Plot Summary Welcome home, new student! You have been enrolled into the prestigious Yukiko Academy, a boarding school for eccentric students! You need not fret about not fitting in, or being special, because everybody here has issues quirks. You will be assigned a resting quarters with other weirdos students who have similar needs interests, and your course-work will include extracurricular studies to help you overcome your flaws achieve many of your life's goals! --- The Facts --- You will be playing an anime character of your choosing, preferably one, whom you have great interest in, or that you know well. One who has flaws and will be interesting to play. The aim of this game is to be light-hearted, funny, and quite possibly with some kindergarten romance elements. I anticipate 70%/30% role play versus combat. Please note, that this may be an already established or original character too. Characters will start at a fairly high power level. The system we will be using will be Big Eyes Small Mouth 4e (the Primer will be good enough to enjoy this game. I like free. However, ALL BESM 4e books will be available for use, (as I own all of them). This will be an open enrollment game, meaning that the more, the merrier. I have successfully run online games with over 30 active people. The expectation I have for you as a player is that you will post at minimum once per week. You may come and go as you please, however, I do ask that if you know that you will be absent ahead of time, please shoot me a PM. Please do not post characters in this thread. A new Character Database thread will be created upon this game's approval. Characters will be given a generous 225 Character Points for a Super Powered game. You do not need to use ALL these points at character creation. This post will be modified for clarification as needed. Thank you for your interest!

It is NOT an all girls school. And honestly, I don't know if it does have the vibe of My Hero Academy... I haven't seen that one yet.

Don't worry too much about the point distribution. I still have to calculate the points I spent on Sakura. I do know that 225, should be way overkill for an initial character build.

I have one query, what does a "fairly high power level" mean in this game? What anime would you compare it to?

Do we have to play a pre-existing character? How about one original combined from a bunch of sources? I don't watch a lot of anime but I do have a couple favorites.

You're in! Actually it has been a goal of mine to run a "collaborative AU fanfiction" for quite some time. Never dawned on me that this may indeed be that plot.

Power level. Hmm, I'd need to know what anime you've seen to give you a good comparison. Given that I've only seen 20 or so various anime series, I can give you the feeling that somebody like Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo!, Nanoha Takamachi from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, or perhaps even Belldandy, herself from Ah! My Goddess could all easily fit in, aside from needed a slight tweak to make them misfits.

I've never played BESM 4th yet, so, this will be an experiment to me as well.

Anyway, feel free to draw up a character (it doesn't need to be final yet) in the Game thread with the [Characters] prefix.

Your characters do not have to be an exact copy of an established character, and yet, you may generate your own character, taking a piece of this character, and a part of that character and performing Masterwork Alchemy to create the perfect character for you. The game is pretty open-minded.

oh dear, BESM, it's been forever since I played it !

I think I'll step back from my current manga and not play some extremely interesting, yet disturbing characters from it. (chainsaw man)

I'd definitely be interested. I assume modern setting too. Should I post character concept first ?

Thematically, everyone is going to be some sort of magic girl/boy/henshin type hero, right? No mech pilots or Dragon Ball style martial artists? I’m just trying to narrow down some of these characters and themes.

Thank you! I really wanted to start a game like this for a long time. Yes it's going to be in modern day age mostly I'm looking for magical girls boys mages in general however if you have a character that's not magical but totally a freak and misfit they will be accepted as well.
