[Other] 007: Dying Is Not Enough

Love James Bond and spy movies, but know nothing about the game rules of 'Classified'. However, it's too good of an opportunity to turn down. I hope my character application is in fitting with the game. It's a bit of a stereotype of character but then isn't that what this is all about?

This seems really great and I was thinking of running a spy game of Double Zero, so I'll apply here and check this out.

Jonas Sanders Name: Jonas Sanders Age: 25 (+ something) Nationality: American (see history for reason why. I'm not ties to being American, I just don't know a ton about England, but I'm happy to change.) Personality: When off the clock, he's pretty sociable and out going. Affable and easy to get along with. On the clock, he's very serious and willing to risk a lot of himself to get the job done and get results. Likes reading and movies where people talk a lot. Family:He's got a pretty good family by all accounts. Mom and dad who love him. An older sister who was kind of aloof but always looked out for him. The sister has a husband and a few kids. Jonas has no spouse or significant other right now, his adventures and training don't allow for it. History: Jonas lived a relatively average life except for one thing; his family moved constantly. Mom had a job working in different labs all over the world and spent a lot of time in Europe and England, meaning Sanders picked up and moved seemingly every year. This provided an opportunity for him to get to know the country of England and the people of it, from tip to tip and fall in love with it and want to protect it, even if from itself. Jonas spent years reading and learning the craft of investigation and and taking action. He joined the reserves to pick up some weapons skills and physical fitness, dropped off the grid for a little while to pick up demolitions and other tricks taught best on the mean streets. Then when he learned most of what he could without government oversight, he went about trying to get the attention of MI6. They saw the fire in him and have trained him to go the rest of the way for being their go to guy when violence may be called for and. Profession: Freelancer Specialty: Jonas is on his way to being a top shelf "Man on the Ground". He's got some training in a lot of different areas, but especially those of rough trade. If there's a dangerous job to do and you need someone to do it, it'll probably be him. Other: I think of there is a need for any of the three roles above, I'd be happy to rewrite this and make Jonas fit in a little better.

I wish I had time to add another game to my list, but I wanted to at least come here and show my support for Humble Hero's game. This sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

Looks perfectly good to me, every group needs someone who can handle tech, and Z3R0 fits the bill.

By all means, add being British if you feel it makes sense, I have no plans to quiz anyone or have the nationality come up much (if at all). Bond, for example, was always British, he didn't bother with fake accents, and he got along just fine... so, if you think being British suits Jonas, go for it!

I, myself, am Australian. So my knowledge of England is average, if that makes a difference.

I think, given our character types right now, an action hero/action man type would be ideally suited. You would be able to bring the big guns to bear, and would likely handle specialist weapons, depending how deeply you wanted to go into that archetype.

You could also dabble in stealth, to have options - loud or silent.

Very happy for you to adjust and go that route, if it interests you, and I can help streamline the character to be what you need!

You sure? It's just some mission-by-mission spy fun, and isn't a very demanding posting expectation (1-3 posts a week)!

I can understand that, for sure. That said, I'm a busy person offline, so I'm flexible when it comes to others being busy during the week. I won't hold it against you if you maintain the 1 post per week, so long as you're comfortable playing a little catch up if big things happen?

It would be a shame to miss out on some spy fun, anyway, if you could manage it.

Entirely up to you, the option is there if you want to consider it!

I love Bond, and I've played this game in the past several times to very enjoyable success, so I am very much looking forward to GMing and providing some (hopefully) similarly enjoyable fun for you all!

Application looks good, and adjustments are spot on.

For his age, if you want to roll a 1d6 in this thread, and then add that to his 25 - you can then take that rolled number, which gives you the number of years in his profession (Freelancer) as well as the number of Fields of Experience (1 per year from Freelancer).

Looks good! Only change I see is you listed MI5, which should be MI6. Otherwise, solid application, and it's always great having a Scot on the team!

General Information, also remember that if your profession doesn't list a Field of Experience you want, there will be opportunity on full character creation - via secret threads per player - where you can pick from general fields.

So, for now, don't sweat the profession/fields details. We will get to them and get everything lined up!
