +1 from bond12 Cha HP: 3, AC: 12, Init: +2, Speed: 30 Physical Quirk: Missing teeth (omg) Personality Quirk: Rigid Bond: Kassidy - if that's ok with @purplerook (Cha) Ylfa - already discussed with player (Cha) Appearance: Askan has a lithe build. He's sinewy but not especially strong. True to his fey blood he has handsome features. Unfortunately an old accident with the back-bouncing tack hammer left him missing his front teeth. He keeps his long hazel hair free and he wears simple clothes usually complete with an apron. Personality: Askan is stubborn. Already as a child he decided that all he wanted was to create the best footwear ever. He practiced daily, and even losing some of his teeth didn't take away his drive. As soon as he reached adulthood and his parents could no longer hold him back he left his home to settle in one of the nearby human cities and open his cobbler shop there. (Elves are so slow in everything, they don't need new boots for decades. And he wanted to create many-many boots... and shoes, and slippers, and sandals...) Why are you in Pendle?: He arrived to Pendle a couple of years ago to set up his shop here. At first business went poorly but slowly word of his high quality work spread and now he's a recognized craftsman of the settlement. Is there a person in the Pendle area that you care about?: There's not many the loner cobbler considers friends. Ylfa is one of them. Also, despite of her distant personality, he kind of got used to Dawn standing (and sneezing) across his shop, selling her spices every now and then. He's on good terms with Maisy the locksmith, but he thinks she doesn't take her profession seriously enough. Bond with Ylfa: As a plumer Ylfa was a returning customer of Askan's for a while. She was satisfied with the elegant, still sturdy leather boots the elf was capable of making. His work withstood the harsh environment of the woods. One thing bothered her tough. Askan had some pleasant facial features but it was all ruined by his missing front teeth. She was afraid many would avoid his shop just because of that. She convinced Askan to only smile at would-be customers with his mouth closed lest he scare them away. It's... not an easy message to convey especially to someone as rigid and stubborn as Askan. But her cunning, smart tongue somehow managed to break the ice and the elf even started to utilize her advice, winning a few more customers he's grateful for ever since. In exchange Askan improving her Dextaught her a few knacks that he learned practicing his own profession but that he imagined could be utilized for pillow-making too. Actually, Morpheus I planned out from the rolls, they only made sense really the one way. Joseph just sort of fell into place because of the earlier character of Adriano and it does seem his clearly better overall rolls are sort of oddly distributed with a high strength and low constitution though he has 3 other good rolls.

@penbeast0 It looks like Dawn and Morpheus share a mutual ennui of Pendle--enough for a bond, perhaps?

Sorry, I had asked Adriano when getting permission to use him as part of my 2nd character application and he responded positively.

O2CXt3 and all,
My apologies. I'm overcommitted on games and Real World stuff is kicking my ass. I am going to withdraw from this game now.

With purplerook withdrawing, I'm now in need of another character to bond with. Anyone in the Market?

@Mason, Ylfa and Askan may have a bond if you can think up a way our enthusiastic cobbler could have helped the dwarf lady with her dexterous skills. |

Less than 48 hours to go!
Still time for any last minute applications ![]() Depending on how many more applications we get, I'm tempted to just let everyone into the funnel (maybe split into two groups). We'll see how it goes, and I'll give people an update on Monday.

So the plan is to let them all in and just be more evil and murderous to cull the herd eh?

![]() Mostly it's because picking applications is so hard - I'm curious to see how everyone does ![]() But we'll see. I still haven't made up my mind yet and there is time for more applications!
