Well, I promised decisions, and I strive to be a man of my word.
This was in no way easy. I hate making player selections because invariably I have to leave folks behind when I’d much rather have them with me. I have to be fair to myself and the players I do select, though, and that leads me to a policy of taking more players than the scenario calls for, but not so many that the odds of individual player issues cause the game to stall or posting becomes cumbersome due to the large number of interactions. I want the game to thrive, and for that to happen, I have to prune the tree. I spent all weekend fretting about narrowing things down, getting increasingly nitpicky to form a group that I feel has the best chance of striking a balance between people I know I like gaming with, people who deserve a chance, and looking for a diversity of styles. Not getting selected for this particular game is not a reflection on the applicant in any way.
