Personality: Jolly is a cheerful worker, if she thinks you're worth your salt. Anyone that isn't making her life easier or her pockets heavier isn't worth her time.

Backstory: Jolly comes from a family of shipwrights who have a reputation for making fine vessels. Crafting from design is all well and good, if you're a designer. But Jolly quickly found that the real fun of being a shipwright was sailing on the vessel and keeping it afloat. She's not great at rubbing elbows with nobles and wealthy artisans that could advance her status, but she's skilled enough to maintain her position and hopes to secure a position on a lengthy voyage.

2 personality traits: I’m rude to people who lack my commitment to hard work and fair play. But I’m a hopeless romantic, always searching for that “perfect world.”

Bond:I entered seclusion to hide from the ones who might still be hunting me. I must someday confront them.
Flaw:Now that I've returned to the world, I enjoy its delights a little too much.
Personality: Plaque was a bit more of an aspiring and sophisticated girl that wished to gain her Papa's approval. After the loss of her eye and her isolation, she's become meek in conversations. Mostly hiding behind her bird mask to avoid eye contact. But inside her mind lay an astute intelligence with schemes and plots a brewing for a certain someones downfall.

Other than that, she has a love for sweets and prefers not to be generally involved in personal affairs.
Appearance: Plaque usually wear well sophisticated clothing, but the most noticeable features of her is her silver hair and monocle, oh which the latter hides a hideous scar. However, hidden underneath these sophisticated clothes lay much more nastier things then the scar on her eye. Her body looks to be affected by a fungal malady that started spreading all over her veins. Plaque does not feel any pain, this is simply what she must become for the things that need to be done.

Backstory: Plaque used to be a daughter of a wealthy merchant, their names were lost from the record books due to outside influences. She worked with him as the ship's doctor, she wanted to one day cure all ailments someday, but that never happened. It was cause her father had angered the wrong crowd, the type that were aligned to a demon cult. The next thing they know, the ship was waylaid by demons and Plaque was horrifically traumatized by what she witnessed and what they did to her. Despite that, she survived to only find herself drifting ashore in the middle of the seas. For weeks she spent her days adrift and tried to find land but it did not bore fruit. In her final days, she cursed the demons that destroyed her life but it was a futile attempt as no one heard her, that's what she thought at least. All of a sudden, the driftwood she was using as a raft, started decaying and rotting, and also growing these fungal growths. The growth did not stop as they consumed the wood, they started to consume the girl and all the girl could do was watch in horror and black out. The next thing she knew, she was on an uninhabited island. Wearing nothing but the tattered and bloody clothes she worn and also a mask. She didn't remember bringing it, yet she had a feeling that she needed it. It gave her comfort. She spent her days on that island, learning the ancient rituals from the mask she took ownership of. And when she was ready, she built a raft and left the island to enact her hunt.

Quick question for the tone of the game. I see that we will be fighting pirates, among other things. Are we expected to be privateers sailing for adventure under an established patron? Or are we going to be good pirates?

Who says we have to be either privateers or pirates? We could be honest merchant adventurers, sailing our vessel, the Trueheart, with a shipment of precious vaccines to save a city that is being decimated by magic resistant plague.

I have a weakness for the vices of the city, especially hard drinks.

Personality: Sometimes a little showy sometimes a little righteous (but he blames his ancestors for that). Always willing to share his wisdom and if you're lucky it wont be as hindsight. He's happiest running around with a tribe putting arrows in things but struggles with settling down for too long in one place and sometimes wonders if he should have joined that band of troubadours when he was young. He has picked up a few fancy words, likes to use them but is not really sure about what they mean. Generally confident in the sailing and killing department as he's not squirmish around blood of any colour

Appearance: Above average for a Goblin in the looks department - tall, handsome, lovely yellow eyes (until he's been drinking then they go a playful shade of orange). Not often seen with his kit off so he can be recognised by his dyed studded armour, his favourite bow and the weird thing he has for having a double shortsword sheath. Most folks would have one on each side but not this Goblin.

Backstory: Frak (as he's OK to be known by) grew up with a Goblin tribe where everyone shared in everything. Even though there were distinct families everyone was treated like aunts, uncles, cousins even if not directly related. This helped create strong bonds but also creates a desire to have those bonds replicated with others. This particular Tribe primarily lived on ships and had familial networks amongst other more land based Tribes (lets call them wreckers to keep the tale shorter). Frak's Tribe lived on their Goblin ship the Storm Goblineer and during one mid-sea event where they tried to help another ship with its port fees (lets call this privateering to be nice) things went a little awry. The Goblineer ended up heavily damaged and on fire and only managed to limp part way back to the coast before sinking. Things get a little hazy for Frakt after this, images of floating and members of his Tribe disappearing inbetween - this is when his Ancestors came to him, encouraging him to keep afloat, hang on, swim to shore. He must have made it at some point or was rescued as things become easier to remember (so his Ancestors tell him). A human woman had taken him in, lived in a cave many many leagues from his current location and helped nurse him back to normality. She became his new Tribe supported his learning to hunt along the coast and all was well until one day he returned with a fine catch of fish and the cave was empty and he had lost his second Tribe. Frak became quiet and distrustful for a while, never risking committing to a new Tribe, bounced round a few different crews and never settling and now he his onto his next one, but he's less quiet this time round (well apart from talking about his cave lady, he's still looking for her - thats what Tribes do)

My rolls come out pretty close to an "average citizen." May I reroll or swap to point buy? If not, I'll roll with these numbers.

Appearance: Fizzle stands at a height of roughly three feet tall. His frame is thin but muscular. His hair is jet black and usually kept rather stylishly parted to one side and his skin is grayish in color. He's abandoned his traditional gnome attire for an outfit more suiting for a seafaring adventurer; complete with fancy boots and a cape.

Personality: In his mind, Fizzle is a world-class craftsman and an Adventurer, destined for glory. Often, what others see is a power-crazed Gnome with grandiose ambitions. One thing that no one can deny is his love of the ship. He sees any damage to it as an injury to a close and personal friend and himself as its surgeon. Another thing that no one can deny is that the Gnome is chatty and rather friendly. When he's not busy working on the ship, he is often found chatting up his crewmates. He enjoys setting up a music box that produces a small amount of light for everyone's entertainment.

Background: Fizzle was born a Carpenter. More accurately, he was born the son of a Carpenter that wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. Learning to craft was fun but the boy was often distracted by his own attempts at tinkering. Around the time he turned 30, he started realizing his arcane potential. Rather than allowing it to change his course, he learned to harness that power and became an even greater craftsman and tinker. After some time, he began to lose his passion for crafting wagons, weapons, and armor. One day, after work, he decided to go down to the docks and treat himself to a bottle of rum at an outside bar and restaurant.

While enjoying a nice cigar and sipping on his rum, Fizzle watched the ships coming and going. Their movements had always been relaxing for the gnome. While watching their less than graceful movements, he had an epiphany. I could make them better! Suddenly, the young crafter had only one singular purpose in life. He was going to craft the greatest ship to ever set sail on the high seas! His masterpiece would be the envy of all who came into contact with it. First, he would have to learn everything he could about ships. He wanted to understand how they were built, how they operated, and how they could be improved...
