Fenrus exits the café picking at a piece of chicken stuck in this his teeth. Looking at the scene, he starts to turn away and then, seeming to rethink the situation, turns and walks over to the pile of belongings laying in the roadway.

"My goodness, what a terrible mess and you folks look like you can use a helping hand." He speaks in a soothing voice and has a slight smile on his face as he reaches the first pile of belongings.

"Here let's get you possessions together and back into you wagon." He bends down and picks up clothing and what looks like bedding and moves toward the wagon with his loan.

As he walks his hands are busy going though the clothes feeling for any valuables or coins, all the while smiling at the couple.

Precious Balance is getting a change of scenery. The players are 'plainswalking' to another part of the multiverse, which means it isn't taking place in Ravnica anymore.

Furthermore... I'm going to be looking for two 3rd level characters to continue the adventure in "The Forge of Fury". Characters are allowed to be designed using any of the WotC approved resources. Backstory campaign setting is your call since it isn't likely to have any impact on the route your character will travel.

We'll put a suspense date of August 21, next Sunday. If you're interested have your application in by then. Posting rate seems to be once a week, maybe twice if I'm feeling froggy.

Exit, stage left A pick pocket had to capitalize on distractions when they happened. Parmen blended into the growing crowd as best he could, appearing to be gawking at the unfortunate couple with everyone else. He managed to achieve ‘social invisibility’ and seemed to have just come out of the pasta-serving restaurant, even though he hadn’t. A shifting movement of his arm caused a small and very sharp knife to travel down his sleeve and into his palm. He positioned himself carefully next to the rotund blowhard opining to his female companion about the clumsiness of the old couple. One hand discreetly held the money purse while the other sawed patiently at the cord tying it to the mark’s belt. One loop…and the other…there! The knife and coin purse disappeared as he joined a generous soul entering the street to assist the couple. Gathering up some of the packages while the other helped the couple to their feet, be brought the packages to the elderly woman with his most winning smile. "Here you go, ma’am. Would you like--" "Thieves!" In perfect unison, Parmen and the (probably) genuinely good Samaritan turned with equally confused looks back to the blowhard. He was looking at them with righteous fury. Damn, I should have tried a different way away from this mark. None of that showed on his face though. He and the Samaritain looked at each other now with suspicious confusion, as if wondering about the other…

Possible PC Possible PC, depending on party needs Name: Uri Race: Human (Doesn’t have to be) Class: Rogue (Doesn’t have to be) Subclass: Inquisitor (higher Wis) or Mastermind (higher Cha)…depends on party needs Background: City Watch, customized Personality:   Uri (not his real name, not that it matters) isn’t nearly as paranoid as he should be. But he isn’t particularly quick to trust, either. When he enters a room he notes the exits and assesses the threats. If he asks for a drink, he watches the barkeep to make sure nothing was added to the mug. He has a dry wit (or at least he thinks so) and favors simple clothes and foods, not wanting to call too much attention to himself. He isn’t a loner by choice but efforts to build connections to watch his back haven’t gone well. His fate has left him bitter though he hasn’t despaired. Yet. Backstory:   Born ‘illegitimate,’ young Uri grew up not quite poor but not comfortable. His adoptive father and his mother loved him but the only trade he learned from them was the trade of charlatans. Uri learned the lessons he had to bring money into the household but he knew that wasn’t what he wanted to spend his life doing. He tried to join a mercenary company but washed out. He even tried going to another city and joining the watch, but his parent’s past (and the forged bona fides he had provided) caught up with him. So with reluctance he started running scams, building up contacts, moving up in the crime families. But while he was lucky, lead his subordinates well, and planned his crimes carefully, he lacked the ruthlessness to do onto his rivals before they did unto him. And one day it cost him, because he was set-up to help steal from a wizard. Only they were much more than a simple wizard, and decided to do something crueler than simply kill Uri and his crew as a punishment. He found himself vanishing from the world he grew up in, his screams blending with those of his crew...

Morris got up and dusted off his white coat, grumbling, and he wasn't the only one upset. He got up to see what was what. There was a symbol on the door. Is... is that what I think it is? I can't quite see... Whether it was or not, it looked close enough that he decided to turn away from the crowd. Collecting some fallen cards, Morris made for an alleyway. A man can't dip his hand in the take jar without everything turning upside down. It's not my fault the owner refused to give me my back pay! A shape appeared at the end of the alley, so Morris chose to turn down another. It might be prudent to get out of town...
