Plot Summary You have been contacted by a corporation, Pithitakun, to "gather" a new strain of Adanadi from another corporation, Makpich. But who are you? You are all roughly the same age, and were married, born, or adopted into the same mercenary family. You may or may not be from the same tribe, but none of that matters to you; you are family, and family is important. The job, Pithitakun's representative told you, should be easy, since scientists mostly work in their homes or rented labs. You just have to find records of where that home or lab is. And when you do, you should find where the experimental Adanadi is stored. Bring it back to them, and get a few fistfulls of hemp paper nizi (so it can't be traced back to Pithitakun). The experimental Adanadi, by the way, is supposedly from a newly discovered animal washed up on the shores of Ti'Swaq Alliance land and smuggled all the way to Cahokia in the Free Lands. Supposedly, it can even grant a new ability to those who choose its Path. But this is all just conjecture and rumor. Pithitakun is looking for hard facts. And they want them in the next week. You have all gathered in your home base - your home. Together, you've been coming up with plan after plan. But you all agree you're probably overthinking this after the first day, and are setting out soon to gather information for the heist. Four days remain.

If you are non-native, do not play a two-spirit individual, or one from a specific tribe. It is also literally a rule in the book that bigots and racists are not allowed to play the game, so...yeah. Thought I'd share that rule. I am looking for one to four characters. You can have up to two characters each, but I may not select both of your characters when I make my selection. I aim for 1 post per week, but I may be slower or faster. I am new to GMing this game, and am still learning the rules, but if you have rules questions, I can still answer them (I have both the book and the pdf). You WILL need the core rulebook in book or pdf form (PDF is like a third of the price, so I recommend that unless you really want to support the creators).

I'm definitely intrigued... but I don't want to spend money on the rules if I DON'T get in. Is there a short and free summary of the setting and/or what sort of things we might want to say about our characters? I don't know where to begin with "Anything you feel describes your character."

Oh, absolutely; you don't need to buy the book until you're selected. That's why I put the Path and Archetype info there.

I'll probably read that article in case it says something the book doesn't. ^~^

As for the description, include whatever you feel is relevant and important about your character. It could be backstory, appearance, personality, or all of the above. Just a paragraph to get a feel for the non-mechanical side of your character. When I get home, I can give examples from the book from the sample characters in the back, but it's not really something that's necessary, rules-wise, I just need to know what you find important in order to give a good story and get a general idea of what to expect.

Jaya Jaya is young and a bit naive, but they're also full of energy and a desire to prove their worth. They see themselves as a visionary and are always sure of themselves. Coming from a household with very stern parents, Jaya is determined to shine. Jaya is intimidated by and slightly afraid of Dezba. Jaya is attracted to Ahanu but wouldn't admit it.

Dezba Dezba is the oldest sibling in a family of eighr from the Free Lands. Growing up in a rural area, their family often encountered less than friendly Keetoowagi Federation and Haudenosaunee parties. Dezba's first answer to problems is often to reach for their war club, even when a conversation would do. But it's almost always in the name of protecting others. Dezba only defers to Holata and often conflicts with Aten.

Ahanu Ahanu is vibrant and bold, almost always positive. A deeply spiritual person, Ahanu sees the divine and magical in almost everything. Ahanu has a very tight, large family and is a true altruist. Ahanu sometimes snubs tradition and rules and is likely to be the first to speak up for those they feel are either victims or underdogs. Ahanu wants to learn from Kimi and feels that Holata is too rigid in their thinking.

Obviously, you'll be leaving out the relationships to other characters until everyone is selected, but feel free to define older and younger family members. This should give a rough idea of what I'm expecting.

Once per week posting rate? I can, I can mostly handle that. Also a good reason to read my pdf that has been collecting virtual dust with the hundreds of others.
