Fiddlesticks, knew I forgot something. Added a Backstory header to the app. Doesn't have to be extensive, but I sure would like to know a little of the world's these poppets are coming from!

Gug, Space Caveman Name : Gug Ancestry/Heritage : Human (Versatile) Class : Cleric (Warpriest) Archetype : Dragon Disciple Background: Feral Child Description : Gug is a caveman with a heavy brow and wild hair. Gug is encased in a state of the art battle armor that he does not understand. The ai in the suit has managed to boost his intelligence somewhat but poor Gug is still a caveman. Link to Brinkton: Gug has grown to like Brinkton. With his newfound intellect Gug knows that he would no longer fit in with his tribe. Important Person 1: Valence is a Deep Region Armor Guidance and Onboard Network (D.R.A.G.O.N.), an ai inhabiting the suit Gug has found himself wearing. Designed to assist whoever is wearing the suit, she remains flabbergasted at the particulars of her new pilot. Important Person 2: “Smelly” Liam Leatherson – A trapper, tanner, and Gug’s current employer. Valence eventually convinced Gug that living in the woods alone was a bad idea. Upon wandering into town, Gug was taken in by Liam and put to work. Key Event : Without encountering the armor and meeting the dragon, Gug would not be who he is today. Without the dragon’s influence he would still be an unevolved neanderthal and most likely dead. General Background: Whilst exploring Gug fell into a deep hole within a ceremonial cave. He awoke falling to his imminent death near Brinkton. His life was saved by the dragon armor, but it crashed in the process, causing immense damage to itself. As Gug inspected the thing that had saved him it grabbed him and donned itself. Through the use of neural training programs and stim injections the armor’s ai, Valence, has managed to elevate Gug’s intellect well beyond that of his origins.   Gug held his torch high as he watched the murals dance in its light. He was farther into the hunters’ cave than he had ever been, farther than he had thought anyone had ever been, and yet the paintings continued. Paying more attention to the wall than his feet, Gug was unaware of the hole until it was too late. One step too far and he was gone, swallowed by the blackness of the cave, a smoldering torch the only evidence of his existence. The wind howled as it sped past his ears and Gug howled with it. He was falling. Beside him a cliff raced past, too far away and too fast to help. Below, a yawning void stretched for eternity. Suddenly a gleam of silver crashed into Gug, arresting his descent, and sending him careening back up the cliff face. Looking behind at what was lifting him, Gug beheld gleaming silver wings. Turning towards the rock face, he could see the top of the cliff swiftly approaching. But even Gug’s primitive mind could see the angle was wrong, they were too low. Just before impact with the cliff, the creature’s wings folded around Gug. The pair plowed into the cliff’s edge, glittering shards careening away at high speed. Flipping end over end they were thrown apart. Gug landed in some bushes, scratched but still alive, he praised the spirits for his salvation. The winged beast was not so fortunate. It continued its twisting arc through the air to land amongst a pile of boulders. There its shattered form lay twitching as Gug approached. The spirits had sent this beast to save him and he should at least end its misery. As he kneeled above what he assumed to be the thing’s head it suddenly lurched, and his arm was trapped in its claw. He screamed as it slowly enveloped him, then all was black. A series of pinpricks inched along Gug’s spine, each sending a jolt that radiated outward to his limbs and then seemed to echo back towards his head. His visioned lightened and he could see his surroundings once more. A voice sounded in his ear. “Greetings, this is DRAGON AI designation Valence. Please state your name and inform me of our location. This unit is damaged and needs repair.” Gug began to kneel in terrified supplication at the sound but stopped before he hit the ground. He had understood it, at least a little. The voice spoke again, softer, less urgently. “Hello, I am Valence, who are you?” He knew how to respond. Slowly, he opened his mouth. "Me, Gug."

Ericg1s, if you could throw a brief background in there when you have some time, I am intrigued by this actor. Very interesting set of details so far.

Ermine, My headcanon is that Clarabel was the Judge with psychic powers from the Dredd movie. Obviously it doesn't have to be that, but just so you know, any time I reference Cake, that's in the back of my head. Also, I very appreciate that you gave me another brain in a jar to play with.

Fatgunn, yessssss I was so hoping someone would go the caveman route! And what a fun way to do it, too.

I'm starting to think Automaton may fit better than poppet for Cake. It won't change anything about her at this point, but I think I will make the change.

Was having fun thinking about this, so I wrote up an expanded version of the backstory.

The World Just Needs Smart People... Like Myself Name : Raloran Stonelight Ancestry/Heritage : Human (Skilled) Class : Sorcerer (Imperial) Archetype : Runescarred (Dedication) {Divine Lance} Description : Raloran is a young man standing a confident 5'10", with sleek white hair. He always wears long sleeve shirts, to hide the traces on his arm. He tends to tie a braid in the front of his head, for some sort of training Master Zul gave him, but he became accustomed to it. The back of his right hand has a bare patch, revealing some sort of small piece of circuit board. Link to Brinkton : No true link. Raloran finds himself there to study the machines. Important Person 1 : Zul Han, Lost Art Master of the Chronos Academy of Excellence. He was Raloran's main teacher, helping him master the lost art of Ferromancy, as well as help him brew the 'Liquid Vat' that he always carries with him. Raloran respects Master Zul, having him to thank for helping him learn how to use his scarring. Important Person 2 : Biorg Fistbrow, the Dwarf who adopted Raloran when he was 8, living in the town of Minulok. Being an old friend of Raloran's parents, Biorg was always set to become Raloran's god parent, though even with 8 years to prepare, was still feeling unfit to parent the young human, even with getting the boy into a prestige Chronos college. Raloran doesn't consider Biorg his father, but just his caretaker, leaving a bit of a strained relationship. Key Event : The Scarring While living in the town of Daurstad with his parents, the town was attacked by strange machines, which went onto a rampage and attacked everything they saw. Many of the people were defenseless, being left to fate whether or not the machines attacked and killed them. Raloran's folks were two of those people, with his father only able to damage one with a hammer before he fell. The machines core was open... Raloran, in a fit of rage, punched the machine in said opening, his fist damaging the weakened shell of a core... and the engine roared frantically, stinging and zapping the youths arm. When he recoiled his hand, a chunk of the core had gotten wedged into his hand. After he was found and recovered, they found the piece of tech had cauterized itself into his flesh, due to the heat. As time went on, his arm seemed to gain some strange lines, similar to traces on a motherboard. Turns out these machines were constructed around said core, being able to attach metal and form their bodies. Raloran's affinity to metal changed from this point on... General Background : Raloran Stonelight was the child of two mechanics, who spent their time helping the city of Daurstad with crafting their machines and tools to use in everyday life. As a child, his life was a bit sheltered, due to his lack of interest of dealing with other children. After an event caused the death of his parents, Raloran was adopted by a Dwarven friend of theirs, moving to Minulok. Raloran was given a lush life, with anything he wanted, including being able to attend Chronos's most pristine college, the Academy of Excellence. He took this time to study his scar, learn about machines and minerals, and crafting his own substance called "Liquid Vat", a liquid metal that his scarring would be able to utilize to his will. After his studies were done, he took his Liquid Vat and decided to explore and learn more about those machines that attacked his home town. He'll travel to the brink of time if he had to... wait, brink of time? Perfect, taking his knowledge with him, he makes his way to Brinktown to start his research.

I have too many cantrips for the sheet I use (mythweavers). <.< 5 from base class + 1 from mystery + 1 from ancestry + 2 from archetype (for 9) and the sheet I use only has 8 spots. I'm thinking I'll have to use one of the other sections in it to track spells and such instead of the actual spell page...

Well, this is slightly ominous. Four apps in 8 days is not totally promising for a level of interest. Either I overestimated even the meager level PF2E would garner, or I haven't laid out as appealing a scenario as I believed, but I don't want to lead folks on. I was looking for at least five to work with and build around, but I think maybe there's too much freedom and not enough guidance?

I'll give it a few more days, but to those that have applied, I see your work and I apologize if this doesn't take off. I just don't want to drive forward and make us all put in the work if *I* can't get completely invested.
